The Speakers
Kristian Glaesel Kristian Glaesel works as Managing Director of Glaesel HSEQ Management. He is the co-author and the Danish translator of OHSAS 1800 and convenor for the
development of the new ISO 45001 standard, and thus one of Denmark’s most experienced auditors and interpreters of the handling and implementation of health and safety management systems.
Charles Corrie Charles has formal education in Mechanical Engineering and Business Administration. He has an overview role within BSI’s Standards Development Department
concerning the development of management system standards. Charles joined the British Standards Institution (BSI) in 1993. He has served as Secretary to ISO/TC 176/SC 2 (responsible for the ISO 9000 standards) since that time, as well as to other BSI Technical Committees. He is also the Secretary of ISO/TC 251 which has produced the ISO 55000. He has also been the Secretary to the OHSAS Project Group since its initiation in 1998. He was also appointed as Secretary to the ISO “Project” committee, for the development of the new standard ISO 45001, which is set to replace OHSAS 18001 in 2017.
Dr Dennis ElseDr Dennis Else is Executive Director - Sustainability, Safety and Health with Multiplex. He is also a Director of Australia’s Co-operative Research Centre for
Low Carbon Living which has a mandate to release the low-cost carbon reductions from Australia’s built environment.
David SmithDavid Smith has many years’ experience developing, writing and implementing management systems and in particular, assessing HSE systems. He chairs
a variety of BSI Committees including the committees responsible for management systems. Additionally, he represents the UK on ISO and CEN international committees on HSE management systems standards. He is Chair of ISO PC 283 (ISO 45001 committee on OHS). He has experience of risk, quality, OHS and environmental management in practice in large corporate organizations, government agencies as well as SME’s. He undertakes consultancy, training and assessment work all over the world. David possesses a Bachelor of Science, London University, London, Master of Science, London University, London, Approved Lead Audit Trainer for IMS, OHS. Author of 15 books including the subjects of Environmental, OHS and Risk Management.
Stan Rogers Stan Rogers Is a principle consultant with AVTEQ Consulting Services Australia. He has been an active participant in the development of the ISO 14000 series
environmental management systems as an Australian representative to ISO Technical Committee 207 since its formation in 1993 and is now participating in the development of ISO 45001 on Occupational Safety and Health. He sits on four Australian National Standards Committee and has represented Australia in the development of some of the ISO GHG standards as well as at more recent meetings on sustainable communities. He was presented with the Australian Standard Award in 1995 for his work in contributing to the development of standards.
Michael SelingerMichael Selinger is a partner with Holding Redlich and practices in all areas of workplace relations with a special focus on work health and safety. Michael has
been involved in numerous investigations and prosecutions relating to workplace incidents, including crane and load collapses. Michael is Editor of the Health & Safety Handbook published by Portner Press which also publishes his weekly safety bulletin.
