Adult Bible Study Currently the Adult Sunday School (9:30 to 11am) and the Wednesday Adult Bible Study Group (10 to 11 am) is watching a DVD about the Gospel of Luke which has a word-by-word narration from the NIV Bible with commentaries on Luke from the Moody Bible Institute. This study will end Wednesday, July 3, and Sunday, July 7. The next study for both groups will be the book Half Truths: God Helps Those Who Help Themselves and Other Things the Bible Doesn’t Say by Adam Hamilton. (Mr. Hamilton did an introduction to the book The Will of God by Rev. Leslie D. Weatherhead, which the Adult Bible Study groups studied in 2017.)

Youth Crew Sunday School We're still going strong in the Youth Room on Sunday mornings throughout the summer. Come and join us, rising 6th graders through high schoolers. We'll meet from 10:30 a.m. - 11:15 a.m. every Sunday in June, as well as July 21 and August 4. We look forward to staying connected with the whole crew this summer!

VBS is coming soon! Mark your calendars for Vacation Bible School 2019! Join us for five mornings of fun beginning on Monday, July 29, and wrapping up on Friday, August 2. This year we’ll take a whitewater rafting adventure through Splash Canyon, learning that even though we encounter thrills and spills, God is always with us on life’s wild ride. Registration is free, and class will run from 9:00 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. each day. Sign-up forms are available in the narthex, or you can register online—look for the link on the CtK homepage. YO! 6th thru 12th Graders Bring a Friend!

Milestone Recognition Today, children who completed one or more Milestones will receive their certificates during the 9:30 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. services. Children who completed First Communion training will receive the sacrament for the first time, and children who completed the Bible Milestone class will get to take their Bibles home. We will have a cake reception to celebrate after each service. A total of 48 certificates will be awarded!

Today we welcome Elliot Conrad who moved here from Decatur, Indiana. He enjoys basketball, sand volleyball, playing guitar, trying new craft beers, and playing with his dog, Duke. He likes that CtK has a strong community feel.

HABITAT FOR HUMANITY MATTHEW 25 FUNDRAISERS Sign the wooden stud going into this year’s Matthew 25 house. Simply place a donation in the money box and sign the stud. In need of some great Pam-pered Chef items? You can order items by completing an order form on paper or online in the narthex on these two Sundays. All proceeds will go to the church’s donation to the Habitat for Humanity Matthew 25 Build.

HOOK & NEEDLE YARN MINISTRY Make prayer shawls and hats for Madison School, Memorial Hospital “Neonatal Unit,” and Women’s Care Center or bring your own personal work. Don’t know how to knit or crochet, but want to learn? They will even give tutorials. If you can’t make it on Fridays but would like to contribute to the effort, please feel free to bring completed prayer shawls and hats to the church.

CARD MINISTRY Join the Card Ministry for fellowship as they create beautiful handcrafted and stitched cards made for those in our congregation who are hurting. If you would like to make cards, but this time doesn’t work, please call the office at 574-272-4306.

CENTER FOR THE HOMELESS – SERVING OUR COMMUNITY Sign up on the narthex kiosk to serve dinner, cafeteria style, to residents at the Center for the Homeless. CtK members visit the Center on the fourth Saturday and Sunday of each month. This is a great service opportunity for a family to do together. Simply go to the Center for the Homeless at 813 South Michigan Street and check in at the front desk.

Tuesday, June 25 6:00 p.m. – 7:15 p.m.

DISMAS HOUSE – PREPARING DINNER & FELLOWSHIP This mission involves making dinner for residents at Dismas House who are working towards independent living after jail or prison. CtK members sign up to prepare and take a meal and eat in fellowship with the residents. The meal is self-serve/buffet style & the residents do the clean up.
