JULY 2016 !4 Independence Day (No VA Bingo) !!12 5:30 PM 3rd Degree Executive Board Meeting 12 6:30 PM 3rd Degree Installation of new Officers, Dress code for this event will be Blue Knight’s Shirts and Dark Slacks. A delicious repast will be served by the Ladies Auxiliary afterwards. 18 12:00 Noon 4th Degree Executive Board Meeting 1:00 PM 4th Degree Business Meeting !+++ There may be some changes in August regarding meeting rooms due to Church construction Your Grand Knight and Faithful Navigator will keep you advised. +++ !!August 2016 !!1 5:15 PM 4th Degree Bingo at Haley’s VA Hospital, Meet in Conesa parking lot to car pool. A very worthwhile event to honor our Veterans. 7 1:00 PM 4th Degree Installation of Officers. The ceremony will take place at the Church after the 12:00 Noon Mass. Dress code is Tux with Baldric. Dinner will be served at the Sandpiper Restaurant in Sun City Center on Pebble Beach Road South. Cost per meal is $25.00 with a cash bar. Dinner will start at 2:30 PM. A tasty menu has been prepared consisting of your choice of the following entrees, Salmon, Chicken Piccata, or Prime Rib, accompanied with a salad, vegetable, dinner roll, and of course Dessert. His involvement with the Knights is so appreciated and we all look forward to another year of working with him. !A big thanks to the Ladies Auxiliary for all that they do to make us Knights look good and keep thinks running smoothly. I look forward to working with these dedicated Lady Knights. !We are blessed to have Knights that will be working up through the Chairs to make filling the Grand Knights position easier next year. With Larry Seick as your new Deputy Grand Knight, makes sure the Council continues to be in good hands the next Fraternal Year. !Our continued success is founded on each of your involvement. Yes, I am a “newbie” here at Prince of Peace but have been a Knight since 1968. I know some of you but not all. I plan changing that as we work together to continue Father Michael McGivney’s vision for Catholic Men in serving our fellow man. !Your Past Grand Knight Mike McCluskey is to be thanked for his strong leadership. Mike and his officers left the Council in great financial shape, many great events and with so many dedicated Knights to continue what has been accomplished. The foundation he has built will give us the guidance for continued success. !Congratulations to all of the New Officers and for stepping up to keep this Council vibrant. Please consider saying yes, to any of them when they ask you to help fill committees. !!!!

!!!!Sir Knights,

!I'm proud to be your new Faithful Navigator for the upcoming Knights 2016/2017 year.   I would like to keep in place what  John  Armstrong and the  Assembly have been doing.   !

The Pancake Breakfast, the Military Ball and most of all going to Haley VA to host the Bingo program for our Veterans. We go to Haley’s on the first Monday of each month.   We are having our installation of new  Officers on  Sunday the 7th of August after the 12:00 mass at the church. The installation will start at 1:00 PM and should be over no later than 2:00 PM.   Arrangements have been made for dinner at the Sandpiper Restaurant on Pebble Beach road. Dinner will start at 2:30 PM.  The menu is SALMON, CHICKEN PICCATA OR Prime RIB and Bread, Salad, and vegetable. The cost is $25 per person there will be a cash bar for drinks. The Dress is TUX with your Baldric smart casual for the Woman.     Please try and attend our installation of officers and let our new officers know they have your support. To make reservations for the Sandpiper please call Duncan Farney at 813-633-4368, or Mike Lane at 207-797-7776.   As you may or may not know our business meetings times have changed to 1:00 PM on the 3rd Monday of each month at Conesa Center, due to the up-coming construction at the church our meetings may have to be adjusted if so I will advise you. !As we work together I am sure we can make this a banner year. !God Bless !Tom Bullaro, Faithful Navigator !
