As the parish draws closer to kicking off our three- year Building Our Faith Community: Service Capital Campaign to construct a new mulpurpose building to house a new day chapel, an expanded facility for the St. Vincent de Paul Society, increased space for faith formaon and religious educaon acvies, and new offices for all parish staff, we felt it important that parishioners begin discerning their financial support of this effort. We are not asking for your pledge right now, but we ask that you begin praying about what level of giving is both feasible and sacrificial for your household as we work to Build our Faith Community in Service. METHODS OF GIVING Selecng the best giſt plan depends on your personal financial situaon and goals. As tax laws are always changing and your fami- ly’s situaon is unique, you are encouraged to consult with family and financial advisors to determine the most beneficial method of giving for you. “Faith liſts the soul, Hope supports it, Experience says it must, and Love says…let it be !” – ST. ELIZABETH ANN SE- PLEDGES: The Archdiocese of Portland requires that a parish have at least 75 percent of total build- ing costs secured in pledges before construcon begins. Pledges are commitments made in good faith, but are not legally binding. We ask that you consider making pledges over a three-year period to maximize the total amount of your support. This commitment can be fulfilled through weekly, monthly, quarterly, semiannual or annual install- ments. There are many opons when it comes to giving a donaon. CASH: Giſts made by check or cash are the most common and will allow St. Elizabeth Ann Seton use these funds to be put to use immediately. However, we will gratefully accept giſts in the forms of securies, real estate and life insurance. CORPORATE MATCHING GIFTS: matching giſts program provided through your employer or board membership may allow you to increase the val- ue of your giſt. Many companies match chari- table giſts or employ- ees, rerees or board members. Payments on pledges are eligible for income tax deducons as provided by law.
