¿QUE PUEDO HACER POR MI PARROQUIA? El Presidente John F. Kennedy, dijo: "No preguntes que puede hacer mi nación por mi, preguntante que puedo hacer yo por mi nación..." La Nación, la Ciudad y la Par roquia serán grande y tendrán progreso si cada uno nos sentimos comprometidos a trabajar por la prosperidad y logros de sus proyectos y necesidades... De ti y de cada uno depende si avanzamos, mejoramos y progresamos. Por eso vale la pena que cada uno se pregunte: ¿Que puedo hacer por mi Parroquia? ¿Que estoy haciendo para mejorar mi Comunidad? No esperemos que otros hagan lo que debemos hacer todos y cada uno. Podemos estar mejor si todos nos comprometemos a servir y ayudar en las actividades y eventos que realizamos. Una Rifa o una Kermes, que pudiera aportar mucho más recursos para que la comunidad pudiera desarrollar sus proyecto, no tiene todo el alcance porque son pocos y siempre los mismos.

Muchas personas creen que la Iglesia es una de tantas organizaciones que existen en el mundo y por eso critican, difaman y se muestra indiferente ante las necesidades de la Iglesia... Los apósteles y los cristianos comprometidos en su fe, no dudan que la iglesia ha sido constituida por Cristo, que Él, la guía y la Fortalece en todo momento. El sabio Gamaliel, dijo en el Sanedrín a los judíos: " Dejen libres a estos hombres los apóstoles porque si lo que ellos hacen es cosa de hombres, ellos mismo lo destruirán pero si lo que hacen es obra de Dios, nadie podrá destruirla. No se arriesguen a luchar contra Dios"! La Iglesia tiene más de dos mil años, sirviendo en medio de persecuciones y dificultades. Ni un solo día han dejado de perseguirla y maltratarla, pero sigue fiel a su fundador y Maestro, para la gloria de Dios!

Somos muchos pero solo el 10% de la Comunidad, esta comprometida a servir, contribuir y evangelizar. Muchos, viene a la Misa los Domingos, a su juntas de ministerios, a los cursos del Tepeyac, y muchas otras celebraciones religiosas y devocionales pero no se sienten comprometidos a DAR su TIEMPO, TALENTOS y TESOROS. Vamos a tener la Feria de Ministerios el domingo 21 de mayo durante las Misas en la Placita St. Pio X, vamos a ver cuántos se comprometen a servir al Señor y su Comunidad. Necesitamos crecer en la generosidad de SERVIR y OFRENDAR en la coleta DOMINICAL. Más compromiso y participación en las actividades, eventos, en la Rifa y Kermes de la Parroquia. Como puedes ayudar en tantos lugares y no en tu Iglesia? Reflexiona y Decídete! Amen! Rev. Wilson Cuevas, Pastor

WHAT CAN I DO FOR MY PARISH? President John F. Kennedy, said: "Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your county..." The County, the city and the parish could be large and will pro-gress if everyone committed to work for the pros-perity and progress of their projects and needs... It

depends on you and everyone whether we move forward, we improve and we progress. That is why it is worth that each one will ask: What can I do for my parish? What am I doing to improve my community? Each and every one of us should not wait for others to do what we must do. We can be more effective if we all commit ourselves to serve and assist in the activities and events that we do. A raffle or a Bazaar, which could bring a lot more resources to the community to realize their projects, does not have the full extent because they are always only a few and always the same.

Many people believe that the Church is one of many or-ganizations that exist in the world and that is why it is criticize, slandered and is indifferent to the needs of the Church... The apostles and committed Christians in their faith, do not hesitate that the church has been constituted by Christ, which He is the Guide and the Strength at all times. The wise Gamaliel, said in the Sanhedrin to the Jews: "Keep away from these apostles men and leave them alone, for if this plan or this undertaking is of man, it will fail; but if it is of God, you will not be able to overthrow them. Do not risk fighting against God"! The Church has over two thousand years serving in the midst of persecutions and hardships. Not a single day has ceased to persecute and mistreat her, but she remains faithful to her founder and Master, for the glory of God!

We are numerous but only 10% of the community is committed to serve, contribute, and to evangelize. The majority of people come to Mass on Sundays, to their ministries, to the courses of Tepeyac, and many other reli-gious and devotional celebrations but do not feel commit-ted to GIVE their TIME, TALENTS and TREASURES. On Sunday, May 21st we will be having a Ministry Fair during the Masses in the Plaza of St. Pius X. Let's see how many commit themselves to serve the Lord and His community. We need to grow in generosity to SERVE and OFFER more in our SUNDAY OFFERING. We need more commitment and participation in the activ-ities, events, raffles and Bazaar of the Parish. How can you help in so many other places and not in your church? Reflect and Make Up Your Mind! Amen! Rev. Wilson Cuevas, Pastor
