Design and Appearance

Choose amongst our free-standing, built-in or custom panel models. Colours

in the range include white, black or stainless steel with various nishes;

brushed stainless steel, high-gloss or stainless steel look (with the GE

CleanSteel option that never shows ngerprints).

Bright, easy-to-use colour LCD or LED controls provide a high-tech

appearance for all your refrigerator functions. Dramatic touches including

bevelled doors, hidden hinges and sculptured stainless handles complete the

designs sophistication.

Convenience and Capacity

Great storage capacity (up to 839 litres) and two conguration styles (counter

depth or standard depth) for greater convenience. Enjoy better tasting water

with the easy-to-remove GE water ltration unit. If you like your beverages

cold, the electronic beverage centre accommodates containers of all sizes

and chills beverages to the icy cold temperature of 1C.

Authentic American Style Refrigerator

GEs long tradition in building refrigerators has provided us with nearly a

century of knowledge and experience. A proud example from our history:

in 1927 the Electric Refrigeration Department began producing the

Monitor Top hermetically sealed refrigerator. Its all-steel cabinet was a

GE innovation. Other pioneering rsts like an ice dispenser through the door

on the side-by-side model have made GE a household name around the

world.

High-tech Food Preservation

How do GE refrigerators preserve food longer and better than other

refrigerators? A few key elements: the ClimateKeeper System with precise

digital controls, electronic sensors and a multi-ow air tower manages

temperatures to keep vegetables garden fresh longer. The advanced

ClimateKeeper2 technology, with its unique dual-evaporator system,

also protects ice from odour transfer. CustomCool technology chills in

minutes, thaws in just a few hours, and even allows you to select individual

temperature settings for meats, fruits and vegetables.

Quality

GE is committed to providing the highest standard of quality in the industry.

How? First of all, by using high-quality materials exclusively. Our stainless

models are made of high-grade stainless steel and most exterior surfaces

that have painted nishes are made of galvanized steel to improve corrosion

resistance. Before being placed in the refrigerator, GEs door gaskets must

pass a 1 million cycle life qualication test. In addition, the inner doors

are made of ABS plastic which greatly improves food hygiene and impact

resistance in comparison to HIPS plastic (the material used in standard

refrigerators). Most of all, the quality of GEs refrigerators comes from the

expertise and the tradition of excellence that GE has developed diligently

over the past century.

CleanSteel feature; Available in the GCE21XGYFLS, the doors shine like

stainless steel with a laminated surface but they are actually made of

electro-galvanised steel bonded with zinc (an innovation GE introduced

in 2007). So unlike stainless steel, this surface holds magnets. And

thanks to the magical innovation of the CleanSteel feature, it does not

ngerprint and is very easy to keep clean.

Food Preservation

The ClimateKeeperTM food preservation system uses 4 electronic sensors

with precise temperature control, to keep your food fresher longer.

The ClimateKeeper2 dual evaporator system carefully manages

temperature with higher humidity in the fresh food compartment.

No air transfer from the fresh food to the freezer, protects frozen food

from odour transfer.

CustomCool technology allows you to control the environment and

can keep food fresher for longer with three drawer options;

ExpressChill, ExpressThaw and SelectTemp.

FrostGuard technology incorporates a super-chill phase before

defrosting, to minimise the risk of freezer burn, prolonging the life of

frozen foods.

Convenience

With PreciseFill technology, ltered water can be dispensed in

recipe perfect measurements.

QuickIce setting increases ice production by up to 50% allowing more

ice to be created in a shorter period of time.

The NeverClean condensor coils are enclosed at the bottom of the

refrigerator, so they do not require cleaning in normal

operating environments.

With UltraFlow100

up to 2.96 litres (100 ounces) of ltered water can be

dispensed in one minute with the touch of a button.
