Generation of sociability or social awareness.*4.Integral development of personality.*5.Propogation of purity.*6.Preservation of knowledge and culture.Education during those days was free. No outside agencies could interfere in the matters ofeducation. There was perfect autonomy. No external authorities, no external beneficiaries,no politics were permitted to enter the school or college system. A student had nothing topay in return for his education he received in Gurukul or Ashram. Access to education wasdependent not in wealth but on talent only.GURU in Sanskrit means--GU- invisible darkness and RU- dispelling it.

Teacher will sow the seeds of education and grows in us the tree of knowledge which in laterages bears the fruits of wisdom. That was the sacred duty of our respected teachers in ourlife.

While I was studying the past issues of KP-EZine that I consider and greatly believed as thewell-known ancient university "Thaksala" in Bharatha, I read the article written on Mars

Dosha, by Sri Tin Win ji. There Sri Tin win Ji has mentioned "All major life events of a na-tive including longevity are to be predicted according to his Natal Horoscope. Therefore, lon-gevity of a native cannot change by marrying anyone including a so-called Manglik as shownbelow".

Though I quoted this, I am not going to write about Mars Dosaha, but there is a universaltruth behind the quote that any good or bad astrological indications in one's chart do notaffect to anybody else. If something happened to a native, it is due to his own Karma. It isnot someone else's Karma.

The reason for this introduction to my article is a query from a mother of a young girl,whose father was died recently and this mother was told by someone that this girl will bemaraka for her father and the mother was worried and wanted to read the chart of this girlto see any more misfortune for the family members, especially for the mother. Question 1: Aspects on Rasi in KPI am in need of some clarification on ASPECTS in KP.

I am following the contents of http://groups.yahoo.com/group/k_p_system/files/ "HinduAspects with Orb" (14.06.2012), which is similar to Vedic as used in my basic education ofVedic and no question at all.But in the Placidus Bahawa chart, when a planet aspects a sign, where there is not any cuspin that sign, what are the results of aspecting planet?I have attached a chart appearing such a condition.In the chart, 9thhouse is running from 9th cusp (28.31.21 Cancer) to 10th cusp (01.01.51 Vir-go). It means that 9thhouse is spreading from 28.31.21 area of Cancer sign, throughout whole

the Placidus cusps and placing the planets in the houses, the house-based chart denotesthe correct occupation and lordship of planets in finding KP significators. (Example chart inKP Reader I, page 144).

Hindu Aspects

In the solved examples of the KP six Readers, only the Hindu aspects are used without con-sidering the orb, although it is encouraged to study the Western aspects. The Hindu aspects(Drishtis) are counted from rasi to rasi, irrespective of the positions of the planets in therasis and the relative distance between the two planets i.e. not from degree to degree like inthe Western aspects. Planets aspect the entire rasis with or without any planet or cuspthere, and the closer an aspect on any located planet or cusp is, the stronger the resultwould be.

Area of a HouseIt is truethat the area of 9thhouse is from 9th cusp in Cancer, through Leo sign, up to next10th cusp in Virgo. Whatever planet(s), here Uranus, located in this area is considered inthe 9th house. Leo sign without any cusp appearing is called the intercepted sign.

Aspect on RasiIn the attached chart Ve, Sa, Me in 3rd house aspect Leo sign where there is no cusp butamalgamated with 9thhouse. In that case, generally some may consider the effects of as-

pecting planets on that sign Leo.

KP Grade E significatorBut remember that whatever aspt or conj. is not a significator, and grade E significators byaspt/conj. are those planets aspt/conj. by grade A,B,C,D significators. Even grade E signifi-cators are very weak and used as the last resort only.

star lord and lord of the sign where located.Those who do consider Rahu and Ketu to have aspects, generally consider them to aspectthe 5th, 7th and 9th, similar to Jupiter's aspect.However, none of the astrological treatises ascribed to any of the rishis gives aspects to Ra-hu and Ketu. Trying to use planetary aspects for Rahu and Ketu would be misleading and a

Question 3: How can astrologers Moon reflect querents mind?Dear Sir,I fail to understand as to how the position of the Moon in a chart drawn according to astrolo-gers place and astrologers time will reflect the mind of the questioner.

Answer 3:Such a common practice is not logical, in other words the position of the Moon in a chartdrawn according to astrologers place and astrologers convenient time will not reflect themind of the questioner.
