“Pastor’s Weekend Message” A blessed Sunday and a beautiful week my dear people! On this patriotic week, we proudly celebrate the Independence of our great nation, the United States of America. Happy 4th of July to all! Enjoy these beautiful holidays with your loved ones, friends and family. Re-member that we live in the greatest country in the world, but we still must pray for it. It is great because of the work of many of our Founding Fathers and the many men and women who have stood firm in faith as true believers for its rights and liberties since its foundation. We know well that underneath it all, our nation is a ‘Christian nation’ blessed by God. Let us pray for all of its citizens and residents. Today and everyday let us continue to share with one another the ‘liberty to worship in freedom’, but let us not forget that above all we are called to be true Christians in freedom because of Christ who set us free from many and any spiritual bonds and burdens. Let us give thanks to God, in whom we trust, for his many bless-ings. Let us also continue to pray for peace and justice in our nation and our world. En esta semana tan llena de patriotismo, con gran orgullo cele-bramos la independencia de nuestra nación, los Estados Unidos de América. ¡Tengan todo ustedes un feliz cuatro de julio! Disfrute de esta bella festividad con sus seres queridos, amigos y familia. Recuerde que vivimos en el país más grandioso del mundo. Desde su fundación, es grandioso por la obra de sus Fundadores y por los hombres y mujeres quienes se mantuvieron firmes en la fe y verdaderos creyentes en sus derechos y libertades civiles. Sabemos que muy dentro de todo, nuestra nación es una ‘nación cristiana’ y bendecida de muchos creyen-tes. Hoy y cada día continuemos compartiendo ‘la liber-tad de adorar libremente’, pero que nunca se nos olvide que sobretodo debemos ser unos verdaderos Cristianos porque bien sabemos que Cristo es quien nos hace libres de todas nuestras ataduras y cargas. Agradezcamos a Dios, en quien solo confiamos, por todas sus bendiciones. Continuemos también orando por la paz en nuestra na-ción y todo el mundo. Siéntase de ser un americano y cristiano. Religious Education Registrations! Our Religious Education classes are filling up quickly. If you haven't registered your kids come to the office Mon-day through Friday from 1:00 to 4:30pm and do it. Our deadline for registrations is August 1st. Your family must be registered at Holy Family in order for your kids to be able to attend our program. You will need to bring your child’s Sacramental certificates and pay the fees.

IMPORTANCIA DE VESTIR APROPIADAMENTE Con el calor que ya comienza, tenemos que recordar la importancia de vestir apropiadamente en la casa de Dios. Por favor eviten usar vestidos muy cortos, muy escotados y cualquier otro atuendo inmodesto que no cubre los hombros, la espalda y escote. Pedimos que los hombres eviten usar shorts o camisetas sin mangas. Gracias por mostrar su respeto a nuestro Señor, nuestros Sacerdotes y Feligreses.
APPROPRIATELY DRESSING FOR MASS With the hot weather here, we need to remind everyone of the importance of dressing appropriately in the house of God. Please avoid short dresses or shorts, spaghetti straps and any other immodest attire which does not cover the shoulders, back and cleavage. We ask that men avoid wearing shorts or sleeveless shirts. Thank you.
Fiesta Anual XVIIII a Nuestra Señora de San Juan de Los Lagos

Mark your calendars for August 13th because that is the date of the Fiesta in honor of Our Lady of San Juan de Los Lagos. Everyone is invited so bring your friends and family. Come for delicious food, great entertainment and lots of fun activities for the kids! Be sure to buy your raffle tickets for only $5.00 each. 1st Prize is $2,500, 2nd Prize is $1,000 and 3rd Prize is $500 and that’s just to name a few. This year we have Golden Tickets again. For every 10 tickets that you sell, you will be given a Golden Ticket. There will be a special raffle for the Golden Tickets. Raffle Tickets are available in the Parish Office. Good Luck!
