On 10 April 2010, a Tupolev Tu-154M plane was carrying Lech Kaczyński, his wife Maria Kaczyńska, andother members of a Polish delegation from Warsaw to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the Katyń massacre of Polish army officers and intelligentsia. The plane crashed while approaching Smolensk AirBase in Russia at 08:56 Eastern European Time (06:56 GMT). The plane hit trees in foggy conditions

One of my acquaintances was desperate to have an important meeting with a top-notch official and was

enlisted in the queue. The officer was available in station from 12th April to April 16, 2010.

The person did not get appointment for meeting till 13th April and in desperate mood, he contacted me on

Tuesday: April 13, 2010 at about 1330 Hrs to find out, when will the meeting take place.

This prashna was attempted by the time chart given on next page.

The chart is being analysed as follows:

The Query

Look to the position of Moon to read the mind of the querist. Moon happens to be placed in 8th house, which

shows the frustration of the querist for not getting time from the other end.

Moon was placed in the star of retro Saturn meaning that the native was apprehending that there would be

no meeting so getting more frustrated.

Thus, the mental focus on the query was established in the prashna chart. Hence, it was OK to proceed for

analyzing the query.

The co-ordinates for judgment

In this query, the native seeking appointment was represented by lagna and the official with whom the

meeting was sought was represented by the 7th house.

The call intimation for the meeting is represented by the 3rd house. If the meeting has to take place, the

3rd and 9th house should link with the 11th house.

Analysis of the chart

• Calculate the significations for 3-9-11th houses.

3rd house is vacant and Sun is placed in the star of the owner Mercury. Hence, the 3rd house

significators are Sun and Mercury. 9th house has Sun and Mercury placed in it tenanting Saturn and

• Mercury, Jupiter, Saturn and Mars.

Thus, the common significators to be considered came out to be Mercury, Jupiter and Saturn.

• The significators were analyzed for fruitfulness as follows.

Mercury was placed in the sub of Mars who being a strong planet happened to be the sub-lord of 6-10th

house and placed in 12th house. Thus, Mercury did not promote the fructification of meeting.

Jupiter falls in the sub of Ketu placed in 12th house; hence this is not taken as fruitful to establish the

meeting.

Saturn is the sub-lord of the 3rd cusp, playing the important role for meeting but being retro would not

allow the meeting to take place.

Thus none of the significators of 3-9-11th house agreed to establish the meeting.

• Note the 9th cusp for the desire of the officer to meet. 9th cusp sub-lord is Jupiter which falls in its

own star placed in 8th house thereby having no desire to meet the querist. The sub-lord Ketu decided

similarly, as said above.

• Note if 11th sub-lord has any scope of hope for materializing the meeting. Its sub-lord is Mercury and as

analyzed earlier, it does not allow the meeting.

• Note Fortuna, which is placed in 12th house in the star of Jupiter placed in 8th house. Hence, it was

sufficient to gather that the meeting would not take place.

Conclusion

Based on the analysis, it was concluded that the said meeting would not take place and it is futile for the

querist to wait to meet the officer.

Facts of the case

Surprisingly, the officer flew to his headquarters on April 15, 2010 morning itself and did not honor many

meeting commitments and did not forward any word of regret to any one of them. Yet, the querist was not

even listed for meeting, as known through his secretary later after he left.

Would it be prudent enough to say that KP principles are perfect and errors in judgment are accounted to

our lack of understanding, prompting us to look deeper into the invisible?

I considered the ascendent as Stephen Court’s self or its existence and so the rule of implementation

must be defined as health-favour (being rescued) of it.

Implemented Rule Regarding Rescue Of Stephen Court

When 1st CSL signifies 1st (self existence), 5th (being rescued) and 11th (fulfilment of desire), then during

the DBAS and the transit of these signifacators, the fire would be controlled. Here 1st CSL Me is the star

and sub of own Me and so it is strong by its placement and empty house. Me is placed in 4 th and owns 8th, 11th

, and 11th house has no planet.

Whether Today Or Not?

• To scrutinize, whether the event would fructify today or not, we have to assess the constellation of

Mo.

• Mo is in the star of Ra. Ra is strong in significators and also appearing in RPs. Definitely, the blazewould be in control today.

Determining the Ascendant

• At the time of judgement, Leo was running at about 25 degree as an ascendent in transit. Lord of

Leo is Su and Su is nobody within neither RPs nor significators.

• So 1st elimination would be the Leo. Further, next coming ascendent is Virgo. Me is the lord and

existing as both RP and signficator .

• Now the Virgo is determined ascendent but its still to wait whether its star lord is within

RP/significator or not for final stop.

Determining the Constellation

Our ancient maharishis contributed much to the principle, practice of astrology and now this science, arthas grown in leaps and bounds and further thousands of Pundits all over the world are contributing to its

growth by coming out with new aphorisms, new approach to the method of predictions, expanding its basic

principles in tune with modern trend. Culmination of many decades of rich experience, profound knowledge

in Jyotisha sastra of our great Guruji Sri KSKji, is the churned out nectar, the Krishnamurti Padhdhati. His

concepts have given a new dimension to astrology and have opened up many more logical applications of his

doctrine, offering precise results.

I would like to mention a few words about me; I am not an eminent scholar in astrology, still I am a novice

and my learning curve continues. Here I would like to present my humble attempt in applying KP doctrines inrelation to Vastu. My attempt can be termed as sowing a seed and I leave it to the insight of great scholars

of astrology to nurture it further so that the seed sprouts and blossoms. I was contemplating on a view

that there must be some revelation in an individual’s natal chart about vastu vibration of his dwelling too;

this concept is an extension of the truth that we could predict (1) when a person will have his own dream

house, (2) when a person will sell his house, (3) when a person will mortgage his property, (4) will the person

be able to redeem the property and (5) will a property come for an auction etc.

Before I continue further in scripting this article, I would like to highlight few basic concepts of Vastu

sastra. What is Vastu? – Study of vibration of a dwelling place / earth, application of its principles. It is

based on the pancha bootas i.e. 5 elements of nature – (1) earth (bhoomi), (2) water (jala), (3) wind (vayu),

(4) fire (agni) and (5) ether (akasa) (the fifth and highest element after earth, air, fire and water, and how

to derive their energy, anugaha (blessings) in a balanced level. Vastu Vidya (science of Vastu) is divided into

2 branches – (1) Gruha Vastu related to selection, shape of plots, its dimension, construction of building and

(2) Devalaya Vastu related to selection, shape, purification of plot for construction of temples, iconography,

iconometry, pratishta vidhi (installation systems) etc. Here silpa sastra, tantra sastra, mantra sastra, agama

sastra are also integrated. Vastusutra Upanisad, which belongs to Atharvana Veda, is the first known text

Hence in Vastu shastra, the 9 planets, 5 elements, 12 Zodiac signs, 8 directions and the Brahma Sthana play

a vital role in determining the success /failure, happiness / sorrow, wealth / poverty, health / ailments,

peace of mind / psychic disorders etc., of a person.

4th Bhava indicates – agriculture property, farms, fields, building and real estates, concerns related to land

or earth itself, dwelling place, hereditary house, hereditary property, immovable properties, place of

residence and the house that we live in …..etc. (Ref: KP Navratnamala – Series 1 – Matters Controlled by

Bhavas by Sri Kuppu Ganapathi.

4th House – Graha (house), Vesma (home), Kshiti (land) ……. The fourth house relates to one’s home

residence, domestic environments ….. The fourth also shows one’s landed or immovable property and those

holdings which one takes on lease or rent as also those rented or leased out to other people. All permanent

possessions such as fields, pastures, corn-fields, farms, orchards, mines, real estate, gardens, buildings,

ancient dwellings, monuments and antiquities are influenced by this house. (Ref: Fundamental Principles of

8th House – Adhi (mental pain), Klesha (sorrow), Apavadha (scandal, illrepute), Vigna (obstacles,

impediment). The author of Sanketanidhi calls the eighth house as the house of mystery and misery. It has

to do with misfortune and mental anxiety, sorrow and strife and privations, delay and dejection,

disappointment and defeat, loss and obstruction, blade and ill repute ……, quarrels and fights, wrong actions

Hence we can arrive at a view that sign, star and sublord of 4th cusp, planets signifying 4th house, if theypoint at 8th house, the dwelling or business premises is under vastu defect and if they point 12th house the

nature of defect, how it affects the native can be ascertained. I have observed that vastu’s ill effect or

good effect influences not only the owner who has occupied the house but also the tenant if the premises is

let out on rent. Few may have different opinion that vastu will not affect the tenant since he pays rent and

he is not the owner of the property. But I have observed in my study that the impact is applicable whether

he is an owner or a tenant.

There are several Vastu manuscripts, as sloka, later published into books with commentary and explanatory

notes. I am not elaborating on the vastu principles, here, since it may run to more than few hundreds ofpages. Vastu Sastra is a very wide and deep subject. Hence I am giving only few guidelines given in ancient

scriptures, as follows:

East – main entrance, drawing room

South-East – kitchen

South – bedroom

South-West – head of the family’s bedroom

West – bedroom

North-West – children’s bedroom or guest bedroom, kitchen

North – treasury, pooja room, main entrance, drawing room

North-East – pooja room, main entrance, drawing room

In those days the properties signified by vastu sastra were very limited but later, many eminent scholars

have contributed much to its development based on practical study, application of basic principles and have

added those properties in trend now, expanding its scope; e.g. generator / electricity room, boiler, drawing

power through main distribution board, installing transformer, placing television etc., at south-east, placing

heavy objects, keeping valuables, money, property documents, jewellery at south-west corner, at south-west

room (in Dasa Maha Vidya Tantra, tantra sastra related to the 10 great cosmic powers, the presiding deity

of southwest direction is KAMALATMIKA i.e. SRI MAHALAKSHMI), constructing toilet, placing telephone

/ fax instrument at north-west, constructing drinking water sump below ground at north-east etc. Similar

to placement of objects at residence, the guidelines for placing objects at factory, business premises is

also lengthy.

Agni could be used for kitchen, static objects, boiler, waste goods etc. If business goods are kept at this

The only means to overcome the negative influence of a planet through Vastu is to satisfy the planets

direction as per the vastu requirements. If Jupiter is causing trouble in one’s horoscope (by occupying or

I have applied the influence of 8 cardinal deities, 5 elements, directions signified by 12 zodiac signs (as per

In my experience and vastu study, I have observed that 8th house results offered by planets indicate the

defects (few defects are rectifiable and some defects cannot be rectified) and 12th house results offered

As per navagraha mandala –

Rahu indicates south-west direction; main entrance of one of the properties owned by him is in south-west.This corner should be a closed point but whereas main door is located there. Since door is frequently

opened daily, growth in savings will be very slow or minimal when compared to high earnings. The position of

main door is such that it cannot be relocated to any other positive direction to derive positive results.

Jupiter indicates north direction, signifies wealth. Kitchen is in north which is a very bad vastu defect.

As per navagraha mandala

Mercury indicates north-east direction; toilet is at north-east corner of the plot. This is a serious vastu

defect. Relocating the toilet to other direction is not possible. Though he earned money in crores, he lost

few lakhs in personal wealth.

Kethu indicates north-west direction; one of the properties has northwest portion cut. He faced monetary

loss due to unproductive expenses. Shifting the main door is not possible since providing an opening at other

sides is not at all possible.

Venus indicates east direction; one of the properties has toilet at east. Money lost due to unproductive

expenses.

Jupiter indicates north direction; signifies wealth. Kitchen is in north which is a very bad vastu defect.

12th cusp is in Taurus; Venus is its lord, east is his direction in navagraha mandala, Dikbala of East is Indra

i.e. lord of comforts, luxury, resulted in uncomfortable living.

From the above, the reader can easily understand that KP principles can be applied to study vastu effect

and it is amazing that cuspal sub lord and signification theory reveals the vastu defects and its effects.

This is only an attempt to prove that KP’s doctrines can be applied even in unexplored areas and can guide us

This month I am going to discuss about Pancreas relating to Digestive Sysstem and 4 charts weretaken up (Source: Dr. Bhamidipati Satyanarayana Murthy & Astrodatabank). Sri K RaghavendraKumar M.Sc. B.Ed, was extended his assistance in preparing this article.

Pancreatic cancer: Pancreatic cancer is sometimes called a "silent killer" because early pancreaticcancer often does not cause symptoms, and the later symptoms are usually non-specific and varied.Therefore, pancreatic cancer is often not diagnosed until it is advanced. Common symptoms include:

• Pain in the upper abdomen that typically radiates to the back (seen in carcinoma of thebody or tail of the pancreas)

• Loss of appetite and/or nausea and vomiting.

• Significant weight loss.• Painless jaundice (yellow skin/eyes, dark urine) when a cancer of the head of the pancreas

(about 60% of cases) obstructs the common bile duct as it runs through the pancreas. Thismay also cause pale-colored stool and steatorrhea.

• Trousseau sign, in which blood clots form spontaneously in the portal blood vessels, thedeep veins of the extremities, or the superficial veins anywhere on the body, is sometimesassociated with pancreatic cancer.

• Diabetes mellitus, or elevated blood sugar levels. Many patients with pancreatic cancerdevelop diabetes months to even years before they are diagnosed with pancreatic cancer,suggesting that new onset diabetes in an elderly individual may be an early warning sign ofpancreatic cancer.

• Clinical depression has been reported in association with pancreatic cancer, sometimespresenting before the cancer is diagnosed. However, the mechanism for this association isnot known.

The pancreas is a gland organ in the digestive and endocrine system of vertebrates. It is both an endocrinegland producing several important hormones, including insulin, glucagon, and somatostatin, as well as anexocrine gland, secreting pancreatic juice containing digestive enzymes that pass to the small intestine.These enzymes help in the further breakdown of the carbohydrates, protein, and fat in the chyme. Thepancreas is a dual-function gland, having features of both endocrine and exocrine glands.

Diseases of the pancreas: Because the pancreas is a storage depot for digestive enzymes, injury to thepancreas is potentially very dangerous. A puncture of the pancreas generally requires prompt andexperienced medical intervention.

Pancreatic cancer, particularly cancers of the Exocrine Pancreas remain one of the most deadly cancers, and

the mortality rate is very high.

Examining Rule 1

Do not select Chara (Moveable sign) lagna

The ascendant at the time of launch was common sign. So it is ok.

Asc CSL should signify 1, 5, 9, 11 for long life of event. (If you select dual sign lagna, do not

Here in my country a famous TV Channel named "Sirasa TV" has been conducting a singing competition called

"Siarasa Super Star". There were more than 100000 competitors at the beginning and the semi final washeld on the last evening. For the semi final there were two boys and one girl. This TV channel has conductedtwo sessions of singing star prior to this and this is the third one. In last two sessions winners were onlyboys and there were no girls at all for even the semi finals. As such every body is interesting on this girlwho is selected for the finals, scheduled to be held on 8th May 2010.

On 23-06-2008 a student from Delhi asked me the question about admission in the engineering college of

his choice near Chandigarh, for which he was trying and I asked him to choose a number between 1 to 249.He gave me the number 5. I made the calculation of horary chart on 23-06-08 at 9:54 pm (Chandigarh) and

analysis as given under.

Firstly, as per the Gulbarga Theory, if Ascendant sub lord is the same as the Moon start lord, then the

answer is affirmative. In this case, Ascendant sub lord is Mars and the Moon star lord is also Mars.

Secondly, as per KP in page number 191 of Horary Astrology, Sixth Reader by Shri K.S Krishnamurti, the 4th

house indicates the educational institution and since his desire is to get admission, the 11th house shows

realization of his ambition. Therefore, sub-lord of the 4th cusp is to be deposited in the constellation,

which is the significator of 4 and 11 by occupation and lordship. Here in this case, 4th cuspal sub lord is

Mercury, which is the significator of 4th house by lordship and Mercury is in the star of Moon, which is in

the significator of 11th house by occupation. So the condition is fulfilled for getting admission in the desired

college.

Thirdly, Moon is in 11th house and 11th cuspal sub lord Ketu is in the sign of Moon which is in the 11th house.

Moreover Ketu is in the star of Mercury, which is the significator of 4th house by lordship. So his desire is

to be fulfilled at the earliest as Moon is the fast moving planet.

Fourthly, the calculated horary chart Ascendant sign lord and sub lord is Mars and star lord is Ketu, which

acts as agent for Moon. Mars and Moon are among the Ruling Planets at the time of judgment, i.e. Asc sign

lord = Saturn, Moon star lord = Mars,Moon sign lord = Saturn, Day lord = Moon (Monday).

So I told him that he would l get the admission in the engineering college of his choice.

ACTUAL RESULT – On 24-06-08 I got a message from the student that he had got the admission in the

desired engineering college of his choice near Chandigarh.

As most of the planets which signify 2,7 and 11 are also amongst the Ruling Planets the indication of union is

favourable. Ketu although signifying 6th house strongly but as it is placed in the house of Mercury, it will

give the results of Mercury which is signifying the houses of reunion.

DASHA , BHUKTI ANALYSIS

Running Mahadasha is of Ketu , which signifies 6th and 11th house; 6th house signification gave his wife the

mindset to leave him , 11th house signification stands for reunion. Bhukti is of Mercury till May 2010.

Mercury is also favourable; so I predicted that his wife would return before this dasha period ends.

Running Antara at the time of judgment was of Rahu which signifies 5th house but not favourable for

reunion. Next Antara is of Jupiter which is also

not amongst the signifcators. ,The following Antara is of Saturn which being a lone significator and also

being in the Ruling Planets is strong for reunion. It started from 16th

March 2010. So I predicted thatduring the period when Sun would also transit in Saturn star i.e 18 th March to 2nd April 2010, there surely

would be reunion.

The client came to me on 28th March and congratulated me, telling that his wife returned on 22nd March

Here is a chart of daughter of my friend (attached) for analysis on the above subject and also for her

prospects of marriage and married life.

Studies

Her 4th cuspal sub lord (CSL) Mercury, karaka for education, is in the star of Rahu in 11 th house and in the

sub of Venus being CSL of 11th without having any planet in its star. 9th CSL Jupiter is lord of 9th house and

aspecting 9th his own house, and in the star and sub of Kethu in 5th house of intelligence with sign lord

Mercury, karaka for education. Jupiter is also lord of 12th in 12th house. Such favorable signification of 4th

and 9th CSLs gave her good position at school level and as well as higher education in India & abroad. She

left for US on 24-7-2006. It was Rahu Dasa Mars Bhukthi and Jupiter Antharam & Venus Sookshmam. Rahu

as agent of Jupiter, 9th & 12th lord in 12th , Bhukthi lord Mars in the sub of Jupiter, signifying overseas

travel which agrees with the event.

her stay expenses there. Now she is continuing in US and searching for suitable job. What is her

prospects in this direction? When she will get? This is the urgen matter to be probed, as her continuing

there, getting Green Card and living peacefully with decent income are all dependent on her getting job

first.

Current running Antara is Mercury up to 24 June 2010. Mercury, 6th lord in 6th house, in the star of Rahu in

11th house, and in the sub of Venus, lord of 2th in 6th house, also being 6 & 11th CSL with no planet in its star,is a strong Antara to get a real starting job as repeatedly signify by 6 th of service, 2 & 11th houses of

getting money, and 11th of fullfilment of desire. As Venus is conjoined to Mercury. And Mercury is in the

Reg. matching of couple's charts for marriage, I would like to know whether malefic influences such asMars, Saturn, Rahu, Kethu and Sun on the charts including Bhadhaka and Maraka positons are taken intoaccount in the KPDP Rules framed by Shri K.P.Kuppu Ganapathi of New Delhi? Whether the percentagepermitted for matching including the Rule 10, for which it is emphasized, should be above 50%? Whetherthe Rule 10 of KPDP Rules which is emphasized to be more than 50% also includes all malefic influenceswhich is called Doshas & Samyam in traditional astrology. In KPDP how it is nullified of one Dosha withother?

ANSWER-1

1. As explained in the KP & Astrology Year Book 1997 pp 32-44,(KPEzine March 2007 page 8-9) the KPDPmatching does not taken into account such mentioned malefic influences because in KP no planet is fullymalefic or benefic.2. The overall including the Rule 10 should be above 50% in order the couple can lead a happy , harmoniousand prosperous wedded life.3. The Rule 10 of the KPDP matching also does not include any kind of so-called Dosha in traditionalastrology.4. Longevity, health, finance, harmony, children, status of married life etc. are also to be analyzed as perKP rules.

QUESTION- 2

Clarification on the evilness of 8th house is sought for as follows. As per K.P. Rules on p. 13 "How to JudgeLongevity", lord of 6 or 8 or 12 are malefics. If lords of 1, 5, 9 and 10 also rule 6 or 8 or 12, then theplanet may be taken as mostly benefic. In respect of Aries Lagna, Mars is lord of 1 and 8 and placed in 8thScorpio his own house. In such case, whether the planets in the stars of Mars or in the sub of Mars, can

they inflict harm to the Aries native to curtail his longevity. Kindly clarify.

ANSWER- 2

As Mars l/o 1,8 is in 8th, it would be bad for longevity because 6,8,12 houses are generally malefic for

longevity . Moreover planets in the constellation of evil planets in the 8th house, except Saturn, occupantsof the 8th house, planets in the constellation or in the sub of lord of 8, lord of the 8th cusp and planets inany manner connected with them threaten (a) danger to one's life, (b) the cause of death and (c) the placeof death. (KP Reader III, Practical Part p 12/New Edition p 165) If Mars l/o 1,8 is in any of 1,5,9 (notBadhaka) and 10, it would be good for longevity.

KP: In Horary chart, if the 5th cusp sub lord is a significator of 2 or 5 or 11, the pregnancy is assured.

KB: In Horary chart, if the Ascendant sub lord is linked with 2 or 5 or 11, the pregnancy is assured.

KP: Various bhavas would be studied for a single question.KB: A single bhava for single question, of course with the study of its inter-links to other cusps.

KP: No mention about the potential of a horoscope.

KB: Advocacy of determining the potential first, by using Lagna.

Dear Kanakji,I would like to reply regarding the font issue / file size / download time, highlighted by Mr Vadivel, asfollows:1] All website are created using HTML / ASP / PHP / Dreamweaver but KP-Ezine is in PDF format;

definitely there will be file size difference since the file format is totally different and also due to (1)inclusion of charts, (2) inclusion of picture images (similar to those used in medical astrology article), (3)inclusion of advertisements, (4) template design of each page / cover page where the intensity of image ismore and (5) other features offered in the eBook (we have given hyperlink in contents page which will loadthe selected page).2] In a website all elements / components are hyper-linked and load separately when the object is clicked /

selected whereas in an eBook all pages (full of objects / components) are loaded as an whole object.3] Most of the websites use Verdana / Helvetica / Tahoma fonts but whereas an eMagazine layout isdifferent from a website layout design. eBook is nothing but a replacement to a printed book in digitalformat. Naturally it will have all colour / image depth, aesthetics. A web-page can be designed to load instages but an eBook cannot be designed to load in stages.4] I compose each issue by assembling objects to the layout with a lesser file size; hence we are able tomaintain a file size of approx. 1.5 MB each issue. (ranging from 44 to 50 pages).5] I presume that this gentleman would have downloaded KP-Navratnamala part 2 which is of a very largefile size approx. 7.5 MB since proper technology was not applied at the time of creating / composing theeBook whereas KP-Navratnama part 1 was created with an amazingly lesser file of 750 KB. I was not

involved in creating KP-Navratnamala Part 2; when I downloaded the file sent by you, I realised that it will

create file size / lengthy download time issues.6] My humble opinion in my experience is that embedding multi fonts will not increase the file size. I wouldlike to differ in this aspect from the opinion given by Mr Vadivel. Comparing a web page to an eBook in PDFformat is not correct since their properties differ.7] Download time will very from PC to PC based on the broadband speed / connectivity used by the reader.8] Increase in number of pages also will increase the file size but to the maximum possible I have been ableto retain the file size range between 1.50 to 1.75 MB, per issue. I will endeavour my best.I suggest you to seek the views of Sri Rangarajan ji also in this regard since he is a technical expert.Warm RegardsK S Narayanan--------------------------Tinwin sir has full grasped on KPs funda and it is very useful for KP student like us to go thru the articlesand grasp his articles which is written inmost lucid manners.
