• Okay, so essentially through this story I'm trying to tell something that hasn't been attempted by

most myths. They usually just take the easy way out and say “In the beginning there was a void,

darkness, chaos” or whatever synonym they choose. I'd instead like to dwell and answer whateisted be!ore this darkness, or more appropriately what li!e was like within this darkness.

• The main character's name is "imi, it's an ancient terminology that roughly translates into

reality. I kind o! want the story to be a bildungsroman #a coming o! age story$ in a way. %s in,he's searching !or meaning to his li!e and throughout his interactions and journeys in &ingulara

#the setting$ he eventually comes across it. Incidentally, his “climatic” understand o! li!e will

take place around the time he creates realitythe universe. %lternatively, could be described ashim emanating, causing the big bang, whatever.

&o am I to understand that "imi will eventually be the '!irst cause' o! the big bang(

In a way, I want "imi to be buisnesslike, i! I can pull that o!!. Or maybe witty an sarcastic... I'mnot sure what should !it the !ounder o! reality. )ut I just imagine that later on down the line, Icould go back and write more stories o! him and his journeys. %nd instead o! being that lost kid

on &ingulara, he's now the owner o! *eality Inc, which is a business that, I don't know, builds

universes or something. +ot sure i! I should go that route. ust a concept o! how heaven works I

read in a book -ated once, and I liked the idea o! a od being a /"O type, running a businessthat has 0uotas !or sins and virtues. )ut that may ruin the whole metaphysical aspect o! this.

"hh, doesn't matter. I'm a witty, comedic kind o! guy, anyway.

I would imagine that "imi would start o!! like a child, learning to navigate the world and

gaining understanding with each new interaction with other things, but I would pre!er "imi to develop

a personality similar to an enlightened )uddha or esus. 1hen I think o! a business2like personality, Ithink cold, rational, willing to do what it takes to get ahead, when that's not how it should work #in my

opinion$, I imagine that the creator o! reality would have a kind o! divine wisdom beyond that o! a cold

businessman, similar to aara !rom +aruto.

• Oh, yeah, I want the story to have a slightly, lighthearted tone to it. 1ell, not really lighthearted,

but I don't it to take itsel! too seriously and still be able to be humorous. 3ind o! like... I don't

know, ustice 4eague during serious episodes( "ven when the world was at danger, they stillmanaged to crack a joke or two.

I can see that, however, with the personality type that I suggested, you'd probably have to throw

in a character !or comic relie!.

• I want the setting to be rather surreal in a way. %s in, speci!ically distinct !rom our plane ordimension as it may be. 5hysics don't apply here. 5eople can just take o!! and start walking

“upside down” which is a misnomer, as directions don't apply here either. /haracters can vary

etremely in what they look like, their si6e, and even what species they're described as. )utessentially all &ingularans are composed o! coagulated dark matter.

I suppose that makes sense. I like the idea, and i'm not opposed to it. 7owever, I would like to

see some continuity to it, so while people can vary their appearance, it would be a wise idea to make

them either keep their appearance, or have some kind o! totem that allows you to distinguish characters

• The citi6ens, or the &ingularans, will have nomadic based li!estyle. %s in they're constantly in

motion and traveling around searching !or anti2matter, dark energy, or something to eat and gain

subsistence !rom. 8arious tribes will partake in di!!erent methods. &ome will !ind things around

&ingulara and trade, others will hunt, and some will raid other tribes and things !or their goods.

1hat's the purpose o! citi6ens( 9o they each start their own universe( Or does "imi only have

that power. 5lease elaborate.

• I want the story to be a good mi o! metaphysical, yet scienti!ically logical in a way. :iing the

minimal amount o! what we know about the physical beginnings o! the universe with things wecan only imagine. Thereby giving it a realistic !eeling that someone could've created our

universe in the eact way it eists, i! !or a distinctively di!!erent reason than present in religious

and theological contemplations o! cosmology.

I can see that, and it's possible with a little creativity

• 1ith that being said, whereas "imi, the main character, will in a sense represent stringsbranes

the basic !undamental particles o! the universe, he will also in a way represent thought or

eistence, or !orce o! will or something. "ssentially, a word that could be the basic cause !or

why people and things eist and continue to choose eisting and striving to understand andlearn more without ever being pushed to do so.

&o this is where it gets slightly con!using. "imi will be made up o! the same !undamental particles that make up our current representation o! the universe( Or will "imi eist be!ore these

!undamental particles, being made up o! a di!!erent kind o! matter and then the !undamental particles

come into being when "imi creates the universe(

• The citi6ens themselves will be somewhat thematic representations o! symbolism and meanings

!rom dreams. &omething like an ant man being etremely diligent or something. ;et, at the

same time, I want to imply that they are !ree, as in non2merged, 0uarks. 1hich, are theori6ed, asonly being possible be!ore the incredible energi6ed !usion caused by the )ig )ang. I'm debating

naming the tribes a!ter wordplay on the names o! 0uarks #Top, )ottom, &trange, etc.$

5lease elaborate on this, I think you talked about it on the phone, but I want to hear more about

it.

I want a !ew recurring characters to pop up throughout the book and interact with "imi, or evenshare their own side tales. 1hether they be antagonistic or help!ul. They'll have symbolic

re!erences o! metaphysical concepts too, possibly. :aybe stu!! like destruction, creation, space, peace, etc. /oncepts that are bigger than humanity and even, in a sense, outweighing the

constraints o! the material world.

That seems interesting, you can try that out and see how it works. I'm not opposed to it. ust

make sure that the abstract concepts don't re!er to anything in the material world.. earlier you said

something about %nt2man, which couldn't eist because ant's don't eist.

• I also need a villain, not necessarily a main, over the top one, but someone to oppose "imi and

his goals. 1hich, incidentally, I still have no large grasp on, lol. I'm trying to work on a villainnow, but it's hard. I'm thinking since it is, in a sense, a dream world, I could make the villain

almost a legit shadow o! "imi. %s in, the dark inner persona o! ourselves will all !ear

subconsciously.

1hat are "imi's goals( ;ou'd have to elaborate more on a villain once you read my previous

stu!! about "imi's personality and possible goals.

• %bout the setting... I've been describing it as a dark, purplish2black kind o! landscape. +ot sure

how else to do it, but I want it to seem surreal. I want the locales to be kind o! broken up by

areas where certain types o! dreams would seem to stem !rom. 4ike, one place would be a darkclassroom2ish setting where your clothes vanish as soon as you step in. Or, a place where

childish objects constantly pop up. Or a locale where as you're walking large chasms and steep

valleys open up beneath and above you, seemingly out o! nowhere. I'm sure you get the idea.

&o that's interesting, however, what you have to remember is that this world is be!ore thematerial, the problem with the dream world eisting be!ore the universe is that material objects eist

a!ter the creation o! the universe, so how is it that you can have a classroom setting be!ore all thematter that makes up the idea o! the classroom hasn't been created yet(

• I! I can, I'd also like to try to symboli6e that the beings in and o! themselves are seeing whatthey see !or a reason. 3ind o! like how people say dreams have di!!erent meanings, and even i!

two people dream about the same it's di!!erent based on how they interpret it. &o, I want to give

weight to the things "imi sees and challenges as he !aces, and show metaphorically, but not tooobviously, how they relate to him as a person and his perception o! his world.

that would be a bit too con!using, because nothing would be real essentially, certain beingwouldn't be able to agree on common things because they would view them di!!erently, and as such,

interact with them di!!erently.. what you could do is only limit that to certain objects, but you'd have to

eplain that somewhere

• O! course, being me, I'm going to use special powers !or the characters. I've decided they'll

probably be manipulating dark energy, or something. I won't eplicit state how they're doing it.

I'll just allude to them coercing the dark, mysterious energy around them to do their bidding.)ecause, essentially, all they're really doing is lucid dreaming. They're manipulating the dream

world around them and eposing their own desires upon it.

Interesting, I'll admit that reading into this more, i'm a bit con!used, but i'm still reading.

• I've been checking out superhero wiki !or %ll :ighty powers, because I can't use elemental based attacks really, as elements don't eist yet. %nd I can't do basic super2strength, etc, because

it wouldn't make much di!!erence in their world. &o, I want mind2bending incredible powers,

that I can still play around with and !igure out a way to make them seem vulnerable.

9o they really eist( 9o they have biological !unctions that can cease( -igure that out, and

!igure out a way to kill them, that would make it so that their powers couldn't easily allow them to be

killed.

• The beings themselves will also be able to use this dark energy to re!orm their bodies and stu!!i! they get injured, lose a limb, or whatever. %s they're !ormed solely !rom the dark matter

around them, anyway. There will be a limit though. %nd it will kind o! be limited to only those

with strong “wills” or “urges” to continue eisting anyway. )ut, the more you're broken and

lose energy, the less coherent you are and can hold all the dark matter composing you together.

• %s !or where they come !rom... I'm contemplating it. )ut, I !eel like they'll just pop into

eistence. %s i!, they're ideas. )ecause, they basically are. They're the unconscious ideas that we

have without even trying to have. They want to eist, or even just choose to eist, and there!ore!use dark matter around them into a shape or !orm that they !eel natural in and just begin to

eist. Tribes will join together as people go around and discover others popping into eistence,

or walking around alone.

I like that Idea a bit. /ontinue with it.

• %lmost all o! them are searching !or meaning to their eisting. I'm trying to give a basic

0uestion to their whole way o! li!e, thereby etending it to the whole meaning o! li!e or

something. I was thinking the word “1hy(” could work, as everything can kind o! burn down

to that. )ut something like, “"ist” or “&eek” could work better.

The meaning !or their eistence could be part o! the abstract 0uality that they represent.

• %nyway, I'm imaging that a good thing to include would be those who 0uit seeking. I want

some e!!ect to come o! it, but I can't !or the li!e o! me imagine what. I just know "imi would

hate those kind o! people. I'm thinking perhaps, they become beings o! void and elimination,which in our world would be represented by the concept o! entropy. I! that does become thecase than the main villain I was seeking could be the largest !orm o! "ntropy itsel!. That is, the

destruction o! the entire <niverse.

I'm a little con!used by this, i! you 0uit seeking, don't you stop regenerating and there!ore die(

That's what you said earlier about how they could regenerate themselves right(

• This is the beginning o! a series o! books I'm planning, and I do have and ending book in mind

as well. %nd I kind o! want it to go in an in!inite circle o! sorts. In the last book, I want a kid

who can travel dimensions, or galaies, or something, to be one o! the last remaining beings

alive as he battles "ntropy #or whoever the villain !rom the =st book is, as he'll grow strongerand still hold his grudge against "imi, thereby seeking to destroy reality.$ *egardless, the main

character !rom the last book will reali6e he's losing and decide to include the phrase “1hy” #orwhatever I decide$ into an unbreakable orb, or something. Once the universe is consumed it will

return to the absolute nothing, or dark matter, that is &ingulara. There, the orb, a!ter eons o!

holding on, will !inally break or shatter. This will cause the phrase to enter &ingulara and make beings start to eist, seeking to understand or whatever why they eist in the !irst place, never

knowing about the phrase. Thus, it all goes in an in!inite circle. 7ori6ontal "ights, i! you will.

• That's about all I can think o! at the moment really. &orry about the length.

• Oh, wait. I want a side2character in the story that's a simian o! some type, named a!ter %ristotle,or one o! the pre2socratic reek philosophers. It's a long story, but I want these talking,

humanoid simians to show up later as the “uardians o! *eality” in a sense. ;eah, I'm biting o!!

more than I can chew, and thinking way to large, but ehh... Instead o! shooting to the stars, why

not shoot at the process that created them, right(
