Life Skills and Values for the Pupils of the European Union Experts: Nutini Ines - Benedetti ilaria - Psychologists
Children’s social and emotional wellbeing is important in its own right but also because it affects their physical health and can deter-mine how well they do at school. Good social, emotional and psychological health helps protect them against emotional and behavioral problems. One of the most important setting for the promotion of pupils’ well-being is the school, which role is to promote the moral, social and personal development of students; school is also asked to provide a safe and supportive environment for building life skills and resilience. Life skills can be defined as a set of basic skills that enable a person to manage the challenges of daily life: they include critical thinking, problem solving, the ability to communicate and collaborate.
