Through LACF’s leadership, Google, LinkedIn, Symantec and Synopsys contributed to the Inspire Mountain View initiative, awarding $525,000 in grants to nine nonprofits to make their “hometown” community more equitable, compassionate, and a better place to work and play. MVLA Scholars Service League of Boys(SLOBs) Soil and Water Terrible Adult Chamber Orchestra (TACO) LACF incubates new nonprofits serving our community and provides operating support to reduce the complexities of being a standalone nonprofit. LACF sponsors: SPONSORED ORGANIZATIONS Leadership Education Advancement (LEAD) participants learn about community engagement and meet local leaders. Since 1995, over 400 residents have attended the program. • Los Altos Dispute Resolution Service involves community members in conflict management and mediation to help resolve individual and community disputes. LACF operates programs that encourage civic engagement, create new leaders, and build community. E3 Youth Philanthropy empowers students to become better citizens for tomorrow through hands-on learning of service, nonprofits, and grantmaking. LACF, its donor advised funds and programs gave $1.39 million in grants and scholarships to over 70 organizations serving Los Altos, Los Altos Hills and Mountain View, and scholarships to 120 local students - a 55% increase over the previous year.
