Notre histoire remonte aux années 1930, lorsque le

Dr h. c. Reinhard Straumann développa et breveta un

alliage révolutionnaire pour la fabrication de spiraux

auto-compensateurs.

Le petit-fi ls de Reinhard, Thomas Straumann, fonda en

2001 l’entreprise «Precision Engineering AG», reprenant

ainsi les activités dans l’horlogerie. Cela fut le début du

développement et de la fabrication d’un nouvel alliage

pour la production de ressorts spiraux. En hommage à

ses inventeurs, les noms de marque Spiral Straumann®,

Straumann Spirale® et Straumann Hairspring® ont été

protégés au niveau international.

Precision Engineering AG (PEAG) a intégré en 2012 le

groupe «Moser Watch Holding», en tant que société in-

dépendante.

Les technologies et le savoir-faire hérités de Straumann

SA ont alors continué à être développés, permettant à

PEAG de disposer aujourd’hui de vastes compétences

dans la production de nouveaux alliages destinés aux

ressorts spiraux. Nous sommes l’une des très rares

entreprises capables de formuler et de fabriquer de tels

alliages.

Unsere Geschichte beginnt 1930, als Dr. h. c. Reinhard

Reinhards Enkel, Thomas Straumann, gründete 2001 die

Precision Engineering AG für Aktivitäten im

Uhrensegment. Dies war der Beginn der Entwicklung

und Herstellung neuer Legierungen zur Produktion von

Unruhspiralfedern. Als Hommage an den Erfi nder

wurden die Markennamen Straumann Spirale®, Spiral

Straumann® und Straumann Hairspring® international

geschützt.

Die Precision Engineering AG (PEAG) wurde im Jahr

2012 als eigenständige Firma in die neu gegründete

Moser Watch Holding integriert.

Die von Straumann übernommenen Werkstoff-Techno-

logien wurden stetig weiter entwickelt, sodass die PEAG

heute über ein umfangreiches Werkstoff-Know-how

verfügt. Wir sind eines der wenigen Unternehmen, das Le-

gierungen in eigener Kompetenz formuliert und herstellt.

Our story began in 1930 when Reinhard Straumann

developed and patented a revolutionary alloy for self-

compensating hairsprings.

Reinhard’s grandson, Thomas Straumann, founded Preci-

sion Engineering AG in 2001 to carry out the activities in

the watch segment. This was the beginning of the devel-

opment and manufacture of new alloys for the produc-

tion of spiral hairsprings. As a tribute to their inventors,

the brand names Straumann hairspring®, Straumann Spi-

rale® and Spiral Straumann® have been protected interna-

tionally.

In 2012 Precision Engineering AG (PEAG) was integrated

as an independent company in the newly founded Moser

Watch Holding.

The technologies and know-how inherited from Strau-

mann have been continuously developed, ensuring

PEAG’s broad know-how in the fi eld of materials. We are

one of the few companies that have the in-house expertise

to formulate and produce such alloys.

ferred alloys such as copper-beryllium (Glucydur) or nick-

el silver, and balance wheels with screws. The weight

screws are made of solid gold, allowing adjustment of the

inertia.

anCHoR and eSCapeMent WHeel

Mounted and made of various materials such as carbon

steel, anti-magnetic Durnico, nickel alloys, silicon, as well

as solid gold.

Available as raw hairsprings or with collet and stud,

«compté» or «classé» with fl at or Breguet end curve, in

small and large series. All our hairsprings are made of our

newest self-compensating PE4000 alloy and are thermally

stabilised.

sion, which is very beneficial for use in movements with

double hairsprings and tourbillons.
