1. Incidental Music IdeasOn the following pages I have found fiveprevious of pieces of music that could be usedin my trailer. They are all similar in the way theybuild throughout and they all sound similar,containing similar instruments. 2. www.mediamusicnow.co.ukStriving ForwardsI really feel that this clip would suite my drama genre as it feelsthroughout he incidental music that a story is progressing. Thebeginning of the clip begins softly and the build up through thepiece is really effective showing rise and fall. If I were to edit thevolume up and down I could bring the tension up whennecessary in my storyboard. However there is a climax ending inthis piece which is helpful within my narrative drama. Theconstant drum throughout makes the piece fluid and at the sametime the guitar brings effective peeks in the music. 3. www.mediamusicnow.co.ukThe Story UnfoldsI think the beginning of this clip is the most effective section, showing agradual build of sound. The music itself displays drama which is what mygenre is however I feel it also is quite an emotional and almost sad pieceof music which I feel is not as relevant to my narrative. This piece is veryconstant in the way that only the end shows a final climax and the journeyto the climax is long, dragging a little. The piece feels classical due to theinstruments involved making me think it does not sound current enough.The end builds with a climax which would work with my narrative having aclimax at the end however the clip takes a long time to get to this point. 4. www.mediamusicnow.co.ukThere's A FeelingThe beginning of this piece interested me as it is different to themajority I looked at however overall this piece doesn'tt feel veryrelevant to my drama narrative. The beginning build works nicelywith some different sound effects added which were interestinghowever there was no feeling portrayed in this sound clip which letthe whole sound track down. I do like sections of this clip howeveroverall I feel it is not strong enough as a incidental music clip. 5. www.mediamusicnow.co.ukMinute By MinuteThe beginning of this piece is soft and contains only the pianohowever this quickly builds to a more pacey section which containsa guitar piece along with the piano. The build is dramatic whichsuites my genre and my narrative however the piece is not upbeatenough to show clear rises and falls. A story an definitely be seenthroughout the piece however I feel the story in the music is notthe same as my narrative. I feel the clip is relevant but not upbeator exciting enough and the ending shows this as it has a fade outand not a climax which is what I'm looking for. 6. www.mediamusicnow.co.ukAbove The CloudsI feel that this piece works really well with my narrative and myplanning of incidental music. There is an effective build up ofsound in the beginning of the piece and the upbeat feeling of thepiece continues throughout the clip. I feel this piece would suitemy older teen and young adult target audience as the musicsounds like a current band. There are effective rises and fallsthroughout. Concluding the clip is an effective break with aclimaxing ending which is what I am looking for to suite mynarrative and works with my cliff hanger ending.
