Mr. Paulson: In the four weeks of school we have had so far, Paige Arnold clearly stands out as an exceptional AP Statistician, one that is definitely 3 (or more) standard deviations above the mean! :) Her enthusiasm for learning reaches far and wide and her willingness to contribute to our class conversations is an admirable quality that goes above and beyond on a regular basis. The data that I have collected on Paige clearly tells me that she will continue to be a shining star! Ms. Arnold: I’ve always had a knack for math, and despite how much Mr. Paulson claims that AP Stats isn’t a math class, I find that my abilities transitioned over with ease. The whole ‘it’s not actually math’ bit is honestly why I took this class in the first place. I may be good with equations, but I don’t like them at all and find math problems fairly tedious. I wanted to take Stats because it would show me how to use my math skills in real life scenarios that I might actually use. I don’t plan on being an engineer or an astronaut, which classes like Calculus would prepare me for, but the skills presented in Stats class have a much broader scope that I’m more likely to utilize in the future. Perhaps that’s why I participate as much in class as I can, because instead of learning how to do complex math problems, I’m learning how to apply them.

Ms. Arnold : I’ve always had a knack for math, and despite how much Mr.

Ms. Sommer : It has been my pleasure to have  Andrew Klevann  in Algebra 2 this semester! He is a hard worker, asks great questions, and is ready to participate. Andrew stands out as an incredibly kind and thoughtful person, one who is ready to help others. He steps up without being asked to help out both his fellow students and the teachers ‑ a truly admirable trait. I appreciate how he comes to class with a smile and a friendly greeting each day. Andrew makes a difference in our class!

Mr. Klevann :  I really like working with Ms. Sommer. She is very friendly and helps no matter what. I am really glad I am in her class this year.
