Greetings and a very warm welcome to all global textile and garment professionals to ITMA2011.

Hailed as the Olympics of textile and garment technology exhibitions, ITMA has a long historythat spans 60 years. Each presentation is a mega showcase of cutting-edge solutions to textileand garment makers from around the world.

MP International is very honoured to be appointed as organiser of this event, and to have theopportunity to work with CEMATEX and many renowned association partners to stage thisinnovative platform that attracts the worlds major buyers and sellers of textile and garmentmachinery.

We are committed to organise an exhibition that will offer a meaningful experience to theindustry. Many new initiatives to commemorate ITMAs 60th anniversary have been introducedto help the event stay relevant in this increasingly competitive global stage.

Held every four years, it offers an appropriate cycle that covers the interests of exhibitors andbenefits their customers, while promoting a global dialogue and exchange of best businesspractices in textile and garment technology.

The next ITMA exhibition will be held in Milan in 2015, and we have started preparations for it.We will look forward to your participation, and to your feedback on how we can make it more

current and engaging. Until then, we bid you success and good health.

Thank you and see you again at the next ITMA.

ITMA has been recognised as a global marketplace and networking platform with world-class cutting-edge solutions for the industry. As this year marks the 60th anniversary of ITMA,we are making great efforts to make it even more relevant to the changing demands of ourparticipants.

For its debut in Spain, ITMA welcomes over 1,300 exhibitors from more than 40 countries, andexpects tens of thousands of trade visitors from around the world. The exhibition features a newfibre and yarn chapter and an increased focus on garment making technology, as well as newknowledge-sharing platforms, such as the World Textile Summit a nd other exciting conferences.

These enhanced offerings are part of our programme to engage the industry and to serve theneeds of global business professionals. There will be many opportunities for participants to learnabout the latest trends, discover new innovations, network with key manufacturers, and benefitfrom educational and information-sharing activities during the eight-day event.

I should like to thank MP International, our partners, supporting associations, exhibitors andvisitors, and all who have worked so hard to ensure that ITMA 2011 is a success. In the spirit ofinnovation, we would like to wish everyone a fruitful and rewarding participation.
