Members of the MYSTERY BOOK CLUB are meet-ing on Tuesday, June 2 from 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm to discuss The Jury Master by Robert Dugoni. New members are welcome.

Greenville Public Library Board President, Steven Cicilline, International Author, Veronica Canning, and Library Director, Dorothy Swain.

Ms. Canning donated two of her books: Shoeisms: Working Woman's Guide to Take Control and Be the Sassy, Successful Woman You Know You Can Be, and You@ Brand: Advance Your Career by Building a Personal Brand, to the Greenville Public Library on Monday, May 4. She is touring the New England area of the United States before returning home to her native Ireland.

The KNITTING MAVENS meet on Tuesdays from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm. New members are welcome.

ALZHEIMER’S ASSOCIATION - RHODE ISLAND CHAPTERMondays June 29 - July 20

6:00 PM - 7:30 PMAllow us to share the journey with you. Family members, caregivers and friends of persons with Alzheimer’s Disease or a related memory disorder are invited to this four- part series to learn, discuss and prepare. The Library just received the 2014 – 2015 Rhode Island Blood Center Print by Mike Dooley. The library is a sponsor in the Seasons' Pass program through the Rhode Island Blood Center.

ESCAPE THE ORDINARY is the title of the Adult Summer Reading Program at the Greenville Public Library. The program starts Monday, July 6 and ends Friday, August 7. Sign-up for the program will be held the week of June 29 through July 3. Each participant will be given a booklet with information on the program.

“The lighthouse stands tall on the rocky bluffs of Beavertail State Park as it has for over 150 years. The lighthouse has become the symbol of comfort and strength to mariners up and down the coast. Bubble DisplayZachary, and Noah Isblewill display their minerals and crystals in the Children’s Room bubble. They began collecting minerals and crystals when their great great uncle Sal Avella gave them their first crystal. Mr. Avella was the owner of Apple Valley Minerals in Smithfield.

Friday is Game Day @ the Library

Come to the library on Fridays from 2:00 – 4:30 to play a board game. Bring a friend or make a new one! This is a drop in pro-gram, no sign up is necessary.

Bedtime Story TimeChildren ages 3-6 are invited to join us for a special evening story time at the library. Children will hear stories and songs and make a fun craft! Bedtime story time will take place on Wednes-day, June 17 at 6:30 PM. Registration, which begins June 1, can be done at the children’s desk or by phone at 949-3630 ext 2. Children may wear their pajamas.

LEGO ProgramAre you crazy about building with LEGOS? Children ages 5 to 11 years old are invited to the library on Saturday, June 13 from 2:00 to 3:00 pm to build with the library LEGOS. Please register for this program in person in the children’s room or by calling 949-3630 x2.

Come dance and learn about Latin, Swing, and Ballroom Dancing with Mrs. Le! Children will learn about different types of music and rhythms along with individual, partner and group dance moves.Classes will run on Tuesdays June 2 and June 9 from 4:00 to 5:00 pm for children in 4th and 5th grade with a fee of $ 5.00 class. Register in person in the Children’s Room or call 949-3630.

Please call 949-3630 x2 or you may do so in person at the Children’s Room desk. If you sign up for a performance or program and are unable to attend, please call the library to let us know as space is limited for all activities.

ummer eading rogram 2015Every Hero Has a Story is the theme of the Summer Reading Program. Children ages 3 & 1/2 to 11 will learn about and celebrate all kinds of heroes. Each and every child has his or her own story to tell! Registration for the program is June 22 – June 30. The program runs from July 1st to August 13th. Join in the fun.
