GREETINGS ST. ELIZABETH ANN SETON PARISHIONERS. As the parish draws closer to kicking off our three-

year Building Our Faith Community: Service Capital Campaign to construct a new multipurpose building to house a new day chapel,

an expanded facility for the St. Vincent de Paul Society, increased space for faith formation and religious education activities, and

new offices for all parish staff, we felt it important that parishioners begin discerning their financial support of this effort. We are

not asking for your pledge right now, but we ask that you begin praying about what level of giving is both feasible and sacrificial for

your household as we work to Build our Faith Community in Service.

METHODS OF GIVING

Selecting the best gift plan depends on your personal financial situation and goals. As tax laws are always changing and your fami-

ly’s situation is unique, you are encouraged to consult with family and financial advisors to determine the most beneficial method

of giving for you.

PLEDGES: The Archdiocese of Portland requires

that a parish have at least 75 percent of total build-

ing costs secured in pledges before construction

begins. Pledges are commitments made in good

faith, but are not legally binding. We ask that you

consider making pledges over a three-year period

to maximize the total amount of your support. This

commitment can be fulfilled through weekly,

monthly, quarterly, semiannual or annual install-

ments. There are many options when it comes to

giving a donation.

CASH: Gifts made by

check or cash are the most

common and will allow

St. Elizabeth Ann Seton use

these funds to be put to use

immediately. However, we

will gratefully accept gifts in

the forms of securities, real

estate and life insurance.

CORPORATE MATCHING GIFTS: matching gifts program

provided through your

employer or board

membership may allow

you to increase the val-

ue of your gift. Many

companies match chari-

table gifts or employ-

ees, retirees or board

members.

Payments on pledges are eligible for income tax deductions as provided by law.
