Safety

Quality

We mitigate risk and consider the effects on people, communities and natural environments in everything we do. EHS is paramount every day, from the layout of our workshops, all the way through to the ecomagination program – a global GE initiative dedicated to delivering products that are better for both business and the environment.

Every GE Oil & Gas innovation is driven by a specific and practical industry requirement. We carefully evolve product designs with proven technologies, rigorous testing and qualification processes. Our objective is to continually deliver measurable increases in efficiency, reliability, availability and performance.

Our corporate culture is one of “doing it right” and always striving to do it better, not only by applying the best processes and technologies, but by conducting our operations and relationships with the utmost honesty and integrity no matter what challenges may arise.

Subsea SystemsWith over 7,000 subsea systems installed worldwide, our designs continue to meet the most extreme challenges of this increasingly important sector – 10,000-ft water depths, with pressure and temperature capabilities of 15 ksi and 250°F.

GE technologies enable longer offsets and deeper installations, while ensuring high reliability, safety and performance. On the seabed, our innovations include the industry’s most widely used wellheads and the pioneering BlueC subsea compressor. We also adapt proven technologies with design features that reduce weight and footprint for increased safety and performance on topside structures.

Engineering design, advanced materials, installation processes, controls, lifecycle maintenance and system expandability are all critical to success and key advantages of our comprehensive capabilities.

Drilling & SurfaceUpstream drilling and production oilfield operators and service providers around the world rely on our leading technologies for reliable performance in the most extreme conditions.

We support the full range of land applications from shallow, low-pressure wells to critical service wells drilled to depths of more than 20,000 feet, requiring many casing strings, large rigs and reliable high-pressure and temperature solutions. For offshore applications, we support all facility types - including fixed platforms, jack-up drilling rigs, floating drilling rigs, TLP/spars and FPSOs - with an extensive portfolio of drilling and production products and services for topside, seabed and every point in between.

We also design and engineer some of the industry’s most advanced downhole systems including measurement and logging while drilling (MWD and LWD); reliable artificial lift technologies, with electric submersible pumps; and a full range of proven solutions for some of the industry’s toughest challenges including deepwater drilling, unconventional resources and enhanced oil recovery.

TurbomachineryGE Oil & Gas turbomachinery is relied on in every type of mechanical-drive, compression and power-generation application in the industry. Significant milestones include the first 8 MTPA LNG megatrain and the soon-to-be first floating LNG facility.

Our advanced turbine designs have the unique advantage of including proven aeroderivative technologies from GE Aviation and power-generation solutions from GE Energy.

We have invested considerable resources designing, testing and verifying a new Product Structuring program for turbomachinery. A perfect combination of standardization and customization, it enables cost and cycle-time savings while improving overall performance and maintainability. Another key development has been the expansion of our manufacturing facilities around the world, which greatly improves delivery cycles while reinforcing our commitment to regional economic development.
