TopGas® wall-mounted boilers employ modern condens-ing technology. This principle recovers energy that would otherwise be lost with the exhaust escaping up the chimney, as is the case in conventional heating systems.

In condensing technology, the hot steam contained in the exhaust is cooled to 40 – 50°C. As the steam condenses, the heat it contains is released. This additionally usable heat is returned to the heating system through heat exchangers. As a result, consump-tion, energy costs and emissions are reduced by around 15% compared to a low temperature boiler.

Long service life and excellent energy yield

The heat exchangers of the Top-Gas® classic and comfort are made of high quality aluminium silicone on the exhaust side and copper on the water side. These materials provide excellent protection against corrosion. In addition, the thermal con ductivity of aluminium is ten times greater than that of stainless steel. In conjunction with the heat exchanger's special surface structure, these features optimise heat transfer and improve energy efficiency.

Low emission grid burner system

The TopGas® grid burner system additionally reduces emissions and thereby improves the already superb eco-friendliness of the TopGas® unit. The patented grid burner achieves virtually flame-free combustion. The flat flame pattern stays markedly cooler than gas flames in conven-tional gas burners, significantly reducing nitrogen oxide and carbon monoxide emissions.

Comfort on demand

The modulating burner of the TopGas® continuously adjusts its heat output to the heat demand, producing only as much heat as is needed. This reduces stand-by periods and high-energy, high- emission burner startups to around 10%. As a result, combustion is considerably cleaner, lower in emissions and consumes less energy. In addition, the burner service life is prolonged.

TopGas® wall-mounted boilers are delivered fully assembled and are quick and easy to mount due to a colour-coded connector system. All service-related components are conveniently accessible and can be readily exchanged when necessary.

Compact and discrete

The compact dimensions of TopGas® wall-mounted boilers enable them to be installed anywhere with ease: in the heating basement, under the roof or even – due to their quiet operation and unobtrusive design – in living areas.

With a power spectrum spanning 10 to 80 kilowatts, the TopGas® model range covers all performance requirements. The units are suitable for flats and single-family and multi-family homes, and are available either as individual units or combined with a solar energy system.

Room control – an added bonus

One degree warmer, two degrees cooler, set the system to economy mode or switch it off. This practical control unit not only enhances comfort, but also makes it easy to regulate the temperature to the nearest degree, without leaving the room.

Remote access via TopTronic® online

The TopTronic® online feature allows you to control and optimise your heating system from afar. The exceptionally user-friendly interface is equipped with easy-to- operate features, accessible from either your PC or Smartphone.

Additionally, you can use your mobile phone to communicate with your heating system. Previously programmed phone numbers can receive fault notifications via text, so that you can always be in touch with your system.

TopGas® plus Solar for supplementary heating

If supplementary heating is needed not just for hot water but also for space heating, Hoval solar systems are an ideal option. By expanding the collector surface area, enough solar power can be collected to provide supplementary building heat.

Fuel savings are between 20 and 35 %, depending on the insulation. In low energy houses, savings can actually reach 50 %.

With the inclination towards renewable energy, an increasing range of technologies is being integrated within buildings.
