Expertly crafted for superior quality.
Our cabinets are designed towithstand changes in humidity so that your musical instruments don’t have to. Nothing causes more damage towooden stringed instruments thanvariations in humidity. Too littlehumidity and acoustic guitar tops sink in, too much and they bow out.
Each of our cabinets are uniquelydesigned to provide 45-50% relativehumidity inside the cabinet without suffering damage from the potentially drastic humidity differences between the cabinet interior and exterior. To ensure the integrity of your cabinet, eachcabinet is designed with a specific grain orientation and is outfitted with ourpatented Horneff door design. This ensures that warping and cracks are eliminated.
The Guitar Habitat®, Guitar Estate™ and String Habitat® are beautiful usable “frames” for a luthier’s art. We preserve the guitars at the ideal humidity while making them visible and immediately available. The result is that you play your guitars more. Protect your guitars and preserve your investment while enjoying the beautiful art waiting for your musical attention.

The Concordia Chair The Mira Chairby George Nakashima Woodworker by George Nakashima Woodworker
The Concordia chair was designed by George Nakashima for classical musicians. The unique non-contoured seat allows musicians the freedom to turn during performances without the constraints of contoured seats or “house” chairs. These are beautiful chairs made by the George NakashimaWoodworker workshop, and signed by Mira Nakashima, George Nakashima’s daughter.
A master woodworker and M.I.T.-trained architect, George Nakashima was the leading light of the American Studio furniture movement. He was an artisan who favored a more personal, craft-based approach to design.
Nakashima’s singular aesthetic is best captured in his custom-made tables and benches — pieces that show off the grain, burls and whorls in a plank of wood.
