First, thank you. Thank you for being a part of changing lives through Go Beyond! Forty-four years ago, our first group of young campers bustled into a van together on an early Omaha morning. They turned away from home and family,and headed west into the mountains - to climb peaks, raft whitewater rivers, ride horseback over rolling foothills, and watch the stars over a campfire.

In creative ways we will be powered by partnerships and volunteers coming together with our staff and Board, diversifying andincreasing our expertise and impact (see Structure Overview). We will continue diving into every aspect of Go Beyond - includingour Wyoming sites (see Lands and Facilities), financial management, and strategic planning - and building forward on ourstrengths and passion for this life-changing mission.

At the start of 2020 we knew there would be challenges ahead - there always are - but we were filled with optimism. We launched a bright new chapter forus with the debut of our new name and brand, Built from history and partnerships, expertise and ongoing growth, we took a big stepforward as a world-class camp and year-round experience for any and every young person, cost-free.

As Buford/Camp Confidence, we have helped fortify generations of young people through extraordinary outdoor adventures, and we've learned theunparalleled impact this program can have on a life and a community.

Then...we all know what happened. 2020 took its unprecedented turn and we did what so many have done...we pivoted.

Our optimism about the future? That remains as steady as our focus...providing a world-class experience for our campers, builton a healthy, stable and transparent foundation. We, as Go Beyond, will mark 2020 as the year we made a promise to campers:that in 2021 - and for another 44 years to come - they'll have the experience of a lifetime, coming together from across ourdiverse Omaha community, and heading west.

Her story about WHY she is giving back touches on 5remarkable impacts Go Beyond had on her, impacts with noequal in her world. Nature opened her, people moved her.

Going forward, more of each dollar will directly fund a camper's experience as we implementour new structure, and we can promise decades of service to our campers and community.

In 2020 our Finance Committee achieved multiple goals, including: upgrading accounting,stabilizing our budgets, building transparency tools, baselines, and a full insurance review.

The Paycheck Protection Program and both state and county CARES Act funding providedcritical assistance bridging the gap. Hosting local/limited camps due to COVID loweredexpenses. However, we also made the tough, but necessary decision to reduce full-time stafffrom 2 to 1.

We anticipate 2+ years of priorities on financial stabilization and creative program solutionswith one full-time Executive Director and a team of Volunteer Leaders.

2020 was a challenging year in so many respects, including from a fundraising perpective. Thecancelation of our Golf and Hootenanny events, along with substantially reduced privatedonations, resulted in a 40% fundraising drop from 2019.

Thank you to everyone who has helped make the 44 year historyof Go Beyond possible.

The first time I went to our camp nearly 40 years ago changedmy life, as it has for so many. In my fellow campers I found life-long friends. In the mountains I found a life-long love of nature.With counselors I still look up to today, I learned to overcomechallenges and fears. I am who I am because of this camp.

The experience meant so much to me that I returned for severalyears as a Counselor, then on many volunteer work crews forthe properties, and then as a Board Member. Now, as BoardPresident, I'm so grateful to get to provide new generations ofcampers these life-changing experiences through Go Beyond.

As we launch into the hope of 2021, I know this camp can be areal answer for many young people challenged by this chaoticpandemic. They need us, and with your help, we'll answer.
