The practice provided planning and environmental consultancy for a port extension at North Killingholme on the Humber estuary, helping to obtain consents for the second phase of marine works.

We were involved with marine consent applications and environmental assessments for the third phase of development as well as planning applications and environmental impact assessment for the expansion of the port’s landside facilities. The terminal, an important contributor to the region’s economic development, provides berths for roll-on-roll-off container ships.

Our expertise in terrestrial and marine developments assisted in discussions with regulatory bodies and statutory consultees. We coordinated ecological, hydraulic and environmental studies to provide information on the impact of the proposals on estuarine habitats and species protected by the European Habitats Directive.
