Cerita aksi kemanusiaan Human Initiative dari

tahun ke tahun bak membaca perjalanan panjang

seorang manusia. Perjalanan kemanusiaan yang

tiada akhirnya. Kami sadar betul perjalanan ini ada

rintangan tapi Kami tak lupa untuk menemukan

cara bahagia menikmati perjalanan ini.

Maka Kami memilih untuk menguatkan tubuh agar tetap tangguh melewati segala medan, melewati panas terik dan menerabas hujan, serta tak lupa memperbanyak kawan sepanjang perjalanan. Itulah gambaran Human Initiative mengarungi samudera aksi kemanusiaan.

Dua dasawarsa perjalanan organisasi bukan waktu sebentar dan mudah Kami lewati. Modal utama ketahanan organisasi adalah masyarakat. Ya, masyarakat menerima apa yang Kami suguhkan.

The story of The Human Initiative humanitarian

actions from one year to another is like reading a

story of a man’s journey. A never-ending human

journey. We are aware that this journey faces us

with obstacles, but we never forget to find a way

to be happy to enjoy it.

Berawal dari aksi kemanusiaan di Ambon tahun 1999, organisasi ini lahir bernama Yayasan Pos Keadilan Peduli

Ummat (PKPU). Kementerian Hukum dan HAM menerbitkan surat izin Yayasan PKPU tepat pada 10 Desember

1999. Keberterimaan masyarakat atas aksi kemanusiaan PKPU menjadi energi tambahan untuk Kami yang berupaya

tetap bertahan di awal pendirian. Alhamdulillah Kami berhasil melewati masa kritis itu.

Starting with our humanitarian actions in 1999, this organization was born and named Pos Keadilan Peduli

Ummat Foundation (PKPU). The Ministry of Law and Human Rights issued a license to the PKPU Foundation on

December 10th, 1999. The community welcoming the humanitarian actions of PKPU was an additional fuel for us

to keep strong in the beginning of our establishment. Alhamdulillah, praise be to Allah, we have passed the critical

period.

Thus, we chose to strengthen ourselves to keep

strong to pass through all fields, the heat and

rain, not forgetting to have many friends along

the way. That is how we portray The Human

Initiative taking actions in humanity.

Two decades for an organization is not a short

time and we easily passed through it. The

strength to have in an organization is the

community. Indeed, the community welcomes

what we offer.

Salah satu adaptasi Kami adalah mengubah nama dan

lembaga berikut menguatkan budaya dan nilai

organisasi. Perubahan ini juga sebagai bentuk

adaptasi Kami terhadap perundang-undangan yang

baru oleh pemerintah.

Kami berupaya sedetil mungkin dalam mengusung

perubahan lembaga. Dimulai dengan melakukan

survey untuk menjaring opini stakeholder. Kami juga

melibatkan pihak luar untuk mengolah hasil survey

serta memberikan pendapat sebagai pertimbangan

Kami dalam menggulirkan perubahan lembaga.

One of our actions in adjusting with time was to

change the name and agency to strengthen the

agency culture and values. This transformation

was also a form of our adjustment to the new

legislation issued by the government.

We strive to be as detailed as possible to make

changes. We started with surveys to obtain stake-

holders’ opinion. We also involved an external

agency to populate the result of the survey and

provide us with insight for us to consider in making

this transformation.

Seiring dengan antusiasme masyarakat terutama muslim dalam berzakat pada awal-awal 2000-an PKPU juga

memfokuskan diri sebagai lembaga amil zakat. Hasilnya dua tahun setelah Kami mendirikan yayasan, lembaga ini

mendapat izin sebagai Lembaga Amil Zakat Nasional dari Kementerian Agama.

Along with the enthusiasm of the community in paying their zakat in the beginning of the year 2000, PKPU also

focused itself as an agency to manage zakat fund. As a result, two years after the establishment of the foundation,

the agency received a license as a National Zakat Agency from the Ministry of Religious

Affairs.

Momentum lain yang tak kalah berdampak terhadap

lembaga ini adalah perkembangan dunia digital dalam

satu dasawarsa terakhir. Kami wajib beradaptasi.

Sebab di luar sana banyak organisasi, baik korporasi

maupun lembaga nirlaba, yang tergopoh-gopoh

merespon perkembangan zaman digital. Tak sedikit

yang bertumbangan. Kami melihat perkembangan

zaman digital bukan momok menakutkan tetapi

tantangan. Kami optimistis bisa melewatinya sebab

gen lembaga ini telah terlatih mengarungi badai

tantangan.

Transformasi terus berjalan. Berkiprah di antara aksi

kemanusiaan menyadarkan Kami bahwa perlu ada

pembenahan internal di sana-sini. Kami wajib

memantaskan diri sebagai lembaga yang ingin terus

berkembang. Salah satu momentum yang membuat

Kami berbenah diri adalah terjadinya tsunami Aceh

pada 2004. Kami menilai bencana dahsyat itu memicu

banyak lembaga kemanusiaan untuk memperbaiki

diri dalam mengelola aksi kebencanaan.

Another moment that also impacted this agency

was the development of digital era in the last

decade. We had to adapt. Indeed, out there,

many organizations, both corporates or

non-profit organizations, had difficulties in

responding the digital era. Many collapsed. We

see the digital era, not as something scary, but a

challenge. We are optimist that we can pass

through this, because our genes have been

trained to pass through challenges.

The transformation continued. Taking part in

humanitarian actions made us aware that there

was a need to internal improvement. We had to

make ourselves fit as an agency that was willing

to evolve. One of the moment that made us want

to improve ourselves was the Aceh tsunami in

2004. We considered that this huge disaster

triggered many humanitarian agencies to

improve themselves in managing disasters.

Dari hasil menelisik perspektif publik tentang Lembaga, Kami berketetapan untuk merombak organisasi. PKPU yang

awalnya mengurusi zakat, wakaf, dan program kemanusiaan akhirnya membelah diri atau spin-off. Zakat dan Wakaf

dibuatkan organisasi masing-masing yaitu Iniziatif Zakat Indonesia dan Inisiatif Wakaf. Adapun PKPU berfokus pada

program-program kemanusiaan. Pemisahan ini juga mengadaptasi kemampuan SDM yang ternyata mengerucut pada

dua kemampuan yaitu kemampuan mengelola zakat, dan kemampuan mengelola program kemanusiaan non-zakat.

Pada transformasi awal pasca spin-off, nama

lembaga masih menggunakan embel-embel nama

lama yaitu PKPU Human Initiave. Per 2019 Kami

memulai aktivitas kemanusiaan dengan nama dan

logo baru yang resmi yaitu Human Initiative.

Kami menyadari perubahan nama dan logo, juga

kantor baru, bukan tujuan perubahan yang kami

inginkan. Perubahan di level itu hanyalah sekadar

seremoni perubahan yang berdampak kecil- kalau

enggan disebut tidak berdampak- terhadap

perubahan yang sebenar-benarnya.

Momen lain yang juga mempengaruhi organisasi ini

adalah perkembangan era digital pada akhir

dasawarsa. Kami harus beradaptasi. Memang di luar

sana banyak sekali organisasi, baik korporasi maupun

organisasi non-profit yang mengalami kesulitan

dalam memahami era digital. Banyak yang jatuh.

Kami melihat era digital, bukan sebagai sesuatu yang

menakutkan, tapi sebagai tantangan. Kami optimis

bahwa kami bisa melewati ini, karena gen kami telah

dilatih untuk melewatinya tantangan.

Based on the result of the analysis of public perspective on Agency, we decided to overhaul the agency. PKPU

which started with the management of zakat, waqf, and humanitarian program would finally spin off. For zakat and

waqf, separate agencies were established for each of them, i.e., Iniziatif Zakat Indonesia and Inisiatif Wakaf. As for

PKPU, it focused on humanitarian programs. This separation was also meant to adjust the capacity of human

resources as it focused on two capacities, namely the capacity to manage zakat and the capacity of non-zakat

humanitarian programs.

Another moment that also impacted this agency

was the development of digital era in the last

decade. We had to adapt. Indeed, out there, many

digital era. Many collapsed. We see the digital era,

In the beginning of the transformation, after the

spin-off, the name of the agency still used PKPU

The Human Initiative. In 2019, we started our

humanitarian activities with a new official name

and logo, i.e., The Human Initiative.

We were aware that the change in name and logo,

and office, was not the only purpose. These

changes were only a ceremonial with a small

impact - if we do not want to say it no impact - on

the real changes.

Karakter Agile Organization menjadi pilihan tepat yang akan membantu Human Initiative kepada keinginan menjadi lembaga kemanusiaan berskala internasional. Sebab kemanusiaan itu tidak ada batasnya dan tidak dibatasi negara. Maka mencanangkan sebagai lembaga kemanusiaan berskala global bukan hal yang mustahil.

Dengan membangun karakter Agile Organization, Human Initiative lebih mudah tahu bagaimana cara dan memantaskan diri menjadi lembaga kemanusiaan berskala global. Kolaborasi menjadi salah satu ciri khas Human Initiative dalam aksi-aksi kemanusiaan. Di berbagai program kemanusiaan Kami mengutamakan kolaborasi dengan berbagai lembaga lain baik lokal maupun internasional. Puncak dari kolaborasi adalah saat Human Initiative menghadapi krisis kemanusiaan Rohingya di Myanmar. Dari pengalaman itu Kami terus menjalin kolaborasi-kolaborasi lain guna menyuguhkan program yang bermanfaat untuk kemanusiaan.

The changes are planted in The Human Initiative

human resources’ mindset. The changes that we

made was to transform this agency to have an Agile

Organization character. Agile Organization is an

organization in the midst of organizational

digitalization that can adapt fast, able to be

collaborative, and flexible, the transformation

being an agile organization and not a temporary

transformation where we put a temporary

solution. This is a character we have wanted and

we have strive since 2019.

Being Agile Organization was the right choice that

would help The Human Initiative to achieve its

hope to become an international humanitarian

agency. Because humanity has no boundaries and

is not limited by the state. Thus, declaring a

humanitarian agency on a global scale is not

impossible.

By building the character of an Agile Organization,

it would be easier for The Human Initiative to know

how to be and establish themselves as a global

humanitarian institution. Collaboration is one of

the characteristics of The Human Initiative in

humanitarian actions. In all humanitarian

programs, we prioritize collaboration with other

agencies both local and international. The peak of

this collaboration was when The Human Initiative

was facing Rohingya humanitarian crisis in

Myanmar. This experience encouraged us to

continue other collaborations to offer beneficial

programs for the humanity.

Adanya perubahan itu tertanam pada mindset SDM Human Initiative. Perubahan yang Kami usung adalah mentransformasi lembaga ini memiliki karakter sebagai Agile Organization. Agile Organization adalah organisasi yang tangkas di tengah digitalisasi organisasi. Memiliki sifat beradaptasi cepat, kolaboratif, dan fleksibel. Transformasi yang diusung organisasi yang Agile bukan perubahan yang sifatnya tambah sulam semata. Inilah karakter yang Kami inginkan dan Kami ikhtiarkan sejak Human Initiative mengarungi 2019.

Tahun 2019 adalah tahun pertama lembaga

ini resmi bernama Human Initiative.

Sebelumnya PKPU dan PKPU Human

Initiative. Sebagai lembaga yang

menggariskan agile sebagai karakter

organisasi, Kami tertantang agar

perubahan nama – juga logo- tidak sekadar

seremoni transformasi organisasi. Esensi

sebagai agile organization harus

benar-benar teraplikasikan di setiap

denyut aktivitas Human Initiative.

2019 was the first year this agency became officially The Human Initiative. It had been PKPU and PKPU The Human Initiative. As an agency that determines agile as its character, we are challenged so that the name change - and the logo, is not only a symbol of organization transformation. Agile secara bahasa adalah tangkas. Konteks dalam kelembagaan, agile berarti organisasi yang efektif, fleksibel, mampu berkolaborasi, dan mudah beradaptasi di segala situasi. Untuk menjadi organisasi yang berkarakter agile tantangannya adalah membangun sumber daya manusia yang benar-benar memahami dan mempraktekkan agile organization.

Semangat agile bukan benar-benar dimulai 2019. Jauh sebelum itu, bibit-bibit untuk menanamkan semangat agile itu sudah Kami tebar. Banyak transformasi yang kami lakukan di level manajemen dan SDM.

Di level manajemen Kami melakukan spin-off

yang bertujuan untuk memecah organisasi

induk menjadi tiga manajemen dengan fokus

berbeda. Di tahap ini Kami memulai dengan

menggelar survey untuk menelisik perspektif

masyarakat terhadap kiprah lembaga saat

bernama Yayasan PKPU. Apa yang Kami

dapatkan dari hasil survey itu benar-benar

menjadi pijakan untuk menentukan langkah

Kami selanjutnya hingga menjadi Human

Initiative.

Agile by definition means able to move quickly

and easily. In the context of an organization,

being agile means being effective, flexible and

able to collaborate and to adapt easily in any

situation. The challenge being an agile

organization is to build human resources who

really understand and apply agile as the

organization’s character.

The spirit of agility did not really start in 2019.

Long before 2019, we had started to plant the

spirit of agility. We have changed a lot at

management level and human resources.

formula yang pas untuk bisa meledakkan

potensi SDM yang ada. SDM yang Kami miliki

mayoritas adalah generasi milenial yang

kompatibel dengan semangat agile

organization. Alhamdulillah, sejauh Kami

melangkah apa yang Kami dapatkan sesuai

ekspektasi: antara harapan SDM dan harapan

organisasi bisa selaras.

As for Human Resources level, we tried different formula to find a suitable one to explore the potential within the existing human resources. The majority of our staff is millennial who is compatible with the spirit of an agile organization. Alhamdulillah, praise be to Allah, we have got what we have expected: the human resources’ expectation and that of organization can be harmonized.

At management level, we did spin-off to divide the parent organization into three managements with different focus. At this level, we started to conduct a survey to analyze public perspective on an agency’s performance, named PKPU Foundation. The result of this survey was a base to determine our next step until we became The Human Initiative.

Bagaimana hasilnya? Kami tidak perlu mengklaim

bahwa apa yang Kami lakukan benar. Cukup

pengakuan dari pihak luar yang menjelaskan kualitas

Kami.

Cara Kami mengelola SDM adalah dengan

menghargai setiap upaya tim sekalipun upaya itu

gagal. Kami menghargai setiap kegagalan. Kegagalan

bukan berarti buruk. Sebaliknya kegagalan berarti

Kami ditunjukkan lebih cepat bahwa Kami perlu

segera mengubah rencana. Cara pandang seperti ini

yang membuat Kami lebih bergairah membangun

tim.

Pengakuan itu datang dari tiga NGO Internasional

yang berbasis di Inggris di bawah payung Disaster

Emergency Committee (Komite Darurat Bencana).

Disaster Emergency Committee adalah kelompok

badan amal Inggris yang mengkoordinasi dan

meluncurkan permohonan kolektif untuk

mengumpulkan dana bantuan darurat dan cepat bagi

korban bencana dan krisis kemanusiaan di seluruh

dunia. Pada 2019 mereka akan menggulirkan dana

bantuan untuk bencana alam Palu.

The way we manage HR is to appreciate every team effort even if the effort fails. We appreciate any failure. Failing is not something bad. On the contrary, that means that we are being showed a way faster that we need to change the plan immediately. This perspective makes us more passionate in team building.

And what is the result? We do not need to claim that what we have been doing is a correct one. Recognition from other parties describe our quality.

This recognition comes from three International NGO based in England under Disaster Emergency Committee. Disaster Emergency Committee is an English charity foundation association that coordinates and launches collective proposal to collect emergency fund fast for the victims of disasters and humanitarian crisis all over the world. In 2019, they disbursed fund to help survivors in Palu natural disaster.

Komite ini diwakili tiga lembaga NGO untuk

menggelar kontes dalam rangka mencari mitra

lokal. Di tahap inilah Human Initiative patut

berterima kasih. Dua dari tiga NGO memilih Human

Initiative sebagai mitra. Setelah ketiganya sadar

bahwa sama-sama mengharapkan Human Initiative

sebagai mitra, salah satu perwakilan NGO

mendatangi Kami dan menyampaikan bahwa

Human Initiative menjadi primadona untuk dipilih

sebagai rekan dalam menggulirkan dana bantuan

dari Disaster Emergency Committee.

The committee was represented by three NGOs

to organize a competition to search for local

partners. During this phase, The Human Initiative

would like to thank the partners. Two of the three

NGOs chose The Human Initiative as partner.

After the foundation was aware that the three of

them wished to have The Human Initiative as a

partner, one of the representatives of the NGO

came to us and conveyed that The Human

Initiative was a star to be chosen as a partner in

disbursing fund from the Disaster Emergency

Committee.

We were curious of the reasons of these

international NGOs to chose The Human Initiative.

It turned out that they considered The Human

Initiative positively and appreciated The Human

Initiative humanitarian programs. Their interest

was on how we run our programs and apply

standards of humanitarian aid applied

internationally.

Kami penasaran mengapa NGO bertaraf

internasional itu sama-sama memilih Human

Initiative? Ternyata mereka menilai dan

mengapresiasi capaian program kemanusian Human

Initiative. Ketertarikan mereka terletak pada

bagaimana Kami menjalankan program dan

menerapkan standar umum bantuan kemanusiaan

yang berlaku di tingkat global.

Bagi Human Initiative, pengakuan tersebut adalah

sebuah apresiasi yang pantas disyukuri. Kami

meyakini daya tarik Human Initiative bakal menguat

karena beberapa tahun sebelumnya Kami sangat

mendalam dan serius menerapkan standar sphere

dalam pelaksanaan program. Sphere merupakan

standar umum dalam aksi-aksi kemanusiaan bertaraf

global yang menjadi semacam Kode Etik dan acuan

bagi kalangan aktivis kemanusiaan level

internasional.

Terkait dengan ketertarikan beberapa NGO di

bawah payung Disaster Emergency Committee

terhadap Human Initiative, Kami memilih netral.

Kami yakin reputasi NGO internasional sama-sama

berkualitas sehingga tidak ada masalah dengan siapa

Kami harus bermitra. Yang terpenting adalah

penerima manfaat benar-benar merasakan

kemanfaatan dari kolaborasi tersebut. Inilah salah

satu karakter dalam agile organization.

Dengan makin banyaknya NGO yang ingin

berkolaborasi dengan Human Initiative, Kami perlu

memantaskan diri dan memperbaiki kualitas secara

berkesinambungan. Tidak ada kata selesai dan akhir

dalam perbaikan diri. Ini juga kebutuhan Kami

sebagai organisasi yang ingin menjadi lembaga

kemanusiaan tingkat global.

For The Human Initiative, the recognition is an

appreciation to be grateful for. We believe that the

appeal of The Human Initiative will contrinue to

strengthen because several years earlier we were

very keen in implementing sphere standards in

running our programs. Sphere is a normal standard

in international humanitarian actions which has

became the Ethical Code and a reference among

international humanitarian activists.

As for the interest of several NGOs under the

Disaster Emergency Committee to The Human

Initiative, we chose to be neutral. We are sure that

the reputation of these international NGOs is of

excellent quality that there is no difference with

whomever we partner. The most important is that

the beneficiaries can really feel the benefits from

this collaboration. This is one of the characters of

an agile organization.

With the increasing number of NGO willing to

collaborate with The Human Initiative, we need to

make ourselves fit and improve our quality

continuously. There is no end in this improvement.

This is our need as an agency that is willing to

become a global humanitarian agency

Another one of our efforts is to strengthen this

agility by establishing a Squad Team. The team

consists of personnel from different directorates.

The philosophy of the establishment of a Squad

Team duplicates the philosophy of the

establishment of a start up, that is the ability to

apply information technology to solve

organizational issues. The Squad Team consists of

cross-departmental members in The Human

Initiative. With this model, The Human Initiative

HR are demanded to adapt quickly amidst the rapid

evolution.

That was the focus of The Human Initiative in 2019.

The spirit of collaboration carried by the agency

and the strengthening of agility of our human

resources are our valuable assets to bring this

agency to the international level.

Salah satu upaya Kami lainnya untuk menguatkan

karakter agile adalah membangun Tim Squad. Tim ini

beranggotakan personil gabungan dari lintas

Lembaga Kemanusiaan Nasional PKPU Human

Initiative lahir pada 10 Desember 1999 bernama

awal Yayasan Pos Keadilan Peduli Ummat (PKPU).

Kelahiran lembaga ini merespon krisis

multidimensi yang melanda Indonesia sejak 1997 -

1999. Diperparah lagi terjadinya musibah bencana

alam maupun bencana kemanusiaan. Krisis

multidimensi itu menyebabkan jatuhnya korban

sipil. Ini membuat sejumlah aktivitis sosial

berinisiatif menghimpun bantuan dari masyarakat.

The Human Initiative was born on December

10, 1999 with an initial name Pos Keadilan

Peduli Ummat (PKPU) Foundation. The

establishment of this foundation was to

respond multidimensional crisis that hit

Indonesia from 1997 to 1999. It was

worsened by natural disasters and

humanitarian disasters. This

multidimensional crises claimed civilians. It

forced a few social activists to take initiative

to collect help from the community.

Tak hanya menyalurkan bantuan, para pegiat sosial

ini juga menyoroti keadaan masyarakat

prasejahtera yang perlu uluran tangan dengan

menyusun sejumlah program pengentasan

kemiskinan. Para pegiat sosial ini menilai perlu ada

program untuk mengentaskan ketergantungan

masyarakat prasejahtera tadi menuju kemandirian.

Inilah yang menginisiasi lahirnya Yayasan PKPU.

Selanjutnya Yayasan PKPU ditetapkan sebagai

Lembaga Amil Zakat Nasional pada 8 Oktober

2001 berdasarkan Surat Keputusan Menteri

Agama No. 441.

Dalam perjalanannya pengalaman PKPU dalam

pengelolaan bantuan kemanusiaan meningkatkan

kapasitas sumber daya manusia. Interaksi PKPU

semakin mengembang dan meluas. Tidak hanya ke

dalam negeri, jalinan kerja sama dengan lembaga

internasional semakin menguat. Pada 22 Juli 2008,

PKPU terdaftar di Perserikatan Bangsa-Bangsa

sebagai NGO dengan Special Consultative Status

with the Economic Social Council. Dua tahun

kemudian PKPU resmi terdaftar sebagai

Organisasi Sosial Nasional berdasarkan

Keputusan Menteri RI No. 08/Huk/2010 pada 29

Januari 2010.

Sepuluh bulan kemudian PKPU terdaftar di Uni Eropa

dengan nomor registrasi EuropeAid ID No.

2010-CSD-1203198618 pada 8 Oktober 2010.

Perjalanan penting lembaga ini kembali ditorehkan

pada awal 2016 dengan memecah lembaga atau

spin-off. Pasca spin-off, PKPU berfokus mengelola

dana kemanusiaan dan mengubah nama menjadi

PKPU Human Initiative. Lembaga ini memilih

memfokuskan pada program kemanusian. Adapun

fungsi zakat infak dan sedekah diemban oleh lembaga

lain. Pada 2019 lembaga ini resmi bertransformasi

dari PKPU Human Initiative menjadi Human

Initiative.

Not only active in distributing aids, the social activists highlighted low-economy community who needed help by preparing programs to alleviate poverty. They considered that there was a need of programs to alleviate the dependence of the underprivileged people towards independence. This initiated the establishment of PKPU Foundation. Further, PKPU Foundation was determined as a National Zakat Management Agency on October 8th, 2001 based on the Decree of the Ministry of Religious Affairs No. 441.

In the course of PKPU’s experiences in the management of humanitarian aid, it increased its capacity in terms of human resources. PKPU’s interaction developed and widened. Not only domestically, their relation with international agencies strengthened. In July 22nd, 2008, PKPU was registered in the United Nations as an NGO with Special Consultative Status with the Economic Social Council. Two years later, PKPU was officially registered as a National Social Agency based on the decree of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights No. 08/Huk/2010 on January 29, 2010.

Ten months later, PKPU was registered in the European Union with the registration number Europe Aid ID No. 2010-CSD-1203198618 on October 8th, 2010. The important journey of this agency was written in the beginning of 2016, by spinning-off the agency. After the spin-off, PKPU focused in managing humanitarian fund and changed its name into PKPU The Human Initiative. This foundation chose to focus on humanitarian programs. Managing zakat, infaq and charity was transferred to another agency. In 2019, this agency was officially transformed from PKPU The Human Initiative to The Human Initiative.

A. Initiative For Disaster Management

The National Disaster Management Authority (BNPB) recorded 3,768 natural disasters such as hydro-meteorology and geological occurred in Indonesia in 2019. Most of disasters were hydrometeorological disasters. As for geological, there were not a great number but their impact was significant. Natural disasters that have hit various regions in Indonesia were flood, landslides, earthquakes, forest and land fires, tornadoes, drought and abrasion.

Badan Nasional Penanggulangan Bencana (BNPB) mencatat 3.768 bencana alam berupa bencana hidrometeorologi dan geologi terjadi di Indonesia sepanjang 2019. Mayoritas bencana didominasi jenis bencana hidrometeorologi. Adapun bencana geologi meski tidak banyak terjadi namun tetap berdampak signifikan. Ragam bencana yang melanda berbagai wilayah di Indonesia di antaranya banjir, tanah longsor, gempa bumi, kebakaran hutan dan lahan, angin puting beliung, kekeringan, dan abrasi.

Flood and LandslidesBanjir dan Tanah Longsor

There were 13 cases that hit Indonesia in 2019. Flood in South Sulawesi that hit 13 regencies and cities on January 22nd, 2019 was categorized as a major disaster. The disaster claimed tens casualties and some people were missing. Hundreds of houses were damaged, and thousands of people were forced to evacuate. This flood in South Sulawesi was recorded as the worst flood in the last decade.

The 13 regencies and cities in the Province of South Sulawesi had to suffer from material and immaterial loss. The Human Initiative responded to the flood to help the victims in the Regency of Jeneponto. The Human Initiative deployed an emergency response team and distributed aids in the form of health services, water kitchens, public kitchens, cooking sets, hygiene kits, school kits and other urgent needs. The aid from the Human Initiative targeted 1,122 beneficiaries in the Regency of Jeneponto.

Ada 13 kasus bencana besar yang melanda sepanjang 2019. Banjir di Sulawesi Selatan yang melanda 13 kabupaten dan kota pada 22 Januari 2019 termasuk kategori bencana besar. Akibat bencana itu puluhan orang meninggal dunia dan hilang, ratusan rumah rusak, dan ribuan orang terpaksa mengungsi. Banjir di Sulawesi Selatan ini tercatat sebagai banjir terparah dalam satu dekade terakhir

Kerugian material dan immaterial ditanggung oleh 13 Kabupaten dan Kota di Provinsi Sulawesi Selatan. Human Initiative merespon banjir Sulawesi Selatan ini khususnya untuk korban di Kabupaten Jeneponto. Human Initiative menerjunkan tim tanggap darurat dan juga telah menyalurkan bantuan berupa layanan kesehatan, dapur air, dapur umum, cooking set, hygiene kits, school kits dan kebutuhan mendesak lainnya. Bantuan dari Human Initiative menyasar 1.122 penerima manfaat yang berada di Kabupaten Jeneponto.

A day after the flood, a Rescue Team was deployed to Sentani. Volunteers from The Human Initiative Rescue Team coordinated with the BNPB, the local government, and several agencies to take emergency responses and prepare the distribution of aids in form of basic food packages and hygiene kits.

Sehari setelah bencana terjadi, Tim Rescue telah diterjunkan ke Sentani. Relawan dalam Tim Rescue Human Initiative berkoordinasi dengan BNPB, pemerintah setempat, dan sejumlah organisasi dalam aksi-aksi tanggap darurat serta persiapan penyaluran bantuan berupa paket sembako dan hygiene kit.

In the same month, it was the Regency of Bandung, West Java which suffered from flood. Five districts from the Regency of Bandung were hit by the flood with three districts were severely damaged. The Human Initiative Team distributed help in form of food item, clean water or portable kitchen and logistic help. Another flood where The Human Initiative rescue team was deployed was the one in Bengkulu in April 2019.

Di bulan yang sama giliran Kabupaten Bandung Jawa Barat yang dilanda banjir. Lima kecamatan di Kabupaten Bandung diterjang banjir dengan tiga kecamatan dalam kondisi cukup parah. Tim Human Initiative menyalurkan bantuan berupa food item, distribusi bantuan air bersih atau dapur air, dan bantuan logistik. Banjir lain yang direspon oleh Human Initiative dengan menerjunkan tim tanggap darurat adalah banjir di Bengkulu pada April 2019.

After the flood in South Sulawesi, flood occurred again in other regions. The Human Initiative deployed its team in one of disasters where the impact caused casualties in great number which was the flash flood in the Sentani District, Jayapura Regency, Papua, on March 18, 2019. According to the National Disaster Management Authority (BNPB), the cause of the flash flood was the landslide in the upper stream of the river. The disasters claimed lives, some victims were seriously and lightly injured, thousands were forced to evacuate, and some regions were isolated.

Pascabanjir di Sulawesi Selatan, banjir terjadi

kembali di berbagai wilayah. Human Initiative

menerjunkan tim di salah satu bencana yang

berdampak munculnya korban jiwa dalam jumlah

besar yaitu banjir bandang di Distrik Sentani,

Kabupaten Jayapura, Papua pada 18 Maret 2019.

Menurut Badan Nasional Penanggulangan

Bencana (BNPB) penyebab banjir bandang adalah

tanah longsor di bagian hulu sungai. Akibat

bencana ini puluhan orang meninggal, luka berat

dan ringan, ribuan orang terpaksa mengungsi, dan

beberapa daerah terisolir.

It weakened the economy of Riau, schools and the airport were closed and thousands of people suffered from acute respiratory infections. The Pekanbaru Human Initiative volunteer team responded at the very beginning of the fire. The Human Initiative distributed masks, conducted medical check-up and distributed free medicine while coordinating with other parties, i.e., the BPPD, local government (Head of village), and health service in the affected location.

In Pekanbaru City, the Human Initiative team distributed 1,000 masks. In the addition to the said aids, in four districts in the Regency of Pelawan, the team distributed N95 masks and organized medical check-ups and distributed free medicine.

Dampaknya perekonomian Riau lumpuh, sekolah diliburkan, bandara ditutup, dan ribuan warga terjangkit Infeksi Saluran Pernafasan Akut (ISPA). Tim relawan Human Initiative Pekanbaru telah melakukan respons sejak awal terjadi Karhutla. Respons yang dilakukan berupa berbagi masker, pelayanan pemeriksaan kesehatan dan pengobatan gratis, serta berkoordinasi dengan berbagai pihak yaitu BPPD, pemerintahan setempat (Kades), dan Puskesmas di lokasi terdampak.

Di Kota Pekanbaru tim Human Initiative mendistribusikan 1.000 masker. Selain bantuan tadi, di empat kecamatan di Kabupaten Pelawan tim menyalurkan masker N95 dan menggelar layanan kesehatan dan pengobatan gratis.

Smog from forest and land fires (Karhutla) in Riau occurs recurrently every year. In 2019, forest fire in Riau hit 6,464 acres. This was the worst since 2015. The fire took place in five regencies and cities: Rokan Hilir Regency, Bengkalis Regency, Dumai City, Kampar Regency, and Pekanbaru City. The widest fire took place in the Regency of Rokan Hilir, i.e., 82 acres.

Kabut asap kebakaran hutan dan lahan (Karhutla) di Riau selalu terulang setiap tahun. Pada 2019 Karhutla di Riau mencapai 6.464 hektar lahan. Ini Karhutla terparah sepanjang 2015-2019. Karhutla terjadi di lima kabupaten dan kota yaitu Kabupaten Rokan Hilir, Kabupaten Bengkalis, Kota Dumai, Kabupaten Kampar, dan Kota Pekanbaru. Karhutla paling luas terjadi di Kabupaten Rokan Hilir yakni 82 hektar.

The voluntaeer team from the Human Initiative arrived at the location on Day 3. Many locations could only be reached by sea due to limited land routes. This was the obstacle in reaching the affected location. On the location, the response team from The Human Initiative distributed aids in form of ready-made food, basic food ingredients, clean water, mats, blankets and medicines.

Ini membuat kendala dalam menjangkau lokasi bencana. Di lokasi ini tim tanggap darurat Human Initiative menyalurkan distribusi bantuan berupa makanan capat saji, bahan makanan pokok, air bersih, tikar, selimut dan obat-obatan.

After the rainy season in the mid of 2019, it was an earthquake that hit South Halmahera, Province of Maluku Utara on Monday, July 14, 2019. A 7.2 SR earthquake hit South Halmahera claiming lives and forcing 2,000 people to evacuate in 14 evacuation points. People’s panic remained since after the major one, aftershocks occurred up to 65 times with an average depth of 10-15 kilometers.

Setelah musim hujan mereda di pertengahan 2019, giliran gempa bumi melanda Halmahera Selatan, Provinsi Maluku Utara pada Ahad 14 Juli 2019. Gempa berkekuatan 7,2 skala richter mengguncang wilayah Halmahera Selatan dan mengakibatkan korban meninggal dunia dan lebih dari 2.000 warga mengungsi yang tersebar di 14 titik pengungsian. Kepanikan masyarakat terus melekat sebab pascagempa utama, gempa susulan terjadi hingga 65 kali dengan kedalaman rata-rata 10-15 kilometer.

Gempa bumi terjadi kembali lagi di Indonesia bagian timur. Kali ini gempa bumi berkuatan 6,5 skala richter mengguncang Pulau Ambon dan Pulau Seram Provinsi Maluku pada 26 September 2019. Pusat gempa berjarak 42 kilometer sebelah timur laut Kota Ambon dengan kedalaman 10 kilometer.

Another earthquake took place in the eastern part of Indonesia. A 6,5 SR earthquake hit Ambon Island and Seram Island, the Province of Maluku on September 26, 2019. The epicenter was 42 kilometers at the northeast of Ambon City with a depth of 10 kilometers.

Guncangan gempa bumi ini dirasakan sebagian besar masyarakat di Pulau Ambon dan Pulau Seram. Guncangan terkuat dirasakan di Kota Ambon, Salahutu, Amalatu dan Kairatu. Lindu juga dirasakan hingga Banda, Maluku Tengah. Gempa bumi ini mengakibatkan 23 orang meninggal dunia, satu diantaranya tertimbun longsor juga menyebabkan puluhan bangunan rusak di antaranya di Kecamatan Salahutu, kampus Universitas Pattimura, kampus IAIN Ambon dan Bandar Udara Internasional Pattimura.

Most of the people in Ambon and Seram Islands felt the earthquake shocks. The strongest shocks were felt in the cities of Ambon, Salahutu, Amalatu and Kairatu. The earthquake was also felt up to Banda, Central Maluku. It claimed 23 lives, one of whom was buried by the landslides and damaged dozens of buildings, including in Salahutu District, Pattimura University campus, IAIN Ambon, and Pattimura International Airport.

After North Maluku, earthquake occurred in the western part of Java Island. On August 2nd, 2019, a 7.4 SR earthquake with an epicenter of 10 km at the coordinates of 7.45 South Latitude - 104.58 East Longitude, stunned the residents of Pandeglang, the Province of Banten. This earthquake had the potential for a tsunami, so the local government urged the community to immediately evacuate to a higher place. This tsunami early warning was responded to by The Human Initiative, which deployed a rapid response team from the head office and West Java branch offices to help evacuate the community to a safer place.

Setelah Maluku Utara, gempa bumi terjadi kembali di bagian barat Pulau Jawa. Pada 2 Agustus 2019 gempa bumi berkekuatan 7,4 Skala Richter dengan kedalaman 10 Kilometer berpusat di koordinat 7,45 Lintang Selatan - 104,58 Bujur Timur, menghentak masyarakat Pandeglang Provinsi Banten. Gempa bumi ini berpotensi tsunami sehingga pemerintah setempat menghimbau masyarakat untuk segera mengungsi ke tempat yang lebih tinggi. Peringatan dini tsunami ini ditanggapi oleh Human Initiative yang menerjunkan tim respon cepat dari kantor pusat dan kantor cabang Jawa Barat untuk membantu mengevakuasi masyarakat ke tempat yang lebih aman.

Selain merespon bencana gempa bumi yang terjadi pada 2019, Human Initiative juga melanjutkan program penanganan pascabencana gempa bumi gempa bumi, tsunami, dan likuefaksi yang terjadi di Sulawesi Tengah pada 2018. Skala bencana yang besar dengan meninggalkan korban dan kerugian di sana-sini, mengharuskan program pemulihan berkesinambungan. Human Initiative bersama Catholic Relief Service menggulirkan program untuk memulihkan kehidupan para penyintas bencana sejak Oktober 2018 hingga Desember 2019. Kerjasama lintas sektoral bertujuan membantu penyintas di Kabupaten Donggala, Kota Palu dan Kabupaten Sigi untuk dapat memenuhi kebutuhan dasar.

Aside from responding to the 2019 earthquake, the Human Initiative continued the program handling the recovery after the earthquake, tsunami, and liquefaction that took place in Central Sulawesi in 2018. The great scale of the disaster causing life loss and material loss forced a continuous recovery program. The Human Initiative along with the Catholic Relief Service organized a program to recover the survivors from October 2018 to December 2019. Cross-sectoral cooperation was intended to help the survivors in the Regency of Donggala, the City of Palu and the Regency of Sigi to meet their basic needs.

The Human Initiative distributed aid in form of food items, established portable kitchen posts and carried out psychosocial programs to ease the burden on survivors scattered in various points. 1,061 beneficiaries in 7 evacuation points have benefited the aids from The Human Initiative.

Human Initiative menyalurkan bantuan berupa Food Item, mendirikan pos dapur air dan melaksanakan program psikososial untuk meringankan beban penyintas yang tersebar di berbagai titik. Sebanyak 1.061 jiwa penerima manfaat yang tersebar di tujuh titik pengungsian telah merasakan bantuan dari Human Initiative.

Wamena Riot Emergency ResponseTanggap Darurat Kerusuhan Wamena

A social conflict occurred in Wamena, Papua, on September 23, 2019. Arson burned 10 offices, 351 shop houses, 150 motorbikes, 100 cars, 27 houses and 1 market. Thousands of non-natives and Papuans had to flee. The City Hall of Jayawijaya was also burned. The cause of this conflict was allegedly due to a racial comment from a teacher at SMA PGRI Wamena. The school had tried to mediate the students and the teacher to settle. Unfortunately, the racial expression had spread and triggered anarchy.

Konflik sosial terjadi di Wamena, Papua pada 23 September 2019. Aksi pembakaran mengakibatkan hangusnya 10 kantor, 351 ruko, 150 motor, 100 mobil, 27 rumah, dan 1 pasar. Ribuan warga pendatang dan warga papua mengungsi. Kantor Bupati Jayawijaya bahkan tak luput dibakar masa. Konflik sosial bermula karena dugaan ucapan rasis oleh seorang guru di SMA PGRI Wamena. Pihak sekolah telah berupaya memediasi para pelajar dan guru untuk saling memaafkan. Apa lacur, kalimat bernada rasis terlanjur menyebar luas dan memicu aksi anarkis.

The students were gathered in front of the school demanding the school management to solve the alleged racial comment and were getting emotional. The protest continued to the City Hall. The arrest of the protesters by the police added the complexity of the problem. The protests grew and could not be stopped. The first fire was set on 9 in the morning in Wamena destroying shops, followed by another fire at STISIP Amal Ilmiah Yapis Wamena. They claimed lives. The local government stated that there were 33 victims. 25 were not native Papua.

Para pelajar yang berkumpul di gerbang sekolah menuntut manajemen sekolah menyelesaikan tuduhan ujaran rasis, tersulut emosinya. Aksi protes berbelok ke kantor Bupati. Sempat diwarnai penangkapan pada kelompok yang protes oleh apparat menambah pelik persoalan. Aksi protes membesar dan tak terbendung. Blarrr…. api pertama berkobar sekitar jam 9 pagi di Wamena menggasak bangunan ruko, disusul api di STISIP Amal Ilmiah Yapis Wamena. Korban berjatuhan. Pemerintah setempat menyatakan korban mencapai 33 orang meninggal. Sebanyak 25 korban meninggal adalah warga pendatang.

Responding a social conflict is not the same as handling a natural disaster. We need to be careful in determining the steps to be taken. The principles valued by the Human Initiative in handling Wamena social conflict was do not hurt, meaning that the aids provided should not trigger a new conflict.

Merespon bencana berupa konflik sosial sangat berbeda dengan penanganan bencana alam. Perlu kehati-hatian dalam menentukan langkah apa yang akan diambil. Prinsip yang dipegang Human Initiative dalam penanganan konflik sosial Wamena adalah do no hurt artinya bantuan yang digulirkan jangan sampai memberikan efek konflik yang berkelanjutan atau memicu konflik baru.

In responding the conflict in Wamena, the Human Initiative maintained the coordination with the local government. The aid distribution was conducted symbolically. The reason was that if the aid had been distributed in person, it would have added to suspicion from the local people to new comers.

Pada saat melakukan respon terhadap konflik di Wamena, Human Initiative sangat menjaga koordinasi dengan pemerintah setempat. Distribusi bantuan pun dilakukan dengan simbolik. Alasannya jika bantuan disalurkan secara langsung khawatir menambah kecurigaan warga lokal terhadap warga pendatang.

In handling the social conflict in Wamena, the aid needed was to facilitate the affected residents who were mostly non-native to return to their homeland. For those who had arrived to their homeland, The Human Initiative provided them with capital to ease their economy condition.

Dalam penanganan konflik sosial di Wamena, bantuan yang sangat diperlukan adalah mempermudah warga terdampak yang merupakan warga pendatang Wamena untuk kembali ke daerahnya masing-masing. Untuk warga terdampak yang sudah sampai di daerah asalnya, Human Initiative memberikan bantuan modal untuk ikut meringankan ekonominya.

can donate starting from Rp25 to 100

thousand with various options of

payment method. This facilitates people

to donate.

Donasi awal datang dari Karang Taruna Keagungan Jakarta Barat. Donasi sebesar Rp 10,9 juta diberikan langsung oleh pemangku Karang Taruna Kelurahan Keagungan Jakarta Barat. Selain itu Human Initiative juga menggalang dana masyarakat Indonesia melalui platform ecommerce Tokopedia. Pengguna Tokopedia dapat berdonasi mulai dari nominal Rp 25 – 100 ribu dengan berbagai pilihan metode pembayaran. Ini memudahkan masyarakat untuk berdonasi.

No tsunami took place in 2019. The last

tsunami occurred in the Sunda Strait at

the end of 2018. However, the handling

and recovery of victims took place in

2019. The Human Initiative distributed

aid packages for victims of the Sunda

Strait tsunami to several locations in the

Banten area.

Tidak ada bencana tsunami pada 2019. Bencana tsunami terakhir terjadi di pesisir Selat Sunda pada akhir 2018. Namun penanganan dan pemulihan korban berlangsung pada 2019. Human Initiative menyalurkan paket bantuan untuk para korban tsunami Selat Sunda ke beberapa lokasi di wilayah Banten.

Desa Tanjung Jaya, Pandeglag, Banten on

February 23, 2019.

2019 was the year of humanity collaboration for the Human Initiative. In collaboration with Dompet Dhuafa, Rumah Zakat, and Nurul Hayat, the Human Initiative built a school in the West Bank of Palestine. One of the activities in this synergy was a Charity Concert for Palestine entitled “Voice of Children” in Balai Kartini, South Jakarta. This synergy was the spirit of humanity to build a better Palestine with educational program, that was Indonesian School for Palestine.

Tahun 2019 merupakan tahun terwujudnya humanity collaboration bagi Human Initiative. Bersama Dompet Dhuafa, Rumah Zakat, dan Nurul Hayat, Human Initiative bersinergi membangun sekolah di Tepi Barat Palestina. Salah satu kegiatan dari sinergi ini yaitu pada Juni 2019 diadakan Konser Amal Palestina Bertajuk ‘Voice of Children’ di Balai Kartini, Jakarta Selatan. Sinergi ini merupakan semangat kemanusiaan untuk membangun Palestina yang lebih baik melalui program pendidikan yaitu Sekolah Indonesia untuk Palestina.

The building was bought and renovated and transformed into a school with a standard design of an inclusive school. The Indonesian School for Palestine would welcome 200 students both with normal physical conditions and with special needs such as visual impairment or hearing loss.

Gedung yang sudah dibeli kemudian direnovasi menjadi sebuah sekolah dengan standar rancangan sekolah inklusif. Kelak gedung Sekolah Indonesia untuk Palestina ini akan mengakomodasi 200 siswa dengan kondisi fisik normal maupun dengan kondisi fisik berkebutuhan khusus seperti siswa yang mengalami gangguan penglihatan atau kehilangan pendengaran.

Indonesian School of Palestine Program started with the purchasing of a building in the region of Ras Al Amood, Jerusalem, West Bank of Palestine, which was then enlisted as a waqf object. This building was located about 1.5 km from the Al Aqsa Mosque, with an area of 660 m2 land and 190m2 building.

Program Sekolah Indonesia untuk Palestina dimulai dari pembelian sebuah gedung di kawasan Ras Al Amood, Jerusalem, Tepi Barat Palestina, yang kemudian didaftarkan sebagai objek wakaf. Gedung ini berjarak sekitar 1,5 km dari Masjid Al-Aqsa, dengan luas tanah 660 m2 dan luas bangunan 190 m2

As for the detail of this program, it is conducted in several phases:

A. Purchasing and registering the land and the building as waqf object enlisting the school to the Iocal authority;B. Building renovation, provision of school equipment and tools;C. School opening followed by teaching learning activities;D. Application of the new school system in the Al Quds City as a school comfortable for students with special needs.

Secara lebih terperinci, program ini dilaksanakan melalui beberapa tahapan sebagai berikut:1. Pembelian dan pendaftaran sebagai objek wakaf untuk bangunan dan tanah serta pendaftaran legalitas sekolah kepada otoritas pemerintah setempat;2. Renovasi bangunan, penyediaan perlengkapan dan peralatan sekolah;3. Pembukaan sekolah yang dilanjutkan dengan aktivitas belajar mengajar;4. Penerapan sistem sekolah terbaru di Kota Al Quds yaitu sebagai sekolah yang nyaman bagi siswa berkebutuhan khusus.

The beneficiaries of the Indonesian School for Palestine are children in the Al Quds area having difficulty to access proper education for elementary and secondary education level. The purposes of the program were:

1. To provide a new school building with quality for Palestinian children in the Al-Quds area;2. To provide special services for children with special needs in Jerusalem so that they can complete their education;3. To apply safety and security standard in the new school during the process building renovation to provide a safe environment and be aligned with the students’ needs;4. To keep the ownership of the land located at the heart of Jerusalem and near the Al Aqsa Mosque by registering the building and the land to the local Islamic Waqf Department.

Penerima manfaat dari program Sekolah Indonesia untuk Palestina adalah anak-anak di wilayah Al Quds yang kesulitan mendapatkan akses pendidikan yang layak dengan jenjang pendidikan Sekolah Dasar dan Sekolah Menengah. Tujuan program yaitu:a. Menyediakan gedung sekolah baru yang berkualitas untuk anak-anak Palestina di kawasan Al Quds;b. Memberikan pelayanan khusus kepada anak-anak berkebutuhan khusus di Yerusalem, sehingga mereka dapat menyelesaikan jenjang pendidikan merka;c. Menerapkan standar keselamatan dan keamanan di sekolah baru saat proses renovasi gedung untuk menyediakan lingkungan yang aman dan sesuai dengan kebutuhan para siswa;d. Mempertahankan kepemilikan tanah yang terletak di jantung Yerusalem dan dekat masjid Al Aqsa dengan cara mendaftarkan bangunan dan tanah ke Departemen Wakaf Islam setempat.

Humanitarian tragedy continues for the Rohingya in Myanmar. The international media and human right organization describe Rohingya as one of the most persecuted ethnic minorities in the world. To avoid violence in their region, many Rohingya have fled to slum area and refugee camps in neighboring countries such as Bangladesh.

Tragedi kemanusiaan masih berlanjut pada etnis Rohingya di Myanmar. Media internasional dan organisasi hak asasi manusia menggambarkan Rohingya sebagai salah satu etnis minoritas yang paling teraniaya di dunia. Untuk menghindari kekerasan di daerahnya, banyak orang-orang Rohingya yang melarikan diri ke pemukiman-pemukiman kumuh dan kamp-kamp pengungsi di negara tetangga; Bangladesh.

The Human Initiative has routinely run aid programs for the Rohingya community since 2012. Assistance in the form of food, housing, and schools spread across Myanmar to Bangladesh, where many Rohingya refugees live. Nearly USD 2 million or equivalent to Rp 26 billion was disbursed for Rohingya assistance program.

Human Initiative masih rutin menggulirkan program bantuan untuk masyarakat Rohingya sejak 2012. Bantuan berupa pangan, papan, hingga sekolahan yang tersebar di Myanmar hingga Bangladesh, tempat pengungsi Rohingya banyak bermukim. Hampir USD 2 juta atau sekitar Rp 26 miliar dana

This aid did not include Qurban which normally reached 50 cows per year. In 2019, there were 89 qurban cows for Rohingya people. As for temporary settlement area in Bangladesh, it continues to be constructed. Along with this construction, the Human Initiative also distributed food aid and help to construct a semi-permanent school.Bantuan tersebut belum termasuk kurban yang biasanya mencapai 50 ekor sapi per tahun. Bahkan pada 2019 kurban sapi mencapai 89 ekor untuk masyarakat Rohingya. Adapun pembangunan hunian sementara (huntara) masih berlangsung untuk pengungsi Rohingya di Bangladesh. Seiring dengan pendirian huntara, Human Initiative juga mendistribusikan bantuan pangan sekaligus pendirian sekolah semi permanen.

Building school for Rohingya in Myanmar needs to be careful. School construction is the only help of which the obstacles can be overcome. It is very difficult to distribute help to Rohingya in Myanmar. It is very dangerous to publicly help the Rohingya. But the obstacles do not stop us to continue to help Rohingya people. In 2019, the Human Initiative would start construct another school in Myanmar for the Rohingya. This is a long-term program planned until 2024.

Untuk sekolah warga Rohingya di Myanmar perlu kehati-hatian. Bantuan berupa pendirian sekolah adalah satu-satunya bantuan yang kendalanya bisa teratasi. Cukup sulit untuk menyalurkan bantuan ke penduduk Rohingya di Myanmar. Faktor keamanan cukup rawan jika memaksakan atau terang-terangan membantu orang Rohingya. Namun kendala itu tidak menyurutkan untuk terus membantu warga Rohingya setiap tahun. Pada 2019 Human Initiative akan memulai membangun sekolah lagi di Myanmar untuk warga Rohingya. Ini adalah program jangka panjang hingga 2024

Since the boreholes was built in the beginning of 2018 in the regions of Bal’ad, Afgoy and Arabsiyo, the local people has been able to get its benefits. The land and plants surrounding the boreholes thrive and can provide good and clean water reserves for residents. In 2019, The Human Initiative inaugurate 4th Artesis Well Boreholes in Bone Village, Ba’adwein District, Province of Mudug, Somalia. Prior to this, 23 spots for well construction were built with a medium depth of 20 - 30 meters in Somalia, especially in remote area and villages. The inauguration was attended and inaugurated by the Deputy Governor of the Mudug Puntland Province, Somalia, i.e., Mohammad Hassan. Also present in the inauguration were the Regent of Harfo, local community leaders and local residents.

Sejak sumur Borehole dibangun awal 2018 di wilayah Bal’ad, Afgoy, dan Arabsiyo, kini warga setempat telah merasakan manfaatnya. Tanah dan tanaman sekitar sumur Borehole tumbuh subur dan dapat memberikan cadangan makanan serta air bersih untuk warga. Berlanjut pada 2019, Human Initiative meresmikan Borehole Sumur Artesis ke 4 di Desa Bone, Distrik Ba'adwein, Provinsi Mudug, Somalia. Sebelumnya, telah dibangun 23 titik sumur dengan kedalaman sedang (20-30 meter) di wilayah Somalia terutama wilayah pelosok dan perkampungan. Peresmian dihadiri dan diresmikan oleh Wakil Gubernur Provinsi Mudug Puntland, Somalia, yaitu Mohammad Hasan. Hadir juga Bupati Distrik Harfo, para tokoh masyarakat setempat, serta warga sekitar.

Somalis have different issues than Rohingya. The Somalis experience endless drought. Since, 2010, Somalians had experienced long-lasting drought. With the vision to develop independence, the Human Initiative created a sustainable program as a solution to drought. Water Life is a long-term program of the Human Initiative to overcome drought and food crisis in Somalia. It does not only meet clean water provision, water from Boreholes is also used to water the community's farms and gardens.

Lain Rohingya, lain lagi persoalan warga Somalia. Di sana warga dilanda bencana kekeringan tak berkesudahan. Sejak 2010 krisis kekeringan berkepanjangan melanda wilayah Somalia. Dengan visi membangun kemandirian, Human Initiative membuat program berkelanjutan sebagai solusi bencana kekeringan. Water for Life merupakan program jangka panjang Human Initiative untuk mengatasi bencana kekeringan dan krisis pangan di Somalia. Tak hanya memenuhi persediaan air bersih, air dari sumur Borehole juga digunakan untuk mengairi kebun dan taman milik warga.

An artesian well was built in drought area far from access to clean water, which is about 600 km from Mogadishu. It is located on a waqf land from a local resident with an area of 600 x 100 m2. After several years of operation, on the land surrounding the well, plants grow well like those surrounding the other three wells. The local named this artesian well “Dur-dur Water Well”. Dur-dur in local language means everlasting.

Sumur artesis dibangun di lokasi kekeringan yang jauh dari akses air bersih, yaitu sekitar 600 km dari Mogadishu. Berdiri di atas tanah wakaf penduduk lokal seluas 600 x 100 meter persegi. Setelah beberapa tahun Sumur Borehole ini beroperasi, tanah-tanah sekitar tumbuh tanaman dengan subur sebagaimana yang terjadi pada lokasi-lokasi tiga sumur sebelumnya. Warga setempat menamai sumur artesis ini dengan ‘Dur-Dur Water Well’, Dur-Dur diambil dari bahasa lokal artinya air yang tidak akan pernah habis.

Built with a depth of 280 meters, the artesian well will provide clean water reserves to face long-lasting drought. It is equipped with a solar cell, generator machine, a 25-meter water tower, a reservoir, water taps for residents, three drinking tanks for livestock, and pipes for irrigation channels.

Dibangun dengan kedalaman 280 meter, sumur artesis akan memenuhi cadangan air bersih untuk menghadapi kekeringan jangka panjang. Dilengkapi panel tenaga surya atau solar cell, mesin generator, tower air 25 meter, bak penampungan, keran pengambilan air untuk warga, tiga bak minum untuk ternak, dan pipa untuk saluran irigasi.

There are 80,000 residents including IDPs or local refugees who can access the well directly within this program. Ada sekitar 80.000 warga termasuk IDPs atau pengungsi lokal yang akan mendapatkan akses langsung terhadap sumur program ini. Mereka adalah pemukim yang mendiami desa-desa sekitarnya antara radius 1 - 6 kilometer dari area sumur artesis atau Borehole. Selain itu dapat menghidupi hewan ternak sapi, domba, keledai, onta dan menyuburkan kebun dan taman yang mampu memenuhi persediaan makanan bagi warga Somalia. Diharapkan program ‘Water for Life’ ini terus didukung oleh masyarakat Indonesia dan menjadi bagian dari bentuk kontribusi Indonesia dalam gerakan kemanusiaan dunia.

Dalam merespon setiap bencana Human Initiative membangun komunikasi lewat media mainstream dan media sosial lewat tagar Solusi Peduli. Dalam implementasinya, solusi peduli juga dipilih menjadi nama salah satu platform digital Human Initiative. Ini adalah platform yang didirikan untuk menyuguhkan informasi terkait program sekaligus penggalangan dana secara retail (crowd funding) yang dihimpun Human Initiative. Di website solusipeduli.org para donatur bisa mengawasi jumlah bantuan sekaligus distribusi bantuan. Selama tiga tahun solusi peduli ini digaungkan, terhitung Rp 10 miliar telah terhimpun donasi dari masyarakat.

B. Project Management

Project management is a new division, one of the breakthroughs from the Human Initiative, whose purpose is to improve the quality of humanitarian programs. The department was established as a response to strengthen The Human Initiative collaboration with other agency partners.

Project manajemen adalah divisi baru sebagai terobosan Human Initiative yang bertujuan menambah kualitas program kemanusiaan. Departemen ini dibentuk sebagai respon untuk menguatkan kolaborasi Human Initiative dengan mitra lembaga lain.

The role of the project management is to work on advanced programs after the initial program has been conducted. For example, during the Palu earthquake. The program started with emergency response of which the implementation was conducted by Initiative for Disaster. After the period of response was over, the next program was recovery. The programs run during recovery period was a program run by the Department of Project Management.

Peran project manajemen adalah mengerjakan program lanjutan setelah program awal usai. Misalnya gempa bumi Palu. Awal program adalah aksi tanggap darurat yang pelaksanaannya diperankan oleh Initiative for Disaster. Setelah masa tanggap darurat berakhir program selanjutnya adalah recovery. Nah, program-program yang bergulir pada masa recovery adalah program yang dikelola oleh Departemen Project Manajemen.

The ideal is that the project management also runs advanced program that is not only Initiative for Disaster, but also in Initiative for Empowerment and Initiative for Children. Recovery fromEarthquake in Central SulawesiPemulihan Gempa di Sulawesi Tengah

Central Sulawesi Earthquake occurred on September 28th, 2018 at 18.02 WITA. The 7.4 SR earthquake was followed by 5-meter tsunami that hit the west coast of the Sulawesi Island. The epicenter of the earthquake was 26 kilometers north of Donggala and 80 kilometers northwest of Palu City, Central Sulawesi with a depth of 10 kilometers. The area heavily impacted by the earthquake were Donggala Regency, Palu City, and Sigi Regency.

Gempa bumi Sulawesi Tengah terjadi pada 28 September 2018 pukul 18.02 WITA. Gempa berkekuatan 7,4 skala richter diikuti tsunami setinggi 5 meter yang menerjang pantai barat Pulau Sulawesi. Pusat gempa berada di 26 kilometer utara Donggala dan 80 kilometer barat laut Kota Palu Sulawesi Tengah dengan kedalaman 10 kilometer. Wilayah terparah akibat guncangan lindu terjadi di Kabupaten Donggala, Kota Palu, dan Kabupaten Sigi.

A few moments after the peak of the earthquake took place, signs of liquefaction (soil liquefaction) appeared claiming many lives and materials. Two areas experiencing liquefaction were Kelurahan Petobo and Perumnas Balaroa in the City of Palu. At the time of liquefaction, there was an increase and decrease of earth surface. Some parts experienced a decrease of five meters and other parts experienced an increase of two meters.

Beberapa saat setelah puncak gempa berlangsung muncul gejala likuifaksi (pencairan tanah) yang memakan banyak korban jiwa dan material. Dua tempat yang mengalami likuifaksi adalah Kelurahan Petobo dan Perumnas Balaroa di Kota Palu. Saat terjadi likuifaksi terjadi kenaikan dan penurunan muka tanah. Beberapa bagian amblas lima meter dan beberapa bagian lain naik sampai dua meter.

In Petobe, hundred of houses were covered with black mud as deep as 3 - 5 meters. After the earthquake stopped, the earth was turned into mud. After a few moments, the earth turned into mud moving and dragging the buildings on top of it. In Balaroa, houses were sucked into the ground. Other than these two regions, liquefaction also took place at the border of Sigi Regency and the City of Palu. Mud emerged from under the surface of the ground and shifted the ground for tens of meters and eventually drowned buildings and victims alive. The liquefaction drowned around 2,400 housing units, tens of people died, and infrastructure such as roads was heavily damaged.

Di Petobo ratusan rumah tertimbun lumpur hitam setinggi 3-5 meter. Setelah gempa mereda tanah berubah jadi lumpur. Sejurus kemudian tanah yang sudah berubah jadi lumpur bergerak dan menyeret bangunan di atasnya. Di Balaroa, rumah amblas seperti terisap ke tanah. Tidak hanya di dua daerah tadi, likuifaksi juga muncul di perbatasan Kabupaten Sigi dengan Kota Palu. Lumpur muncul dari bawah permukaan tanah dan menggeser tanah hingga puluhan meter dan akhirnya menenggelamkan bangunan dan korban hidup-hidup. Likuifaksi yang terjadi menenggelamkan sekitar 2400 unit rumah, puluhan meninggal dunia, dan infrastruktur seperti jalan mengalami rusak parah.

The post-earthquake, tsunami, and liquefaction handling and recovery were not completed that same year. Recovery is still ongoing today. Including the recovery carried out by the Human Initiative. In 2019, the Human Initiative distributed its aid managed by the Management Project. For its implementation, the Human Initiative sent two volunteers to lead the recovery program, Muhammad and Jawad and Aldi Surya. For Recovery Program, the Human Initiative collaborated with Care International, Catholic Relief Service (CRS), and Islamic Relief Indonesia.

Penanganan dan pemulihan pascabencana gempa bumi, tsunami, dan likuifaksi ini tak selesai dikerjakan pada tahun itu juga. Recovery masih berlangsung hingga sekarang. Termasuk recovery yang dilakukan Human Initiative. Pada 2019 Human Initiative mendistribusikan bantuannya yang dikelola oleh Project Manajemen. Dalam pelaksanaannya Human Initiative mengirimkan dua relawan gaek untuk memimpin program recovery tersebut yaitu Muhammad Jawad dan Aldi Surya. Program recovery Human Initiative berkolaborasi dengan Care International, Catholic Relief Service (CRS), dan Islamic Relief Indonesia.

Programs collaborating with Care International and CRS were managed by Muhammad Jawad. In the beginning of 2019, programs were still dominated by programs that were emergency, fulfillment of people's basic needs, and construction of temporary settlement area.

Muhammad Jawad completed the program of basic need fulfillment by distributing relief items, shelters, WASH, and Cash Based Assistance/Multipurpose Cash Assistance. The 43-year-old man was total in leading the recovery of earthquake, tsunami and liquefaction in Central Sulawesi. Leaving his wife and family behind, the man originated from Jogjakarta had been in Palu for one month after the disaster took place.

The distribution of relief items was intended

the packages were distributed in the region

Total Rumah Senyum yang dibangun mencapai 500 unit tersebar di 10 desa di Kabupaten Donggala, Sigi, dan Kota Palu. Penerima manfaat Rumah Senyum sebanyak 500 keluarga dengan total jiwa sebanyak 964 jiwa. Rumah Senyum ini dibangun di tanah milik sendiri di samping rumah induknya yang mengalami kerusakan. Dengan Rumah Senyum para penyintas tidak perlu tinggal di pos pengungsian.

The total number of Rumah Senyum built reached 500 units spread across 10 villages in Donggala, Sigi, and Palu City. The beneficiaries of Rumah Senyum were 500 families with a total population of 964. Rumah Senyum were built on their own land beside the damaged house. With Rumah Senyum, the survivors did not need to live at the shelter.

The construction of shelter was conducted in several phases. In the first phase at the beginning of response period, there were constructions of Rumah Senyum (emergency shelter built) mostly in the Regency of Sigi, Regency of Donggala, and the Regency of Palu. Rumah Senyum is an emergency shelter built using a wooden frame, roof and tarpaulin walls measuring 4x6 meters.

The temporary settlement is sufficiently effective to help the survivors to recover their life. In order for temporary shelters to remain useful and not diminish in value, the Human Initiative team conducts regular audits. Temporary Settlement Area built in cooperation between the Human Initiative and the Catholic Relief Service is called Rumah Tumbuh Program. Rumah Tumbuh Program was conducted in 4 villages in the Regency of Sigi: Omu Village, Sambo Village, Tuwa Village, and Wisolo Village. The total number of beneficiaries of Rumah Tumbuh Program was 685 families. The beneficiaries of the program were the survivors whose houses were heavily to lightly damaged.

Huntara atau hunian sementara cukup efektif membantu pulihnya kehidupan para penyintas. Agar huntara tetap bermanfaat dan tidak berkurang nilainya, tim Human Initiative melakukan audit secara rutin. Huntara yang dibangun bersama Human Initiative dan Catholic Relief Service adalah program Rumah Tumbuh. Program Rumah Tumbuh ini dilaksanakan di 4 desa di Kabupaten Sigi: Desa Omu, Desa Sambo, Desa Tuwa, dan Desa Wisolo. Total penerima manfaat program Rumah Tumbuh sebanyak 685 keluarga. Penerima manfaat program Rumah Tumbuh ini adalah penyintas yang mengalami kerusakan rumah rusak berat hingga rusak ringan.

As for sanitation and clean water, the Human Initiative and the Catholic Relief Service promoted hygiene to beneficiaries when distributing the items. The total number of beneficiaries of hygiene promotion was 1,038 people of which 8% were females.

Pemenuhan kebutuhan dasar selanjutnya adalah latrine darurat. Human Initiative berkolaborasi dengan Catholic Relief Service berupaya melengkapi kebutuhan tersebut di beberapa titik pengungsian atau pemukiman yang membutuhkan latrine darurat. Dalam kurun waktu Desember 2018 hingga Februari 2019, Human Initiative bersama Catholic Relief Service telah membangun 160 pintu latrine darurat yang tersebar di 26 desa, sebanyak 2 desa terdapat di Kota Palu dan sisanya 24 desa di Kabupaten Sigi. Total penerima manfaat untuk latrine darurat sebanyak 780 keluarga atau sebanyak 2.441 jiwa. Untuk sanitasi dan air bersih, Human Initiative dan Catholic Relief Service melakukan sosialisasi kebersihan ke penerima manfaat dalam setiap kegiatan distribusi. Total penerima manfaat hygiene promotion sebanyak 1.038 jiwa di mana 8% adalah perempuan.

temporary houses. PT Pos Indonesia played a

role as a non-banking financial service

provider. The Human Initiative partnering

with the Catholic Relief Service prepared the

distribution regions that can be reached by

the beneficiaries who were disabled and

whose mobility was limited.

Human Initiative dan Catholic Relief Service juga bekerja sama dengan PT. Pos Indonesia dalam distribusi sejumlah dana sebagai modalitas yang diberikan kepada penerima manfaat untuk membangun hunian sementara. Modal tersebut bisa digunakan penerima manfaat untuk membeli material kebutuhan membangun hunian sementara. PT Pos Indonesia berperan sebagai organisasi penyedia jasa keuangan non-bank. Human Initiative dan Catholic Relief Service bermitra untuk mempersiapkan wilayah distribusi yang dapat dijangkau penerima manfaat dari kelompok disabilitas dan penerima manfaat yang memiliki keterbatasan mobilitas.

Fokus kerjasama dengan Islamic Relief Indonesia (IRI) adalah pembangunan hunian sementara (huntara) dan rehabilitasi sekolah. Namun, ada juga program tambahan yakni distribusi logistik untuk 1.000 kepala keluarga yang tersebar di Kota Palu dan Kabupaten Sigi. Program lainnya yaitu pembangunan huntara yang totalnya mencapai 375 huntara. Kontribusi dalam sektor pendidikan terwujud dalam rehabilitasi sekolah semi permanen dengan jumlah 17 sekolah di Palu dan Sigi yang sebelumnya terdampak bencana gempa bumi. Sedangkan untuk sekolah permanen ada 1 sekolah dengan total 67 kelas.

Dalam program ini setiap keluarga mengantongi bantuan sesuai tingkat kerusakan rumah. Besaran bantuan di kisaran Rp 1-2 juta. Rumah rusak ringan mendapatkan bantuan Rp 1 juta, rusak sedang Rp 1,5 juta, dan rusak berat Rp 2 juta. Program serupa juga dijalankan Human Initiative dengan organisasi CARE Internasional. Bedanya, program bersama CARE ini berbentuk cash for work. Jadi masyarakat bekerja dalam waktu 8-10 hari dan akan mendapatkan bayaran sesuai nilai yang disepakati di awal..

The focus of the collaboration with the Islamic Relief Indonesia (IRI) was the construction of temporary settlement and school renovation. In addition, there was an additional program that was logistic distribution for 1,000 households dispersed in the City of Palu and the Regency of Sigi. Another program was the construction of temporary settlement which in total reached 375 units. The contribution in educational sector showed in the semi-permanent school renovation totaling 17 schools in Palu and Sigi affected by the earthquake. As for permanent school, 1 school was renovated with a total of 6 classes.

For this program, the lead volunteer was Aldi Surya. This 31-year-old young man is one of the vanguards of the Human Initiative Initiative for Disaster or Disaster Risk Management (DRM) Team in Palu. Originated from West Sumatera, Aldi was appointed as program coordinator of the collaboration between the Human Initiative and the Islamic Relief Indonesia (IRI) in responding to the disaster as well as assisting the recovery in Central Sulawesi.

Pada program ini, relawan yang memimpin adalah Aldi Surya. Pria 31 tahun ini menjadi salah satu garda depan Tim Initiative for Disaster atau Disaster Risk Management (DRM) Human Initiative di Palu. Pria yang berasal dari Sumatera Barat ini ditunjuk sebagai koordinator program kerjasama Human Initiative dan Islamic Relief Indonesia (IRI) dalam merespon bencana sekaligus mendampingi recovery di Sulawesi Tengah.

Construction of School of Initiative Pembangunan Sekolah Inisiatif

In this program, each family received an amount in accordance with the level of house damage. The amount was about Rp1-2 million. Lightly damaged house received a fund of Rp1 million, moderately damaged Rp1.5 million, and heavily damaged received Rp2 millions. A similar program was also run by the Human Initiative in collaboration with CARE International. The difference was that the program with CARE was in form of cash for work. That meant that the people worked for 8 - 10 days and would be paid in accordance to the amount convened.

Recovery from Earthquake in LombokPemulihan Gempa di Lombok

Lombok earthquake that took place in July 2018 was a 6.4 SR earthquake that hit Lombok Island on July 29, 2018 at 05.47 WITA. The epicenter was 47 km on the northeast of the City of Mataram, Nusa Tenggara Barat with a depth of 24 km. The earthquake was felt in Lombok Island, Bali Island and Sumbawa Island. This earthquake was the beginning of a series of earthquakes prior to a bigger scale one that shook Lombok on August 5th, 2018.

Gempa bumi Lombok Juli 2018 adalah gempa darat berkekuatan 6,4 skala richter yang melanda Pulau Lombok, pada 29 Juli 2018 pukul 06.47 WITA. Pusat gempa berada di 47 kilometer sebelah timur laut Kota Mataram, Nusa Tenggara Barat dengan kedalaman 24 km. Guncangan gempa bumi dirasakan di seluruh wilayah Pulau Lombok, Pulau Bali, dan Pulau Sumbawa. Gempa ini merupakan rangkaian gempa awal sebelum gempa bermagnitudo lebih besar mengguncang Lombok pada 5 Agustus 2018.

The Data from the National Disaster Management Authority showed that 20 people had lost their lives, 401 were injured and 10,062 houses were damaged. The regency of Lombok Timur was the most affected area.

Data Badan Nasional Penanggulan Bencana menyebutkan 20 orang meninggal dunia, 401 orang mengalami luka-luka, 10.062 rumah rusak. Wilayah Kabupaten Lombok Timur menjadi wilayah yang paling terdampak.

The Lombok recovery program was conducted after the emergency response phase. The recovery phase turned from the program of fulfillment of basic needs to infrastructure renovation program and economy recovery of the survivors. The Presidential Instruction contains the construction of basic infrastructure and facilities to support the re-functioning of education, health, religious and economic support activities by the end of December 2018 and other infrastructures by 2019.

Dimulainya program recovery Lombok dilakukan setelah fase tanggap darurat selesai. Fase recovery pun beralih dari program pemenuhan kebutuhan dasar kepada program perbaikan insfrastruktur dan pemulihan ekonomi penyintas bencana. Instruksi Presiden berisi pembangunan prasarana dan sarana dasar untuk mendukung berfungsinya kembali aktifitas pendidikan, kesehatan, agama, dan fasilitas penunjang perekonomian paling lambat akhir Desember 2018 dan prasarana lain paling lambat 2019.

The Human Initiative built 3 units of Serambi Nyaman (Comfortable House), 5 units of MCK (bathing, washing, and toileting) and 3 drilled wells for 3 villages. In addition, it also built 406 “rumah senyum” (temporary houses) followed by a construction of other 142 units in North Lombok and West Lombok. To accelerate the rehabilitation and reconstruction of NTB after the earthquake, the President issued a Presidential Instruction No. 5 of 2018. In infrastructure, the construction of worshiping facility in Lombok was part of recovery phase carried out by The Human Initiative for the affected people. The Human Initiative constructed 10 Initiative Mosques in several regions in Lombok.

Human Initiative telah membangun 3 unit Serambi Nyaman, 5 unit MCK dan 3 sumur bor untuk 3 desa. Selain itu telah membangun 406 “rumah senyum” (huntara) yang kemudian berlanjut dengan pembangunan 143 unit lagi di Lombok Utara dan Lombok Barat. Dalam bidang infrastruktur, pembangunan fasilitas ibadah di wilayah Lombok merupakan bagian dari tahap pemulihan yang dilakukan Human Initiative untuk warga terdampak. In education, earthquake caused teaching learning activities to stop. Data from the Indonesian Ministry of Education and Culture recorded 606 schools were damaged due to earthquake. Therefore, the Human Initiative took the initiative to build an emergency school called the Initiative School aiming to restore the motivation to learn among children in Lombok. There were 6 Initiative schools in Lombok, one of which was in Sembalun sub-district. Initiative School functioned to support students’ learning process affected by the earthquake back to normal.

Di bidang pendidikan, bencana gempa mengakibatkan terhentinya kegiatan belajar mengajar para siswa dan staff pengajar. Data Kementerian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan RI, tercatat 606 sekolah rusak akibat gempa. Oleh karena itu, Human Initiative berinisiatif untuk membangun sekolah darurat yang diberi nama Sekolah Inisiatif yang bertujuan untuk mengembalikan semangat belajar mengajar untuk anak-anak di Lombok. Ada 6 sekolah Inisiatif di Lombok, salah satunya di kecataman Sembalun. Sekolah Inisitiatif difungsikan untuk mendukung proses belajar siswa-siswi terdampak gempa kembali berjalan seperti semula.

Meanwhile, in terms of economic sector, The Human Initiative helped residents to revive their economy. The Human Initiative provided assistance to micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs). This MSME mentoring program was executed by the Project Management team. This team carries out many empowerment programs for example:

Apart from coffee, there was also the development of palm sugar products from the village of Kekait, Gunungsari District, West Lombok. The product developed was the brand Kekait Brown Sugar (KBS). The products under the guidance of the Human Initiative have received halal certification and are ready to be widely marketed.

Apart from the 2 UMKM above, the Human Initiative also assisted the weaving artisans in Pringgasela village, East Lombok. This assistance aimed to restore the economy of the people affected by the Lombok disaster, especially in Pringgasela village.

C. Initiative for Empowerment

Initiative for Empowerment, also known as Klaster Berdaya in Indonesian, is a collection of empowerment programs that are implemented at the individual, family, and wider community levels to improve their welfare. It is done by observing the ability and potential of the beneficiaries. Once identified, Initiative for Empowerment prepares and provides facilities to increase skills and capacity to solve economic problems. The end result is that beneficiaries are able to overcome economic problems that have a positive impact on their well-being.

Initiative for Empowerment atau disebut juga Klaster Berdaya adalah kumpulan program pemberdayaan yang diterapkan pada tingkat individu, keluarga, maupun lingkungan yang lebih luas lagi agar kesejahteraannya membaik. Caranya dengan mengobservasi kemampuan dan potensi penerima manfaat. Setelah teridentifikasi, Klaster Berdaya menyiapkan dan memberikan fasilitas untuk meningkatkan skill dan kapasitas memecahkan persoalan ekonomi. Hasil akhirnya adalah penerima manfaat mampu mengatasi permasalahan ekonominya yang berdampak positif pada kesejahteraannya.

In 2019, Initiative for Empowerment managed empowerment programs for Lombok earthquake survivors. The earthquake that hit the people of Lombok in 2018 made its economy decline and resulted in loss of income. After the other empowerment in The Human Initiative distributed aid for basic needs, it was Initiative for Empowerment which intervened through empowerment programs to improve the economy of the survivors. The Initiative for Empowerment team conducted observation to potentials that could be run and beneficial to improve the survivors’ economy. There were three empowerment programs based on food products and native skills, including coffee from Sajang Village, Sembalun District, East Lombok Regency, palm sugar from Kekait Village, Gunung Sari District, West Lombok Regency, and woven fabrics from Pringgasela Village. Pringgasela District, East Lombok Regency. The description of the three empowerment programs is described as follow:

Pada 2019 Klaster Berdaya mengelola program pemberdayaan pada masyarakat penyintas gempa Lombok. Lindu yang melanda masyarakat Lombok pada 2018 telah membuat perekonomiannya merosot dan berdampak pada kehilangan penghasilan. Setelah Klaster lain di Human Initiative mendistribusikan bantuan untuk kebutahan dasar, giliran Klaster Berdaya mengintervensi lewat program pemberdayaan untuk perbaikan perekonomian penyintas. Tim Klaster Berdaya mengobservasi potensi apa saja yang bisa diolah dan dimanfaatkan untuk menumbuhkan ekonomi penyintas. Ada tiga program pemberdayaan yang berbasis hasil pangan dan keterampilan asli daerah setempat di antaranya kopi asal Desa Sajang, Kecamatan Sembalun, Kabupaten Lombok Timur, gula aren (brown sugar) asal Desa Kekait Kecamatan Gunung Sari Kabupaten Lombok Barat, dan kain tenun asal Desa Pringgasela, Kecamatan Pringgasela, Kabupaten Lombok Timur. Tujak Coffee Kopi Tujak

Tujak Coffee is a product of the Human Initiative managed by the Bumi Lestari Farmer Group as a result of the initiation of the youth of Sajang Village, Sembalun District, East Lombok. This is an economy empowerment program during the recovery phase in Lombok.

Kopi Tujak merupakan produk binaan Human Initiative yang dikelola oleh Kelompok Tani Bumi Lestari hasil inisiasi para pemuda Desa Sajang, Kecamatan Sembalun, Lombok Timur. Ini adalah program pemberdayaan ekonomi di fase recovery Lombok.

This coffee is not as famous as well-known coffees such as Temanggung Coffee, Toraja Coffee, Gayo Coffee, Wamena Coffee, Kintamani Coffee, Sidikalang Coffee, Lanang Coffee, or Sumatran Coffee. However, this coffee variety from Sajang Village has developed for a long time. The development of this coffee was stopped due to the 6.4 SR earthquake in July 2018 followed by aftershocks in early August 2018. Desa Sajang, Kecamatan Sembalun is one of the villages devastated by lindu.

Kopi ini belum seterkenal kopi-kopi yang sudah kesohor seperti Kopi Temanggung, Kopi Toraja, Kopi Gayo, Kopi Wamena, Kopi Kintamani, Kopi Sidikalang, Kopi Lanang, atau Kopi Sumatera. Namun varietas kopi asal Desa Sajang ini sudah berkembang lama. Pengembangan kopi ini terhenti akibat bencana gempa bumi berkekuatan 6,4 skala richter pada Juli 2018 dan disusul gempa susulan pada awal Agustus 2018. Desa Sajang Kecamatan Sembalun termasak salah satu desa yang luluhlantak oleh lindu.

The village is located at the valley of the Rinjani Mountain and is 10 km distance from the north of Sembalun Lawang Village known with its horticultural farming in Lombok Island. The East Lombok area is known for its coffee farming potential and is currently starting to grow. In Sajang Village, there is a coffee plantation covering an area of 1,400 hectares; many sources say has that it has existed since the colonial era. The types of coffee that are grown are arabica and robusta, of which quality is guaranteed..

The economic recovery program was needed by the survivors to be independent just like before the earthquake. When the attention of many parties began to decrease after the emergency response activities ended, the survivors still needed help, especially in restructuring their economy. It was in this section that the Human Initiative Power Cluster program targeted.

Desa yang terletak di lereng gunung Rinjani ini berjarak kurang lebih 10 kilometer sebelah utara Desa Sembalun Lawang yang mana terkenal dengan sentra pertanian hortikultura di Pulau Lombok. Daerah Lombok Timur dikenal akan potensi pertanian kopi dan saat ini mulai menggeliat. Di Desa Sajang terdapat kebun kopi seluas 1.400 hektar yang banyak sumber menyebut sudah ada sejak era penjajahan. Jenis kopi yang tumbuh adalah arabica dan robusta yang dijamin kualitasnya.

Program pemulihan ekonomi sangat dibutuhkan penyintas bencana agar dapat mandiri seperti sedia kala. Di saat perhatian banyak pihak mulai berkurang pasca aktivitas tanggap darurat berakhir, sebenarnya penyintas bencana masih membutuhkan pertolongan terutama menata ulang perekonomiannya. Di bagian inilah yang menjadi sasaran program Klaster Berdaya Human Initiative.

The principle of the empowered cluster program is the sustainability of the process by utilizing natural resources, human resources, and building an independent system from and by survivors. Thus, once the program initiator leaves the region, the community would be able to run independently and be able to earn income.

Prinsip program klaster berdaya adalah keberlanjutan proses dengan cara memanfaatkan sumber daya alam, sumber daya manusia, dan membangun sistem yang mandiri dari dan oleh penyintas. Jadi begitu inisiator program tidak lagi di sana, masyarakat bisa berjalan mandiri dan mampu berpenghasilan.

In Sembalun, farmers were facilitated with the ability to develop their coffee products to make them more marketable. The initial program was to assist the locals in cleaning the coffee plantation, followed by training on processing coffee beans into ready-to-consume products. This mentoring program was not without obstacles. Some farmers choose to sell raw coffee beans to market them easier. In fact, coffee beans only sell well in the market at a fairly cheap price of Rp. 3,000 per kilogram with a harvest period of one year.

Di Sembalun, para petani difasilitasi kemampuan untuk mengembangkan produk kopi mereka agar lebih laku di pasaran. Program awal adalah mendampingi warga membersihkan kebun kopi, dilanjutkan pelatihan mengolah biji kopi menjadi produk siap dikonsumsi. Program pendampingan ini bukannya tanpa kendala. Beberapa petani memilih menjual biji kopi mentah untuk mempermudah pemasaran. Padahal biji kopi hanya laku di pasaran dengan harga yang cukup murah yaitu Rp 3.000 per kilogram dengan masa panen satu tahun.

One of the youths from the village of Sajang succeeded in raising the economic value of Sembalun Coffee according to current market trends. Hazrul Azmi invited the youth of Sajang Village to process raw coffee beans into Sembalun specialty coffee, ready to consume. The team was well aware that the term Sembalun coffee was not yet known to Indonesian coffee connoisseurs. However, we were optimistic that the business prospect was still wide open for the development of Sembalun Coffee.

There are about 50 farmers who cultivate approximately 40 hectares of coffee land. There are 50 farmers working on 40 acres of coffee plantations. The development of the potential for Tujak Coffee improves the image of Sembalun coffee in the market. Sembalun coffee from East Lombok, which was originally priced cheap, is now creeping up in price, and starting to compete with other well-known coffees.

Salah satu pemuda dari desa Sajang berhasil mengangkat nilai ekonomis Kopi Sembalun sesuai trend pasar pada saat ini. Hazrul Azmi mengajak pemuda Desa Sajang mengolah biji kopi mentah menjadi kopi khas Sembalun yang lebih praktis dikonsumsi. Tim sadar betul istilah kopi Sembalun belum dikenal para penikmat kopi tanah air. Namun kami optimistis prospek bisnis masih terbuka lebar untuk pengembangan Kopi Sembalun.

Ada sekitar 50 petani yang mengolah kurang lebih 40 hektar lahan kopi. Penghasillan mereka mencapai Rp 10 juta per bulan setiap keluarga. Pengembangan potensi Kopi Tujak memperbaiki image kopi Sembalun di pasaran. Kopi Sembalun dari Lombok Timur yang semula dihargai murah, kini harganya merangkak naik, dan mulai bersaing dengan kopi-kopi yang tersohor lebih dulu.

In terms of branding, this Sembalun Coffee wsa changed to Tujak Coffee. Tujak in local language means to pound.

Tak hanya membersihkan kebun kopi dan pelatihan pengolahan biji kopi, Human Initiative juga melatih pengemasan produknya. Sekaligus membantu perizinan PIRT, sertifikasi halal dari MUI, juga mencarikan pasar atau konsumen besar yang tertarik bermitra. Dalam hal branding Kopi Sembalun ini diubah menjadi Kopi Tujak. Tujak dalam Bahasa setempat berarti menumbuk.

If Sajang Village has coffee, it is a different story with Kekait Village, Gunung Sari District, West Lombok Regency. In Kekait Village, The Human Initiative ran a food-product-based economy empowerment program: working with brown sugar. Indeed, in this village, we can see many palm trees. Unfortunately, farmers have not varied their products.

Jika Desa Sajang memiliki kopi, lain lagi cerita di Desa Kekait Kecamatan Gunung sari Kabupaten Lombok Barat. Di Desa Kekait Human Initiative menjalankan program pemberdayaan ekonomi berbasis hasil pangan berupa gula aren. Di desa ini memang banyak tumbuh pohon aren. Sayangnya petani kurang mengembangkan produk olahannya.

Initiative for Empowerment team initiated a program to develop processed products. To increase the added value, farmers were given training to process it as brown sugar. The result of the collaboration with the palm sugar farmers was the birth of brown sugar branded as Kekait Brown Sugar (KBS).

Tim Klaster Berdaya menginisiasi program untuk pengembangan hasil olahan. Untuk meningkatkan nilai tambah produk, para petani diberikan pelatihan untuk mengolahnya menjadi gula serbuk atau biasanya disebut gula semut. Hasil kolaborasi petani pohon aren adalah lahirnya produk alahan gula aren bermerek Kekait Brown Sugar (KBS).

Currently, there are 26 farmers mentored by the Human Initiative participated in producing brown sugar. The KBS products under the guidance of the Human Initiative have received halal certification and are ready to be widely marketed. The product produced by Kelompok Maju Mapan has obtained PIRT issued by the Health Office of the West Lombok Regency. In addition to PIRT, KBS product has obtained halal certificate. This is a form of cooperation between the Human Initiative and relevant office to build and establish SMEs that can create jobs, especially in the disaster recovery phase.

Saat ini sudah ada 26 petani binaan Human Initiative yang turut memproduksi gula semut. Produk KBS binaan Human Initiative telah mendapatkan sertifikasi halal dan siap dipasarkan secara luas. Produk yang dihasilkan oleh Kelompok Maju Mapan kini sudah memiliki PIRT yang dikeluarkan oleh Dinas Kesehatan Kabupaten Lombok Barat. Selain PIRT, kini produk KBS juga sudah memiliki sertifikat halal. Inilah salah satu bentuk kerja sama antara Human Initiative dengan dinas terkait untuk membangun dan menciptakan UKM yang bisa menciptakan lapangan kerja terutama di fase recovery bencana.

In other districts, there were also economic empowerment programs, precisely in Pringgasela Village, Pringgasela District, East Lombok Regency Pringgasela Village is one of the centers for producing woven fabrics on Lombok Island. The woven fabrics from this village are taught from generation to generation from the time of their ancestors. Women in Pringgasela village still weave using traditional weaving tools and use natural dyes. Even though the process looks simple, the quality of the woven fabrics in Pringgasela Village cannot be underestimated. The community, who are mostly women, still hold tight to the know-how of their traditional weaving. Thus, the results of each weaving work are not necessarily the same, instead they tend to be different from one another. This is the uniqueness of the original Pringgasela woven fabric.

Di Kecamatan lain juga terdapat program pemberdayaan ekonomi, tepatnya di desa Pringgasela Kecamatan Pringgasela Kabupaten Lombok Timur. Desa Pringgasela merupakan salah satu sentra penghasil kain tenun di Pulau Lombok. Kain tenun dari desa ini diajarkan turun temurun dari zaman leluhur mereka. Para Ibu di desa Pringgasela masih menenun dengan alat tenun tradisional dan menggunakan pewarna alami. Meskipun prosesnya terlihat sederhana, namun kualitas kain tenun Desa Pringgasela tak bisa dipandang sebelah mata. Para warga yang kebanyakan perempuan masih memegang erat pakem atau ketentuan tenunnya sendiri. Jadi hasil setiap karya tenun belum tentu sama, malah cenderung berbeda satu sama lain. Inilah keunikan kain tenun asli Pringgasela.

Dedy Aris Sandi adalah salah satu pemuda yang berinisiatif mengkoordinasi para perajin kain tenun di desanya dalam satu wadah himpunan. Para perajin biasa membuat kain tenun sendiri hingga memasarkannya sendiri. Dedy menginisiasi berdirinya koperasi untuk membantu permodalan perajin juga membantu urusan bahan baku hingga pemasaran. Human Initiative menyambut baik dan memberikan pendampingan pada Koperasi Rumah Produksi Tenun Pringgasela Lombok ini.

The devastating earthquake in 2018 in Lombok left trauma to some disaster survivors. Andi, a middle-aged mother from Pringgasela Selatan village, remembers very well how the earthquake destroyed her house. At the time of the earthquake, she rushed out of the house to save herself. Fortunately, she survived even though she was forced to live in a shelter.

Peristiwa gempa dahsyat tahun 2018 di Lombok meninggalkan trauma pada sebagian penyintas bencana. Andi, salah satu Ibu paruh baya dari desa Pringgasela Selatan masih mengingat betul bagaimana gempa memporakporandakan rumahnya. Andi yang pada saat terjadinya gempa berada di dalam rumah bergegas keluar rumah untuk menyelamatkan diri. Beruntung ia selamat meski terpaksa tinggal di pengungsian.

Andi and many other women who make woven cloth crafts had not been able to carry out their daily activities after the earthquake. Most of the community affected by the earthquake were still living in shelters. The situation has gradually improved and they were able to return to making woven fabrics between activities in the temporary shelter.

Andi dan banyak ibu lain yang sehari-hari membuat kerajinan kain tenun belum bisa melakukan aktivitas hariannya pasca gempa terjadi. Warga terdampak bencana gempa sebagian besar masih tinggal di hunian sementara. Situasi berangsur membaik dan mereka bisa kembali membuat kain tenun di sela-sela aktivitasnya di hunian sementara.

Dedy Aris Sandi was one of the young people who took the initiative to coordinate woven fabric craftsmen in his village in one association forum. Artisans were used to make their own woven fabrics to market them themselves. Dedy initiated the establishment of a cooperative to help the artisans with capital, raw materials and marketing. The Human Initiative welcomed this initiative and provided assistance to the Pringgasela Lombok Weaving Production House Cooperative.

Warung Inisiatif

In 2019, the Human Initiative distributed many

various assistance to survivors in locations

affected by Sunda Strait Tsunami in Banten and

its surroundings. One of its contributions were

to provide help with several new boats to the

fishermen in Pandeglang, Banten.

Di awal 2019, Human Initiative menyalurkan berbagai bantuan untuk para penyintas di lokasi terdampak tsunami Selat Sunda di Banten dan sekitarnya. Salah satu kontribusi yang dilakukan adalah memberikan bantuan berupa unit perahu baru kepada para nelayan di wilayah Pandeglang, Banten.

Tsunami benar-benar menghancurkan warung-warung, dan barang dagangan tersapu oleh gelombang dan tidak ada yang tersisa, sehingga mematikan bisnis dan meninggalkan orang tanpa penghasilan selama tiga bulan. Mereka yang selamat dari kejadian itu, menerima bantuan untuk memperbaiki warung bernama Warung Program Insiatif.

The tsunami completely destroyed shops, and

merchandise was swept away by the waves and

nothing was left, thus shutting down

businesses and leaving people without income

for three months. The survivors received

assistance to repair a stall called Warung

Insiatif Program.

The recovery phase conducted by the Human

Initiative was the distribution of 4 new boats.

The boat was given to a fishing group named

Puteri Kembar in the Karang Mengpek Village

area, Tanjung Jaya Village, Panimbang District,

Pandeglang Regency, Banten Province. The

Human Initiative also contributed logistical

assistance and organized psychosocial

recovery programs. Another assistance was in

the form of capital assistance for traders,

owners of stalls around the coast, and

fishermen. The Sunda Strait tsunami disaster

not only destroyed the main road, but also

small shops along the coast.

Fase recovery yang dilakukan oleh Human Initiative adalah menyalurkan bantuan 4 unit perahu baru. Perahu diberikan untuk kelompok nelayan yang bernama Puteri Kembar di wilayah Kampung Karang Mengpek, Desa Tanjung Jaya, Kecamatan Panimbang, Kabupaten Pandeglang, Provinsi Banten. Human Initiative juga turut menyalurkan bantuan logistik dan menggelar program pemulihan psikososial. Bencana tsunami selat Sunda tak hanya menghancurkan jalan utama, namun juga warung-warung kecil di sepanjang pantai. Tsunami benar-benar menghancurkan warung, barang dagangan terseret gelombang, ludes tak bersisa sehingga mematikan usaha dan berdampak warga tak berpenghasilan selama tiga bulan. Penyintas bencana mendapatkan bantuan perbaikan warung yang diberi nama Warung Insiatif.

Selama fase pemulihan, Human Initiative mendorong komunitas untuk aktif kembali. Warung kecil menjadi pilihan karena itu merupakan sumber pendapatan bagi penduduk setempat dan sarana untuk menghidupkan kembali Desa Cangkara, Pandeglang.

In initiating community economic independence, the Initiative for Empowerment classifies community empowerment into three pillars; Empowered Cadre, Empowered Family, and Empowered Village. The description is as follow:

Dalam menginisiasi kemandirian ekonomi masyarakat, Inisiatif for Empowerment mengelompokkan pemberdayaan masyarakat menjadi tiga pilar; Kader Berdaya, Keluarga Berdaya, dan Kampung Berdaya. Ulasannya sebagai berikut:

In running the Human Initiative programs, aside from running the, in villages or marginalized community, Initiative for Empowerment also runs closing program within a series of disaster handling program. Misalnya suatu bencana gempa bumi, respon pertama adalah program tanggap darurat yang dikomando oleh klaster Disaster Rescue Managemen (DRM). Klaster DRM bertanggungjawab hingga fase recovery. Selanjutnya program pemberdayaan untuk para korban yang mulai bangkit dikelola oleh Klaster Berdaya.

Itulah cerita singkat tiga program utama yang bergulir dari Initiative for Empowerment atau Klaster Berdaya Human Initiative. Pendampingan pasca bencana yang telah dilakukan memberi gambaran bagaimana organisasi ini bekerja dan membersamai program-program yang bergulir di masyarakat. Respon cepat, kemampuan menganalisa dan memetakan persoalan, serta nafas panjang dalam pendampingan adalah kunci kesuksesan program. Kisah Kopi Tujak, Kekait Brown Sugar, Kain Tenun Pringgasela, serta Warung Inisiatif merupakan contoh program unggulan dari puluhan program pemberdayaan Human Initiative di seluruh wilayah terdampak bencana.

Assistance in the form of small shops was chosen to restore normal conditions and grow the economy of the residents around Cangkara Village, Pandeglang. A total of 50 small shops with different merchandise were built in three months. The types of the shops were adjusted to the businesses that had been carried out by the locals prior to the earthquake, from basic food shops to ready-to-eat stalls

Empowered Family Keluarga Berdaya

An empowered cadre is someone of a productive age in an area who has social sensitivity, has the potential to move the community and is ready to become a local leader as well as a local agent of change. Empowered cadres can come from various and diverse backgrounds, ranging from teachers, civil servants, farmers, to housewives living in the area. These empowered cadres are then trained to acquire knowledge and skills as community activists. They are the key to program sustainability. By selecting and creating the right local leaders, the work of community empowerment is halfway to achieving its goals.

Kader berdaya adalah seseorang dengan usia produktif di sebuah wilayah yang memiliki kepekaan sosial, memiliki potensi untuk menggerakkan masyarakat dan siap menjadi local leader sekaligus agen perubahan (agent of change) setempat. Kader berdaya dapat berasal dari berbagai kalangan dan latar belakang beragam, mulai dari guru, pegawai negeri, petani, hingga ibu rumah tangga di wilayah tersebut. Para kader berdaya ini yang kemudian difasilitasi untuk memiliki pengetahuan dan keterampilan sebagai penggerak masyarakat. Kader berdaya adalah kunci keberlanjutan program. Dengan memilih dan menciptakan local leader yang tepat, maka pekerjaan pemberdayaan masyarakat sudah setengah jalan untuk sampai tujuannya.

Empowered Family is a group of people with kinship ties, living in one place, consisting of parents and children, who have the will, strength and resilience to improve the quality of life and the ability to improve welfare. The indicator is that the family has sufficient income to meet needs, adopts a clean and healthy lifestyle (PHBS), and is able to send their children to school. Income indicators are achieved through the Multi-Income Family Program (KMP). Healthy Live indicators are achieved through the Sahabat Gizi Kita (Sagita) Program and Latrine Arisan.

Keluarga Berdaya adalah sekelompok orang dengan ikatan kekerabatan, hidup dalam satu tempat tinggal, terdiri atas orang tua dan anak, yang memiliki kemauan, kekuatan dan ketahanan untuk meningkatkan kualitas hidup dan kemampuan meningkatkan kesejahteraan. Indikatornya adalah keluarga tersebut memiliki pendapatan yang cukup untuk memenuhi kebutuhan, menerapkan pola hidup bersih dan sehat (PHBS), dan mampu menyekolahkan anak-anaknya. Indikator berpenghasilan dicapai melalui Program Keluarga Multi Penghasilan (KMP). Indikator hidup sehat dicapai melalui Program Sahabat Gizi Kita (Sagita) dan Arisan Jamban.

Empowered cadres must have key competencies in order to function as spearheads of change in society. There are three main competencies that must be possessed, including:

Ability to manage the community with knowledge and skills in facilitation, mobilization, advocacy, and communication.C. Have sectoral knowledge and skills in the fields of economy, education, maternal and child health, and sanitation.

Kader berdaya harus memiliki kompetensi utama agar dapat menjalankan fungsi sebagai ujung tombak perubahan di masyarakat. Ada tiga kompetensi utama yang harus dimiliki, antara lain:a. Kemampuan memahami potensi sosial dengan pengetahuan dan keterampilan mengenai metode participatory rural appraisal (PRA).b. Kemampuan mengorganisi masyarakat lewat pengetahuan dan keterampilan fasilitasi, mobilisasi, advokasi, dan komunikasi.c. A. Community Independent Business Group (KUMM) Kelompok Usaha Mandiri Masyarakat (KUMM)

Community Independent Business Group is a community empowerment program that aims to improve the economy of a family. This program is carried out by forming several business units that will be managed by each family so that they can increase their income. KUMM tries to solve several economic problems faced by underprivileged families, including:• Uncertain family income• Fulfillment of family needs, whether daily, weekly or monthly• All income is allocated to fulfill various primary needs of the family that no remaining fund can be saved.

Kelompok Usaha Mandiri Masyarakat adalah sebuah program pemberdayaan masyarakat yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan perekonomian suatu keluarga. Program ini dilakukan dengan cara membentuk beberapa unit usaha yang akan dikelola oleh setiap keluarga sehingga dapat meningkatkan penghasilan keluarga tersebut. KUMM berusaha menjawab beberapa permasalahan ekonomi yang dihadapi keluarga kurang mampu, di antaranya :- Pendapatan keluarga tidak menentu- Pemenuhan kebutuhan keluarga, baik yang berupa harian, mingguan, maupun bulanan- Semua pendapatan dialokasikan untuk pemenuhan berbagai kebutuhan primer keluarga, sehingga tidak ada dana yang tersisa yang dapat ditabung.

The Smart and Intelligent Scholarship Program (BeaSTAR) is a program that aims to increase the enrollment rate through the provision of education funding assistance and guidance to students and parents. Education funding assistance is provided to ensure that students' needs for access to facilities for quality educational can be met. Mentoring for students aims to improve student achievement in school. Meanwhile, mentoring for parents of students aims to increase parents' knowledge about their role in supporting the success of children's education. The BeaSTAR program can be said to support the Sustainable Development Goals of quality education.

Program Beastudi Cerdas dan Pintar (BeaSTAR) adalah program yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan angka partisipasi pendidikan melalui pemberian bantuan dana pendidikan serta pembinaan kepada siswa dan orang tua. Bantuan dana pendidikan diberikan untuk menjamin bahwa kebutuhan siswa terhadap akses fasilitasi pendidikan berkualitas dapat terpenuhi. Pembinaan kepada siswa bertujuan untuk meningkatkan prestasi siswa di sekolah. The Indonesian Excellence Student Scholarship Program (MUDA) is a program that facilitates high-achieving children to have excellence in their intelligence and character through the provision of educational assistance and intensive guidance. Education funding assistance is provided to ensure that students' needs for access to facilities for quality educational can be met. Mentoring activities aim to improve their hard skills and soft skills academically and encourage initiatives in the social sector. Mentoring activities are carried out in student dormitories and outdoor activities. The MUDA Scholarship Program can be said to support the fourth Sustainable Development Goals point, namely quality education. This is because the output of MUDA Scholarship program facilitates the community to get quality education.

Program Beastudi Mahasiswa Unggul Indonesia (MUDA) adalah program yang memfasilitasi anak-anak yang berprestasi agar memiliki keunggulan pada intelektualitas dan budi pekerti mereka melalui pemberian bantuan dana pendidikan serta pembinaan secara intensif. Bantuan dana pendidikan diberikan untuk menjamin bahwa kebutuhan siswa terhadap akses fasilitasi pendidikan berkualitas dapat terpenuhi. Aktivitas pembinaan bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan hard skill dan soft skill mereka di bidang akademis dan mendorong munculnya inisiatif di bidang sosial kemasyarakat. Kegiatan pembinaan dilakukan di asrama mahasiswa dan kegiatan outdoor. Program Beastudi MUDA dapat dikatakan mendukung Sustainable Development Goals point ke empat yaitu pendidikan yang berkualitas. Hal ini karena output dari program Beastudi MUDA memfasilitasi masyarakat agar mendapatkan pendidikan yang berkualitas.

Sahabat Gizi Kita [Our Nutrition Friend] or SAGITA is a program to overcome the health problems of mothers and children who suffer from malnutrition. The number of malnourished children under-five years old in Indonesia is still high, i.e., 19.2 percent. In this program, the facilitator provides counseling, insights on balanced nutrition and technical actions. The goal is to ensure that the golden period can be achieved optimally.

Sahabat Gizi Kita atau SAGITA merupakan program penanggulangan masalah kesehatan ibu dan anak yang mengalami kurang gizi. Angka balita gizi buruk dan kurang di Indonesia masih tinggi, yaitu sebesar 19,2 persen. Pada program ini fasilitator memberikan penyuluhan, wawasan tentang gizi seimbang serta tindakan teknis. Tujuannya memastikan periode emas balita dapat diraih dengan optimal.

The implementation of the activity uses a specific approach in the first 1000 days of Life Movement (HPK) announced by the government. The specific approach targets the age groups involved in 1000 HPK, starting from pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers, and infants under two years of age. In addition, the SAGITA program also targets children aged 2 to 5 years (toddlers).

Implementasi kegiatan menggunakan pendekatan spesifik dalam Gerakan 1000 Hari Pertama Kehidupan (HPK) yang dicanangkan pemerintah. Pendekatan spesifik menyasar kelompok usia yang terlibat pada 1000 HPK, mulai dari ibu hamil, ibu menyusui, dan bayi di bawah usia dua tahun (baduta). Selain itu, program SAGITA juga menyasar anak usia 2 sampai 5 tahun (balita).

School of Nutrition consists of activities: examination of growth and development and health, provision of supplementary food (PMT), cooking demonstrations, counseling of mothers under five, and home visits. The SAGITA program supports Sustainable Development Goals in the fields of hunger eradication, health improvement and gender equality. This is because the results of the SAGITA program include improving the intake of nutritious food through the provision of additional food, improving the nutritional status and growth of children under five through nutrition schools and women's participation in improving nutrition through empowering women.

Sekolah Gizi terdiri dari kegiatan; pemeriksaan tumbuh kembang dan kesehatan, pemberian makanan tambahan (PMT), demo masak, konseling ibu balita, dan kunjungan rumah. Program SAGITA mendukung Sustainable Development Goals dalam bidang pengentasan kelaparan, perbaikan kesehatan dan kesetaraan gender. Hal ini karena hasil program SAGITA antara lain perbaikan asupan makanan bergizi melalui pemberian makanan tambahan, peningkatan status gizi dan tumbuh kembang balita melalui sekolah gizi dan partisipasi perempuan untuk perbaikan gizi melalui pemberdayaan perempuan.

Empowered Village is a facility and infrastructure built in the community. The scope of Empowered Village is not only limited to infrastructure, but also the social system in it. The process of building infrastructure and social systems must also be carried out with community participation. Empowered Village has two indicators, namely a healthy environment and a source of community income. A healthy environment is realized through the Water Sharing and Healthy Garden program. Meanwhile, the source of community income is realized through the Village Industry Development Program (BID). For example, the Village Industry Development Program facilitates the community to be able to build a mini plant infrastructure with operational management standards to be able to obtain PIRT and halal certification. In the process, the community will be given training so that they can build a mini plant that meets quality standards.

Kampung Berdaya adalah sarana dan prasarana yang dibangun di masyarakat. Ruang lingkup Kampung Berdaya tidak hanya sebatas pada infrastruktur, tetapi juga sistem sosial di dalamnya. Proses pembangunan infrastruktur dan sistem sosial tersebut juga harus dilakukan dengan partisipasi masyarakat. Kampung Berdaya memiliki dua indikator yaitu lingkungan sehat dan ada sumber pendapatan masyarakat. Lingkungan sehat diwujudkan melalui program Berbagi Air dan Kebun Sehat. Sedangkan sumber pendapatan masyarakat diwujudkan melalui Program Bangun Industri Desa (BID). Sebagai contoh program Bangun Industri Desa memfasilitasi masyarakat untuk bisa membangun infrastruktur mini plant lengkap dengan standar operasional pengelolaannya hingga layak mendapatkan sertifikasi PIRT dan halal. Dalam prosesnya, masyarakat akan diberi pelatihan sehingga mampu membangun mini plant yang memenuhi standar kualitas.

The Water Sharing Program is a program that focuses on understanding and changing community behavior regarding PHBS and the formation of community groups that are able to independently meet water needs. The form of activity focuses on the formation of empowered cadres and the development of clean water infrastructure and clean water management systems. Empowered cadres will act as agents of community education and managers of clean water facilities. Clean water facilities constructed consist of drilled wells, reservoirs and main pipes to be connected to houses. Bentuk kegiatan berfokus pada pembentukan kader berdaya serta pembangunan infrastruktur air bersih dan sistem pengelolaan air bersih. Kader berdaya akan berperan sebagai agen pendidik masyarakat dan pengelola sarana air bersih. Sarana air bersih yang dibangun terdiri dari sumur bor, reservoir dan pipa utama untuk disambungkan ke rumah-rumah. Program Berbagi Air dapat dikatakan mendukung Sustainable Development Goals yaitu no poverty, good health dan clean water and sanitation.

Hal ini karena hasil dari program Arisan Jamban adalah peningkatan akses masyarakat terhadap sanitasi yang layak. Selain itu, berdasarkan kajian yang dilakukan oleh Kementerian Dalam Negeri yang dimuat dalam laporan Bank Dunia tahun 2016, sanitasi berdampak pada peningkatan derajat kesehatan masyarakat dan pengurangan angka kemiskinan di suatu wilayah.

Posyandu Revitalization is a program that aims to improve the quality of community-based posyandu or known as Community-Based Health Measures (UKBM). Program activities consist of training and coaching posyandu cadres, as well as supporting facilities and infrastructure to support posyandu services. Cadres will be trained and nurtured regarding posyandu services such as recording posyandu information systems, anthropometric measurements and health promotion activities. Cadres will also be given training on maternal and child health, especially the nutritional needs of pregnant women and toddlers.

Revitalisasi Posyandu adalah program yang bertujuan meningkatkan kualitas posyandu berbasis masyarakat atau disebut sebagai Upaya Kesehatan Berbasis Masyarakat (UKBM). Kegiatan program terdiri dari pelatihan dan pembinaan kader posyandu, serta bantuan sarana prasarana penunjang layanan posyandu. Para kader akan dilatih dan dibina mengenai layanan posyandu seperti pencatatan sistem informasi posyandu, pengukuran antropometri dan kegiatan promosi kesehatan. Kader juga akan diberikan edukasi mengenai kesehatan ibu dan anak, khususnya kebutuhan gizi ibu hamil dan balita.

Food Security is a community empowerment program that focuses on encouraging the creation of family food security in the target area. In its implementation, the community will be formed into a productive and empowered community in the process of creating affordable food access for the region.

Ketahanan Pangan merupakan program pemberdayaan masyarakat yang fokus mendorong terciptanya ketahanan pangan keluarga pada wilayah sasaran. Pada implementasinya masyarakat akan dibentuk menjadi suatu komunitas produktif dan berdaya pada proses penciptaan akses pangan yang terjangkau bagi wilayahnya.

School Renovation is a program to improve the quality of educational facilities through assistance for infrastructure improvements and assistance in supporting teaching and learning process. It is hoped that formal education facilities can provide quality education services. The School Renovation Program can be said to support the Sustainable Development Goals, namely quality education.

Bedah Sekolah adalah program peningkatan kualitas sarana pendidikan melalui bantuan perbaikan infrastruktur dan bantuan peralatan penunjang proses belajar mengajar. Harapannya sarana pendidikan formal bisa menyuguhkan layanan pendidikan berkualitas. Program Bedah Sekolah dapat dikatakan mendukung Sustainable Development Goals yaitu pendidikan yang berkualitas.

Hasil program ini antara lain peningkatan akses makanan bergizi melalui pembentukan kebun sehat keluarga. Penambahan wawasan tentang gizi buruk melalui sekolah gizi. Adapun pemberdayaan perempuan diarahkan untuk mendorong ibu-ibu memanfaatkan pekarangan rumah berupa kebun bersama.

Posyandu Revitalization Program can be said to support the Sustainable Development Goals, namely no hunger, good health and gender equality. This is because the results of this program include improving the nutritional status and development of children under five as well as women's participation in improving nutrition in their regions through empowering women.

BID tries to solve several economic problems faced by underprivileged families, including:• Limitations in capital, facilities, and knowledge on developing a product into another product with high selling value.• Lack of insight into the market, changes in people's consumption patterns must be responded by entrepreneurs by changing production strategies and product development. Weak management and lack of experience often aggravate rural small industries when facing a sluggish market.• Networking skills, because small entrepreneurs are too focused on technical work. Another function, in the form of adding business relations,is getting less attention.

BID berusaha menjawab beberapa permasalahan yang dihadapi masyarakat daerah pedesaan, di antaranya :- Keterbatasan dalam permodalan, fasilitas, dan pengetahuan tentang mengembangkan suatu produk menjadi produk lain yang bernilai jual tinggi.- Kurangnya wawasan tentang pasar, perubahan pola konsumsi masyarakat harus direspon pengusaha dengan mengubah strategi produksi dan pengembangan produk. Lemahnya manajemen dan minimnya pengalaman kerap memperburuk industri kecil di pedesaan tatkala menghadapi lesunya pasar.- Kemampuan networking, sebab pengusaha kecil terlampau fokus dengan pekerjaan teknis. Fungsi lain berupa menambah relasi bisnis kurang mendapatkan porsi perhatian.

Village Industry Development (BID) is a program of community empowerment through development of local-potential based economy infrastructure. The implementation of this program is to build an industry that produces high-value products.

Bangun Industri Desa (BID) adalah suatu program pemberdayaan masyarakat melalui pembangunan sarana ekonomi berbasis potensi lokal. Implementasi program ini yaitu membangun sebuah industri yang menghasilkan produk bernilai jual tinggi.

Mosque Construction is a program to improve the quality of worshiping facilities through assistance for infrastructure improvements and assistance in supporting the community worshiping activities. Pembangunan Masjid adalah program peningkatan kualitas sarana ibadah melalui bantuan perbaikan infrastruktur dan bantuan peralatan penunjang aktivitas kerohanian masyarakat. Harapannya sarana ibadah dapat memperbaiki kualitas layanan tempat ibadah. Program Pembangunan Masjid dapat dikatakan mendukung Sustainable Development Goals yaitu pendidikan yang berkualitas.

D. Initiative for Children

The world's concern for the fate of children has been known for decades. The Convention on the Rights of the Child in 1989 became the motivation for the United Nations and the international community to reduce the mortality rate for children under 5 years of age, fight malnutrition among children, and help children get their right to live decent lives. However, a number of problems regarding children's rights remain unsolved.

Perhatian dunia terhadap nasib anak-anak sudah digaungkan puluhan tahun. Konvensi Hak Anak pada 1989 menjadi motivasi Perserikatan Bangsa-Bangsa dan komunitas internasional untuk menekan angka kematian anak di bawah 5 tahun, memerangi kekurangan gizi pada anak-anak, dan membantu anak mendapatkan haknya untuk hidup layak. Kendati demikian sejumlah permasalahan soal hak anak-anak tetap belum terselesaikan.

According to UNESCO data in the 2017-18 Global Education Monitoring Report, it shows the number of children without access to education reaches 246 million. This problem also exists in Indonesia. The Human Initiative realizes that all parties need to intervene to solve this problem. This is the basis for the Human Initiative to compile and plan programs to alleviate children's problems.

Menurut data UNESCO dalam laporan 2017-18 Global Education Monitoring Report, menunjukan jumlah anak yang tak mendapat akses pendidikan mencapai 246 juta. Masalah ini juga masih ada di Indonesia. Human Initiative sadar betul perlu campur tangan semua pihak untuk mengatasi persoalan tersebut. Inilah yang menjadi landasan Human Initiative menyusun dan merencanakan program-program untuk pengentasan masalah anak-anak.

The Human Initiative still focuses on the problem of orphans. The majority of orphans also have the problems mentioned by the international agencies. Orphans are risking- if they are reluctant to be falling - to live in poverty because of limited access to education and health. Limited education and health causes orphans to grow up with a process that is not normal so that they are threatened to become a less skilled or unproductive group.

Human Initiative masih berfokus pada persoalan anak yang berstatus yatim. Mayoritas anak yatim juga memiliki permasalahan yang disebut oleh lembaga-lembaga internasional tadi. Anak yatim terancam – jika enggan disebut terjerembab—hidup dalam kubangan kemiskinan karena akses pendidikan dan kesehatan yang terbatas. Pendidikan dan kesehatan yang terbatasi membuat anak yatim tumbuh dengan proses yang kurang normal sehingga mereka terancam menjadi kelompok yang kurang berketerampilan atau tidak produktif.

The Initiative for Children team plays a role in compiling and executing programs in the form of assistance in the fields of education and health, as well as coaching and training. The team focuses on these four areas because through strengthening in these areas orphans and poor people could change their fate. The following are the main programs of the Initiative for Children:

Tim Initiative for Children berperan menyusun dan mengeksekusi program-program yang berbentuk bantuan bidang pendidikan dan kesehatan, serta pembinaan dan pelatihan. Tim berfokus pada empat bidang tersebut karena lewat penguatan pada bidang-bidang tadi kalangan yatim dan dhuafa dapat mengubah nasibnya. Berikut program-program unggulan Initiative for Children :

HOME is a halfway house as a center for training, coaching and talent development for orphans and dhuafa. In HOME, we can find a study room, library, computer laboratory, and creativity room. In HOME children are free to explore themselves to become better quality children. In HOME orphans and dhuafa can study religion, study general fields, and get training and assistance for certain skills.

bagi anak yatim dan dhuafa. Di dalam HOME

tersedia ruang belajar, perpustakaan,

laboratorium komputer, dan ruang kreatifitas. Di

menjadi anak anak yang lebih berkualitas. Di

HOME yatim dan dhuafa bisa belajar agama,

belajar bidang-bidang umum, serta mendapatkan

pelatihan dan pendampingan untuk skill tertentu.

Ini akan menjadi masalah masyarakat jika tidak segara ditangani. Untuk itu Human Initiative membentuk program-program khusus mereka. Initiative for Children adalalah kumpulan program Human Initiative yang berfokus pada persoalan anak.

During its development, this team not only handled orphans but also dhuafa. Dhuafa is a term in Arabic which means those who are physically, financially and psychologically weak. Weakness does not mean because they are lazy or unwilling to try, but because of limited access, which leaves them with no choice but to depend on the help of others.

Dalam perkembangannya, tim ini tidak hanya menangani anak yatim tetapi juga dhuafa. Dhuafa adalah istilah dalam bahasa arab yang berarti kalangan yang lemah secara fisik, keuangan, juga psikis. Lemah yang dimaksud bukan karena malas atau enggan berusaha melainkan karena keterbatasan akses yang menyebabkan mereka tidak memiliki pilihan selain bergantung bantuan orang lain.

Berbasis pendidikan karakter dan penguatan pola perilaku positif, pembinaan yang diberikan bisa membantu anak yatim dan dhuafa merencanakan target hidup, juga memotivasi mereka untuk meraih cita-citanya. Program utama HOME meliputi :

The HOME program received appreciation from the Deputy Regent of Bandung Regency Gun Gun Gunawan in early 2019. Seeing the HOME program that was run by The Human Initiative in 2019, the Deputy Regent in Bandung Regency thanked The Human Initiative and other similar agencies because these social programs really helped the work of the Local Government. It is a program to alleviate child malnutrition, and its main goal is to improve community welfare. He hopes that there will be a synergy among the programs among the agencies such as between The Human Initiative and local government.

Program HOME mendapatkan apresiasi dari Wakil Bupati Kabupaten Bandung Gun Gun Gunawan pada awal 2019. Melihat program HOME yang digulirkan oleh Human Initiative pada 2019, orang nomor dua di Kabupaten Bandung itu mengucapkan terimakasih kepada Human Initiative dan lembaga serupa yang lain sebab program-program sosial tersebut sangat membantu tugas Pemerintah Daerah. Program anak untuk mengentaskan gizi buruk anak, dan tujuan besarnya yaitu meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat. Ia berahap perlu sinergisitas antara program lembaga seperti Human Initiative dengan pemerintah kabupaten.

The presence of this program is expected to provide an educational and fun place to play. Children are also expected to have the ability to solve problems and become more independent individuals through regular mentoring.

Hadirnya program ini diharapkan dapat memberikan tempat bermain yang edukatif serta menyenangkan. Anak pun diharapkan memiliki kemampuan pemecahan masalah serta pribadi yang lebih mandiri lagi melalui pendampingan berkala.

As many as 250 orphans mentored by the Human Initiative Aceh went on an Educational tour with their guardians and carers at a family tourism park called Deer Park in Lam Tanjong Village, Sibreh District, Banda Aceh City on December 27, 2019. A park with various animals and plants from various regions and abroad is the right place to introduce children to the world of flora and fauna.

Sebanyak 250 yatim binaan Human Initiative Aceh melaksanakan Educational Tour bersama wali dan pengasuh di taman wisata keluarga bernama Taman Rusa di Desa Lam Tanjong, Kecamatan Sibreh, Kota Banda Aceh pada 27 Desember 2019. Taman yang berisi aneka hewan dan tumbuhan dari berbagai daerah dan mancanegara menjadi tempat yang tepat untuk mengenalkan anak-anak tentang dunia flora dan fauna.

Children can learn about trees and plants via the information boards. In the corner of the park, we can find historical remains of the ancestors in the form of ancient traditional tools for daily life. The traditional tools are in the form of jambo containers made of sago palm or coconut leaves, plow tools, axes for chopping wood of various sizes.

Anak-anak bisa mengenal pohon dan tumbuhan melalui papan informasi. Di sudut taman terdapat peninggalan-peninggalan sejarah nenek moyang berupa alat-alat tradisional untuk menunjang hidup di masa lampau. Alat tradisonal tersebut berupa wadah jambo dari daun rumbia atau daun kelapa, alat pembajak sawah, kapak pembelah kayu berbagai ukuran.

Inviting hundreds of orphans to travel to a place full of learning is one of the programs called Kafalah Yatim. Kafalah Yatim is a financial assistance and empowerment program for orphans in meeting education, coaching, training and health needs.

Mengajak ratusan anak yatim berwisata ke tempat yang penuh dengan pembelajaran adalah salah satu program yang bernama Kafalah Yatim. Kafalah Yatim merupakan program bantuan biaya dan pemberdayaan untuk yatim dalam memenuhi kebutuhan pendidikan, pembinaan, pelatihan dan kesehatan.

Not only for the orphans, the Human Initiative has also provided assistance targeting the mother of orphans. In July 2019, the Human Initiative held a parenting seminar by inviting hundreds of orphans’ mothers at the Human Initiative Headquarters in Depok, West Java. The mentor who was the sole speaker delivered material on the theme of love for children, insisting on sincere intentions in educating and raising children. At the end of the event, these mothers were provided with an ATM card containing education funds for their children. In managing the fund in their account, they were assisted by the management of the foundation, partner of the Human Initiative.

Bukan hanya anak yatim, Human Initiative juga menggulirkan bantuan yang menyasar ibu anak yatim. Pada Juli 2019, Human Initiative menggelar seminar parenting atau pengasuhan anak dengan mengundang ratusan ibu anak yatim di Kantor Pusat Human Initiative di Depok Jawa Barat. Mentor yang didapuk sebagai pembicara tunggal menyampaikan materi bertema cinta pada anak, menanamkan niat ikhlas dalam mendidik dan membesarkan anak. Di akhir acara, para emak yatim ini dibekali dengan kartu ATM yang berisi dana pendidikan untuk anak-anak mereka. Dalam pengelolaannya di lapangan, ATM tersebut dibantu oleh pengurus yayasan mitra Human Initiative.

It is an educational aid program for pupils in elementary to middle school who are orphans or dhuafa having good academic and non-academic achievement. The Human Initiative Ramadan Program in

2019 had “Bukber” (Month of Sharing) as a

theme. This theme offered the spirit to

share in the holy month with various

programs, among others, break fasting

together, shopping together with the

orphans and dhuafa, new clothes for the Ied,

Ied packages and other programs.

Program Ramadhan Human Initiative pada

2019 mengangkat tema “Bukber (Bulan Kita

Berbagi)”. Tema ini membawa semangat

berbagi di bulan Ramadhan melalui varian

program, antara lain buka bersama, belanja

bersama yatim dan dhuafa, baju baru lebaran,

paket lebaran dan beberapa program lainnya.

With these programs, the Human Initiative

wanted to offer as many benefits as possible

to many people, both the orphans and

dhuafa. The Human Initiative Ramadan

project succeeded to give benefits to

157.886 beneficiaries dispersed in

Jabodetabek, Aceh, Sumatera, Kalimantan

to Papua, not mentioning the regions struck

by disasters in 2018, i.e., Palu, Central

Sulawesi, Lombok, Nusa Tenggara Barat,

and Pandenglang Banten. The number of

beneficiaries in 2019 Ramadan Program

reached more targets than planned. This

year, the amount collected for Ramadan

reached Rp14,329,041,069.

Melalui beberapa varian program ini Human

Initiative ingin memberi manfaat ke

sebanyak-banyaknya masyarakat luas, baik

yatim maupun dhuafa. Proyek Ramadhan

Human Initiative berhasil memberi

kebermanfaatan untuk 157.886 penerima

manfaat yang tersebar di Jabodetabek, Aceh,

Sumatera, Kalimantan hingga Papua, juga

wilayah yang pernah diterjang bencana tahun

2018; Palu Sulawesi Tengah, Lombok Nusa

Tenggara Barat, dan Pandeglang Banten.

Jumlah penerima manfaat pada program

Ramadhan 2019 telah melebihi target yang

ditetapkan di awal. Tahun ini jumlah

penghimpunan Ramadhan mencapai Rp

14.329.041.069.

As an NGO in a country with the largest number of Muslims, a Ramadan program is relevant since

the segmentation of donors is relatively large. Moreover, there were also humanity crisis

experienced by Muslims in several countries. This showed that Ramadan programs are still needed

for future beneficiaries. Ramadan program can also help the sustainability of infrstructure

programs, especially for mosques with programs such as break fasting together and Ramadan

package distribution.

Sebagai NGO di negara dengan jumlah penduduk muslim terbesar, menjalankan program ramadhan

sangat relevan. Sebab, segmentasi donatur masih relatif besar. Ditambah dengan krisis kemanusiaan

yang menimpa negara berpenduduk muslim. Hal ini menunjukan program ramadhan masih

dibutuhkan oleh para calon penerima manfaat. Program ramadhan juga dapat membantu

keberlanjutan program-program infrastuktur khususnya masjid melalui produk-produk seperti buka

bersama dan pembagian paket ramadhan.

In 2019, the Human Initiative Qurban program raised the theme “InsyaAllah Qurban”. The theme would mean that everyone desiring to do the sacrifice can do it by choosing 3 (three) types of qurban animals proposed, i.e., type A 1/7 African and Eastern Indonesia cow for Rp 1,650,000, type B goat or 1/7 Asian and Indonesian cow for R 2,050,000 and type C cow for poor and difficult access area for Rp2,450,000. With these types proposed, it is hoped that it can motivate future shahibul qurban to do it knowing that to do it is easy and the price is affordable. In addition, the Human Initiative made the payment method easy by various methods of payment, whether via its website www.solusipeduli.org, e-commerce, and many outlets spread in shopping area and mall.

Pada 2019, program Qurban Human Initiative mengangkat tema ‘InsyaAllah Qurban’. Tema ini menggambarkan, semua orang yang mempunyai keinginan untuk berqurban dapat berkurban dengan memilih 3 (tiga) tipe hewan qurban yang ditawarkan yaitu tipe A 1/7 sapi afrika dan Indonesia Timur seharga Rp 1.650.000, tipe B kambing atau 1/7 sapi Asia dan Indonesia seharga Rp 2.050.000 dan tipe C sapi untuk kantong kemiskinan dan sulit akses seharga 2.450.000. Dengan tipe-tipe tersebut diharapkan bisa memotivasi para calon shohibul qurban karena mengetahui bahwa berkurban sangatlah mudah dan bisa dijangkau harganya. Tak hanya itu kemudahan yang dibuat Human Initiative adalah cara pembayaran kurban yaitu lewat website www.solusipeduli.org, e-commerce, dan gerai-gerai yang ada di perkantoran dan mall.

The amount collected for Qurban reached around Rp. 36.98 billions with a number of beneficiaries of more than 124 thousand people. The Qurban project is still relevant with the current situation where there are still many Indonesians who have little possibility to consume meat due to low purchasing power.

Jumlah penghimpun Qurban mencapai sekitar Rp. 39,68 miliar dengan jumlah penerima manfaat lebih dari 124 ribu orang. Project Qurban masih sangat relevan dengan situasi saat ini dimana masih banyak masyarakat Indonesia yang masih kesulitan untuk mengkonsumsi daging sapi, karena daya beli yang lemah
