PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
SJ Consulting Group, Pittsburgh, USA – Research Analyst Intern April 2014 – Nov 2014
Analyzed shipper data to make recommendations that enable shippers to lower cost and reduce transit
times by detailed pricing studies, operational benchmarking, and financial analysis.
Applied statistical methods to determine trends in retail, manufacturing, and international trade data to
project revenue and volume growth for transportation industry segments and for individual carriers.
L&T Limited, Navi-Mumbai, India – Drives Designer and Testing Intern Dec 2009 – May 2010
Designed and implemented the AC and DC Drives section of a control system for an automatic petrol filling
station. Also designed PLC based automated system with a user friendly Human Computer Interaction (HCI)
using SCADA screens.
Performed extensive testing of the entire system at various extreme conditions of voltage, current surges
and spikes.
Integrated Automation Systems (I) Pvt. Ltd., India – Design and Development Intern June 2008 – Nov 2008
Designed and implemented a Variable Area Orifice Valve control system using controllers and drives for a
thermal power generation unit. Got hands-on experience of using CAN bus, Profibus and DeviceNet based
controllers.
Implemented a 2-axis for three probe carriage assembly for automatic non-destructive testing of heavy
engineering equipment.
Hands on experience of using CAN bus, Profibus and DeviceNet based controllers.
PROJECTS
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Project Spring 2015
Conducted a benchmarking activity on the scanning procedure for the USA’s largest 3D scanning technology
using the DMAIC Six Sigma approach and estimated cost savings of around $445K.
Simulation and Modeling Project – University of Pittsburgh Spring 2014 Created a working simulation model of a supply chain of Gas Company and demonstrated ways of improving
the efficiency by 45%.

Data Mining Project – University of Pittsburgh Fall 2013 Explored the relationship between GDP and national data indicators by building various statistical models
on SPSS and IBM Modeler using Regression, Neural Networks and Trees Classification techniques.
Decision Models Project – University of Pittsburgh Fall 2013 • Designed a decision tree framework which elucidates every option available to the cancer patient to
undergo a Vermillion OVA 1 screening test and calculates the expected gains and losses for every option.
Manufacturing Systems Project – University of Pittsburgh Fall 2013 • Designed a total hip replacement prosthesis by using materials of nanostructured grains.
Intelligent, Logical and Smart Automated System – University of Mumbai June 2012 – May 2013 • Designed and implemented a smart power meter that helps save energy and money. • Collects data directly from the utility and creates energy saving tips and recommendations. • The system tells how much electricity is being used, how much it is going to cost and gives customized
conservation and efficiency tips.
