Las Palmas Supply Base
Bertling Spain operates a 20,000 square meter oil/gas exploration supply base in
Las Palmas. The facility is being used to receive, handle, store and deliver off shore
drilling equipment for deep water oil/gas exploration. The base was commissioned,
designed, constructed by Bertling to standards expected in the oil industry.

The FTZ Hub
Las Palmas Supply Base
The supply base consists of a secured
/ fenced / bonded (free trade zone)
storage facility consisting of a hard
surfaced yard (approximately 20,000
m2), with pipe racks fully in
accordance with standard API 5C for
the storage of Oil Country Tubular
Goods (OCTG).
Site office and facilities are within the
base. Managed by four Bertling
permanent staff, the facility is fully
operational and stores/handles in
excess of 5,000 tons of equipment.
Our procedures ensure daily & weekly
handling & machinery checks, safety
meetings & daily tool box talks prior to
the commencement of work.

Las Palmas Supply Base
Bertling provided undercover storage via an existing warehouse. The warehouse is laid out
with racking to store pallets and general cargo. Bertling utilize the warehouse as an ad-hoc
pay as you go facility or if needed can arrange a block reservation up to 500M2.

• "Benefits of the FTZ": Direct benefits associated to an efficient, quick &
cost-controlled Customary procedure. Due to its nature as Free Trade
Zone, FH Bertling Las Palmas Transit Base offers outstanding results
in terms of custom-clearance.
• Any good (provisions may apply to IMO Dangerous/Hazardous Cargo)
can be easily custom-cleared into FTZ, at no fiscal costs; enterprises
using FHB Base at Las Palmas are exempt of payments to Spanish
Customs and are entitled to a straightforward import/export process
that will ease their operations. Cargo may remain within the Free Trade
Zone for longer periods.
• Note that The Canary Islands hold a specific customary position within
the EU. The FTZ-condition is thus an operative plus for the Oil & Gas
Sector, enabling us to work on tight deadlines.
