France … voted no, because

• Method 2 is obsolete and it should be withdrawn (Ed: Test Method 2 = load loss method from UK)

• The Method “step load” is to be put in 1st method, because the method classically used for geotechnical structures (Ed: step load method = Test Method 3 from France)

• The new chapter 8 shall describe MLT (Maintained Load Test) and the new chapter 9 shall describe the CLT (Cyclic Load Test) .

• For simplification, the use of “MLT” and “CLT” to qualify these 2 methods instead of “TM 1” and “TM3” is more relevant and clearer.

WG3 decision: TM1, 2 and 3 are maintained.

TM2 (Load loss) should (still) be allowed for those countries, who are in favour. TM2 is recognised.

EN 1997-1/A1:2013 refers to TM1, 2 and 3 (in tables A.20 and A.21)

Sweden … voted no, because

In Sweden the majority of the anchors are installed in Precambrian bedrock, and therefore slightly different/adjusted test methods/procedure are used. The current proposal for ISO/DIS 22477-5 does not take this into consideration. The standard must be modified to allow for national annex with modified methods adopted to the local geology.

For anchors in Precambrian bedrock the load cycles may be reduced by 50 %.

But only on permanent anchors by S-test (acc. to SE NA = TiIlämpningsdokument)

BSI (CEN + ISO secretariat): No National Annex is allowed
