Trends of the Week

This past Friday, the Hornets won yet another game against Miller County. Even with the massive amount of penal-

ties against the Hornets, they managed to pull through. This now makes their record 3-0. The Hornets will now start

preparing for one of the biggest games of the season against the Colquitt Coun-ty Packers this Friday. The Hornets are going to need to have one of their best

weeks of practice ever to be ready for their opponent this Friday. Many of the players are excited to get a chance to

play against such a tough opponent. This week’s game will be away and tick-ets will not be available at the gate. If you are interested in purchasing tickets, you may do so in the PHS front office.

The seniors had their first senior lunch on Friday September 12th. For their restaurant, they chose

Chicken Trax. Approximately fifty seniors participated in last week’s lunch. The nest senior lunch will

be at the end of the month and the restaurant will be Pizza Hut.

he Pelham High Cross Country team traveled to Lee County to run in the Lee County High Invitational. Approximately about twelve

teams were involved in the meet. Neither the girls or boys varsity teams placed in the top 5; however their times were better than their last invitational. Junior,

McKenzie Smith said, that she feels with a little more w o r k a n d ded ica -

tion the girls will continue their streak on going to State in Carrollton.

Also, senior, Brett Bailey feels that since cross country is an individual team sport, so there-

fore everyone should do their best individually in order to help the team. Coach Ashely Hutto expressed after the meet that both teams need to improve in order to beat Thomasville and advance to state. The cross country team

next invitational is on September 27 on Saturday.

Pictured below are the win-ners of last week’s football

contest; Kayla Austin and Owen Beall. They both won a $5.00 certificate to the

are great for everyday wear and to be used as fashionable accesso-ries. Plus, countless people are wearing fun Southern Marsh and

Senior Lunch

Tamia Hallmon and Casandra Brown have been friends for 7 years. Casandra moved back to Pel-

ham from Albany and she was in Tamia’s class. They started talking and became close. They enjoy talk-

ing, laughing, and cheerleading to-gether. Tamia loves Casandra’s per-sonality. Casandra admires the fact that Tamia is more like her sister; she is smart, funny, talented,

and very trustworthy.
