!San Sebastian del OesteHidden in the hills of the Sierra Madre is the historical city of San Sebastian Del Oeste.Founded more than 400 as the mining capital of the new Spain, this magnificient city is a living example of colonial Mexico.A short distance away from the animated beaches of Puerto Vallarta, San sebastian stand surrounded by pine trees, at 4000 feet in the Sierra Masdre, a paradise that has been preserved . Come see what makes this one of the Puebla Magica of Mexico. Discover cafe de Altura where they have been growing coffee for the past 5 generations.

DestilladerasThe most beautifull beach of the bay!

Upon arriving in Destilladerasyou will be enraptured not only by the beautiful scenery of the bay, but also by the family-friendly and welcoming ambiance that can be felt all along the five kilometer beach.It is common to see groups of young people and children playing with a ball, building interesting sand castles or jumping into the waves with their boogie boards.

The beach encourages contemplation with its open, clean lands. Or enjoy a stroll along the fine sand beach as you relax to the sounds of the waves and the sight of a breathtaking sunset.

El EdenWelcome to the famous Predator movie set, filmed in 1987: staring Arnold Schwarzenegger. A 30 minutes walks permits you to discover the suspended bridge above the Mismaloya river and to take a stroll in the jungle.

You can take a picture of the helicopter with the predator standing 2 feet high on top of it, try the zip line, swim in the natural pools or have a bite in the restaurant.

Boca de Tomatlan

This last beach on the South Shore accessible by local bus or car is nestled in a cove where the jungle and river meets the sea. Boca, or mouth, is where the river of Tomatlan flows into the Banderas Bay. Located only about 10 miles south of Puerto Vallarta, this small fishing village's economy relies on tourism and the local catch. It is mainly a jumping off point for exploration of the surrounding beaches and alcoves.

Sayulita

Feel like surfing? Sayulita is renowned internationally for its surf waves..

Located about 35 minutes north of Puerto Vallarta, the city has an ellectic and bohemian ambiance with artists, tourists, surfers and indians from Huichol and Cora tribes. This beautifull fishing village offers visitors magnificient beaches, a luxurious jungle and a rurual view of Mexico.

Boca de TomatesJust before you cross the Ameca River bridge that separate the Jalisco and Nayarit states,surrounded by banana and papaya trees, a 2km road leads you to Boca de Tomates .has a particular and exotic place: a crocodile swamp. Also, from June to October this beach is the turtles preferred place to lay their eggs. Don't forget to visit the Turtle Camp! This quiet beach usually attended by locals is a hotel-free and construction-free site known by the several seafood restaurants palapa style and quite popular that offer shower and bathroom service.

MismaloyaMismaloya is a small village, located on the coast of the Banderas Bay, at the mouth of the river of the same name, south of Puerto Vallarta. Most famous as the site where the 1963 film The night of the Iguana was filmed, The set and crew quarters rise up the hill on the south side of the Mismaloya cove. Sadly, the set is only ruins now.The beach at Playa Mismaloya is located in a lovely cove, with a full view of Los Arcos sea rocks - a great place to snorkel and scuba dive. There are boats which tourists can hire, and the beach is home to several restaurants. You can also visit the zoo or take the road to El Eden.

San PanchoSan Pancho has preserved its rural essence and the authenticity of a picturesque Mexican town. Here one can still enjoy the serenity and the principles of old Mexico; where people take the time to chat rather than rushing to do business.

Just an hours drive north of Puerto Vallarta airport but a world apart, San Pancho sits peacefully upon a wide palm fringed golden beach wrapped in a lush cloak of verdant jungle. Quiet cobblestone streets provide visitors and residents a safe haven in which to wander and discover the town, with delightful restaurants close at hand to enjoy delicious refreshment.

Las Animas

Beautifull beach of 600 meters long with a fine and white sand and gentle waves. Its clear water is perfect for snorkeling and its flat horizon permits you to see whales and dolfins from afar.

You can also rent horses, waterskiing, parasailing, try the adventure park in the trees or simply relax on the beach. Accessible only by watertaxi or a hike in the jungle.Hike in the jungle

Why not discover the bay with a hike following the coast south of Puerto Vallarta? We offer you a walk in the jungle lasting about 2 hours leasving from Boca de Tomatlan. Encounter magnificient beaches acessible only by taxiboats,like Los Colomitos, and Las Caletas. The path will take you through rivers, luxurious jungle,many species of tropical birds,butterflies, iguanas and lizards, as well as all kinds of plants and trees.

Dont forget your baithing suit and your camera! You can take a taxiboat from any beach to return to the city.

La DesembocadaLocated about 1 hour from Puerton Vallarta, La Desembocada is a small village of about 600 peoples where you can find mostly farms and ranches. Following the river Mascotta a walk in the jungle will take you to thermal pools.

Built by the villagers, stone made pools permits you to indulge in the hot waters. The Mascota river close by allows you to cool down. A day of relaxation guaranteed with the sound of the river and the surrounding nature.

Los ReyesLos Reyes is a small village located about 2 hours in the heart of the Sierra Madre.A scenic road takes you to another time where lifes goes on slowly. On the way you will pass a mine that is still active and breathtaking scenery.

Upon arriving, we descend in the canyon and will explore the valley and the remains of the old San Juan mine. A cave awaits you and a fall drops behind the village.

YelapaNestled in the southern most cove of the Bay of Banderas is Yelapa. Easily accessible by boat, the beach is covered in golden sand great for sunbathing.Wether it is to swim, snorkel, walk in the jungle or in the village towards the waterfall, relaxing is assured. With no cars, the tranquility of the place fels like a paradise. Numerous restaurants awaits you on the beach and you can also take a picture with an Iguana.

Please note that there is no interac payment or automatic teller in Yelapa.
