ONLY GOD…

Only God can give FAITH ... But you can give your testimony. Only God can give HOPE ... But you can convey confidence to your brothers or sisters. Only God can give LOVE ... But you can teach to love oth-ers. Only God can give PEACE ... But you can pro-mote harmony. Only God can give STRENGTH ... But you can support the weak. Only God is the WAY ...

But you can show it to others. Only God can be the LIGHT ... But you can light the way for your fellow men. Only God is LIFE ... But you can give back to many the desire to live. Only God can MAKE THE IMPOSSIBLE ... But you can do what is possible. Only God is SELF-SUFFICIENT ... But He prefers to count on you.

Jesus is the friend who never fails in the hours of sadness, al-ways collaborating in everything that is possible. But did not arrive. What happened? Only four days later I arrived but it was too late. Martha tells him, my brother wanted to see you so much ... Jesus burst into tears. At the death of a loved one, even the most powerful of all men, must weep. I cry as a man but as God act decisively. He ordered them to remove the stone that covered the tomb and with a loud voice says: "LAZARUS COME OUT!" And that stinking corpse is transformed into a living being, perfectly healthy. The miracle is so great that the Pharisees declare that if they do not kill him, Jesus will take all the people with him (S. Jn 11,10). Without touching him, with-out massages, without remedies, He resurrects the dead buried for four days of buried. This Christ is formidable!

The opposite happens with Christ than what happens with the politicians: Let us be excited to put a vote thinking: "This one will fix the situation"; "Finally someone that will improve our country" and after four years we are disillusioned, and say: "This one did not fix the situation either. He made it worse. Why? He did not want to? Maybe he wanted to but could not. With Chr ist it’s the opposite, He wants and can and does everything He promises because He is God and for God "Nothing is impossible".

Today Christ approaches your life and mine, to tell us: "REMEMBER THESE TOMBS ..." From dread and fear, from hatred, apathy, spiritual laziness, sin, prejudice, Complex, ego-ism, pessimism, weariness, avarice, pride ... ONLY HE CAN TAKE US OUT OF THESE TOMBS OF DEATH TO RE-TURN TO LIFE ... In each one of us there is a Lazarus ... they are ours Situations impossible to fix by ourselves. Some will be their bad habits, vices, sadness, bad temper, lack of faith, self-ishness. How many Lazarus are here ... Christ wants to bring them back to life! Say: Jesus I trust in you!

SOLO DIOS...

Solo Dios puede dar la FE... Pero tú puedes dar tu testimonio. Solo Dios puede dar a ESPERANZA...Pero tú puedes trasmitir les confianza a tus hermanos. Solo Dios puede dar AMOR... Pero tú puedes ensenar a amar a los demás. Solo Dios puede dar la PAZ... Pero tu puedes promover la armonía. Solo Dios puede dar la FUERZA...Pero tú puedes sostener al desfallecido. Solo Dios es el CAMINO... Pero tú puedes mostrárselo a los demás. Solo Dios puede es la LUZ...Pero tú puedes alumbrarle el camino a tus semejantes. Solo Dios es la VIDA… Pero tú puedes devolver les a muchos el deseo de vivir. Solo Dios puede HACER LO IMPOSIBLE... Pero tú puedes hacer lo que es posible. Solo Dios se BASTA A SI MISMO… Pero El prefiere contar contigo.

Jesús, es el amigo que nunca falta en las horas tristes, siempre resuelto a colaborar en todo lo que le sea posible. Pero no llego. Que habrá pasado? Solo a los cuatro días llego pero ya era demasiado tarde. Marta le dice, mi hermano deseaba tanto verte... Jesús se echó a llorar. Ante la muerte de un ser querido, hasta el más poderoso de todos los hombres, tiene que echarse a llorar. Lloro como hombre pero como Dios actúa con decisión. Ordena que quiten la piedra que tapa la tumba y con voz fuerte dice: " LAZARO SAL FUERA!" Y aquel cadáver maloliente, sale transformado en un ser vivo, perfectamente sano. Es tan grande el milagro que los fariseos declaran que si no lo matan, Jesús se llevara consigo toda la gente (S. Jn. 11,10). Sin tocarlo, sin masajes, sin remedios, resucita a un muerto de cuatro días de enterrado. Formidable este Cristo.!

Con Cristo pasa lo contrario de lo que nos sucede con los politicos: Vamos ilusionados a depositar un voto pensando: "Este si arreglara la situación"; "Por fin llego el que mejorara nuestro país" y a los cuatro años, desilusionados, decimos: "tampoco este compuso la situación. Antes la volvió peor". Por qué? No quiso? Si quiso pero no pudo. Con Cr isto es lo contrar io, el quiere y puede y cumple todo lo que nos promete porque El es Dios y para Dios "Nada es imposible".

Hoy Cristo se acerca a tu vida y a la mía, para decirnos: "SALGAN DE ESAS TUMBAS..." Del temor y miedo, de los odios, de las apatías, de la pereza espiritual, del pecado, de los prejuicios, de los complejos, del egoísmo, del pesimismo, del cansancio, de la avaricia, del orgullo...SOLO EL PUEDE SACARNOS DE ESAS TUMBAS DE MUERTE PARA DEVOLVERNOS A LA VIDA... En cada uno de nosotros hay un Lázaro... son nuestras situaciones imposibles de arreglar por nosotros mismos para unos será sus malas costumbres, vicios, tristezas, mal genio, falta de fe, egoísmo. Cuantos Lazaros hay aquí... Cristo los quiere resucitar! Diga: Jesús yo confió en ti!

NI SIQUIERA UNA HORA?

No pudieron velar conmigo ni siquiera una hora? Esto dijo Jesús a sus Apóstoles, aquella terrible noche en el Huerto de los Olivos… Ojala que al terminar la semana que hoy empieza, Cristo no tenga que hacernos algunas de estas molestas preguntas: * Durante sus vacaciones de Semana Santa, en algún lugar turístico, No tuvieron un rato para asistir el Jueves Santo a los oficios litúrgicos de este día? * No pudieron, el viernes Santos, darse un tiempecito, para recorrer conmigo el penoso camino de la cruz.?

* No pudieron a ejemplo mío, que entregue mi vida por la salvación de todos, empezar al servir a los mas pobres, a los más indefensos, por los más débiles dentro y fuera de casa.?

NOT EVEN AN HOUR?

Interrogado por Herodes Atipas (Lc. 15,2-15) 7. Interrogado por Poncio Pilato (Jn. 19,9-12)

DEAR FATHER:

What is the Easter Triduum? It is the center and culmination of the Liturgical Year. It begins with the Mass of the Lord's Supper, on the afternoon of Holy Thursday, has a culminating supper at the Easter Vigil and ends at sunset on Resurrection Sunday. THIS DISEASE WILL SERVE "FOR THE GLORY OF GOD"

Jesus said that the illness of Lazarus would not end in death, but which would serve " For the glory of God" The Words of the Lord: "I am the Resurrection and the Life," He then Resurrected Lazarus! To give glory to God, LORD OF LIFE! Blessed be God!

CANDLES FOR THE MONUMENT

Each family can buy, in the parish office, a candle for the mon-ument of the SACRAMENTED JESUS ON HOLY THURS-DAY, with a special intention for your family or a loved one. Christ give thanks for these details of love and faith. On Sun-day, April 23rd, after Mass, you can pick up your candle or during the week in the parish office.

Holy Saturday, April 15th at the Easter Vigil, 8:00 pm., please DO NOT BRING CANDLES OR WATER, we will give you candles and holy water to take home and use it with great faith. At the front door at the end of the Mass we will give you BLESSED BREAD to share with your family!
