    Note books & Stationeries to Rural School Students

    Last year We distributed notebooks & stationaries required for

    entire year to 1,700 students from 16 rural Govt Schools. We

    collaborated with IISC Notebookdrive for the NBD 2009. This year we

    received requests 3 times more than that of last year.

    NBD 2010 (Note Book Drive) is targeted to

    reach 10,000 students from over 50 schools in Govt Schools at rural

    villages of Chikkaballapur, Tumkur, Chitradurga and Kolar districts in

    Karnataka. cost of these education materials would be Rs.8 Lakhs.

    Notebooks will be distributed during mid-June when new academic yearstarts. NBD 2010 will be a bigger event compared to the previous years.

    This year along with IISc NBD, Samsung, Aviratha, Rotary Club are also

    collaboration for this event.

    Feedback & Report on India Sudar Activities from Govt School, Chikkakorgodu,Gowribidanur[IS Karnataka]

    Date: 10th April 2010, Saturday Members: Santhosh & K RavikumarSanthosh and Ravikumar made a visit Govt School, Chikkakorgodu,

    Gowribidanur, Karnataka and met the Headmaster Mr. Seshadri.C J who is very sincere and self motivated. He is

    the one connected India Sudar with many schools in his area and helping us to reach rural village near Gowribidanur

    taluk. He has taken photos on usage of stationaries, sports items and other study materials provided by India Sudar

    and sent us detailed report.

    Visit to Govt Higher Secondary School, Tharangampatti, Kadavoor, Karur [IS Tamil Nadu]

    Date: 19th April 2010 Monday Member: Mr.R.Gunasekaran

    Mr.R.Gunasekaran visited Govt Higher Secondary School, Tharangampatti near kadavoor.This school located in very remote area (from karur. 50 km). All students are from nearby village and they are

    ignorant about oppurtunities available. Total students Strength is 1300; Teachers 36,

    He gave 60 Carrier Guidance Booklets (Tamil Prepared by IndiaSudar) Assitant Head Master to be distributed to

    STD Students. we will visit this school again on June for sapling plantation , Career Guidance and they are

    looking for more support.

    Visit to Schools in Madhugiri Taluk, Tumkur District, [IS Karnataka]Date: 17th April 2010, Saturday Members: Vinod S Murgod & Udhaya Kumar.V

    Santhosh and Uday had Visited 3 Govt Schools in Madhugiri Taluk, Tumkur District,

    Karnataka. We got a invite from Mr. Jayram, LIC Development Officer, Madhugiri. They had a discussion about govt.

    school in and around Madhugiri and Mr. Jayram asked us if IS can do some thing to these schools.

    1) Govt Primary School ,Kuppacharirappa

    This village in in between the mountains and there is no source of income to the families residing in this village.

    50+ kids altogether in school. Post primary if the kid is interested to continue studies then they will go to Madhugiri

    or one more village near by, both are 6+ KM and no means of transport. Kids have to walk up and down in the hill.

    Headmaster (Vijaykumar) requested for Stationeries. This is well deserved school and IS is providing stationeries in

    coming academic session.

    2) Higher Primary School, Siddapura

    This village is considerably big village. This school is well equipped in teachers and has got learning CDs and 2000

    reading library books. Headmaster requested us to provide water purifier for schools (water in this locality has high

    Floride content all villagers are suffering for flurosis) Library Rack (because of lack of this books are not effectively

    distributed) and computers Systems (only one non-working PC is there). WE will provide Library rack and

    Sportskits. Since lot of students are interested in Higher studies we can run IS Scholarships Programs.

    3) Primary School, Madaganahatti

    This village are dependent on the Sheep rearing and Farming. This primary school strength is 64.is only one primary

    school and strength is 64 for this year. Here Nali Kali program implemented and executed very well for 1st and

    2nd standard kids.. Head master Mr.Rajashekhar B demonstrated all the Nali Kali programs and took through the

    room where they conduct the Nali Kali program. For higher school kids will have to go to Madhugiri.

    Visit to Panchayath Union Primary School, Ayyampalayam,Jagathapi,Karur [IS Tamil Nadu]

    Date: 19th April 2010 Monday Member: Mr.R.Gunasekaran

    Mr.R.Gunasekaran visited P.U.M.School Ayyampalayam, near Jagathapi, Karur Dt. Headmistress Mrs Kannaki

    doing great work to improve this rural school It was upgraded to Middle school last year.95 students and 3 teacher

    (only one teacher for 6,7,8 STD). Already IndiaSudar Eco club have given 25 saplings to this school,

    The problem is girl students from that school getting married at age of 9 years or 10. This is the

    custom of that village people(community) Many girl students got dropout due to that.

    Deployed Three teacher at Sri Ramakrishna Ashram School, Mukhtiyargunj [IS Madhya Pradesh]

    Date: 21st April 2010 Sunday Member: Ravi Dhanwani & UdhayaWe started supporting Sri ramakrishna Ashram school, Bardah Deh Chowk,Mukhtiyargunj, Satna -

    485001, Madhya Pradesh from year 2009. Last year we deployed two teachers and provided education material

    for 50 students. This year this school providing education for 100+ students. So we deployed three teachers to

    provide continued education for academic year 2010-11.

    Our Thanks to India Sudar work coordinator Mr.Ravi Dhanwani(410) to monitor & execute this project.

    Educational Material for Shibshankar SishuNiketan Amrasabai Parghanas [IS West Bengal]

    Date: 23rd April 2010 Friday Member: R. Radhakrishnan

    As per their latest request from Shibshankar SishuNiketan, South 24-Parghanas, we willbe supporting the third teacher for this academic year. Children belonging to poor and unprivileged sections of

    community are taught on the primary school upto Class 4. They are also sent their request for notebooks & other

    educational materials. 179 Students are studying here. Total Educational materials cost for all this poor students is

    about Rs. 67,000/- Indiasudar is expect its members to support partially (or) any specific class (or) no of students

    (or) donate small fund towards following material projects

    Inauguration of IS Library & Computer Centre,Special Home, Chengalpet [IS Tamil Nadu]

    Date: 10th May 2010 Monday Member: Karthikeyan.M, Sargunan & UdhayaIndia Sudar Library, Computer Center and Sports Club were inaugurated at Special Home (Juvenile Rehabilitation

    for Delinquent Children), Chengalpattu, Tamil Nadu by Chief Guest Mr.M.Gunasekaran, ADSP, Kanchipuram, Tamil

    Nadu on 08-May-2010.

    Our Sincere thanks to Mr.Thanasekara Pandian(Superdent), Special Home who supported us to do
