Grove Bar is perfectly suited to smaller functions, work
parties, social gatherings and birthdays of up to 180
guests.
Located on the fourth floor of C block at QUT, the newly
renovated Grove Bar has an internal bar, lounge and table
seating, outdoor balcony with scattered high bar tables and
views spanning over the QUT campus.
The Grove Bar offers four function space options in an
intimate yet sophisticated style, showcasing quality drinks and
experienced staff.

function spacesTHE BAR AND LOUNGE
Boasting ample seating, a stage & two TV’s, this area is the
main area of the bar and can consequently hold the largest
amount of people.

Tucked around the corner from the main bar is two pool
tables. Pool table hire is available.

With views over QUT and Kelvin Grove, the balcony is perfect
if you would like to enjoy the outdoors.

The Grove Bar is available to be booked out in its entirety.
Featuring your personal bar, pool tables and private balcony,
all you need is 180 of your closest friends.

beveragesAt The Grove Bar we have we have several beverage packages
to suit any event style or budget. We offer an extensive bar
list as well as unique cocktails. For beverage menus, please
contact The Grove Bar who will provide them on request.
CONSUMPTION TABNominate a pre-set dollar limit and a selection of drinks and we
will serve your choice of drinks to the nominated amount.
CASH BARYour guests choose and pay for their own drinks.
cateringThe Grove Bar does not provide any catering, however we do
allow outside catering. Feel free to contact our on campus food
outlets. As we do not provide food, unfortunately we are unable
to provide you with utensils or cooking facilities. Please contact
us if you would like information on who our previous guests
have contacted in the past for catering.

booked. Please note that these must be booked in advance
and are subject to availability.

The Grove Bar is a licensed venue and all Queensland
Liquor licensing laws apply including Responsible Service of
Alcohol (RSA). All staff are RSA certified and reserve the right
to refuse service to any patrons at any time. It is prohibited
by law to serve alcohol to underage and unduly intoxicated
patrons. All patrons are required to produce ID upon request.
The Grove Bar license does permit 17 year old QUT students
entry but they must be a current QUT student (with current
QUT ID) and cannot under any circumstances consume
alcohol on or around the premises. Any person/s found
consuming alcohol under the age of 18 will be referred to
the authorities along with any person/s who provides an
underage person with alcohol. Please be aware that some
QUT events are 18+ events, at these times no underage
people are permitted on the premises. Any underage person
who is not a current QUT student with a QUT ID requires a
parent, guardian or responsible adult to accompany them
and must remain with them for the duration of their time at

CONFIRMATIONYour event is not deemed confirmed until we receive a copy of
the signed booking agreement and payment of the booking
deposit in full.
Confirmation of numbers will need to be advised 5 working
days before your event.
BOOKING PAYMENT & DEPOSITSThe Grove Bar takes payments on card or cash only. Invoicing
is only accepted for the QUT faculty or QUT Clubs with prior
approval needed.
CANCELLATIONSAny cancellations within 3 working days of your intended
event date may incur a cancellation fee
LOSS OR DAMAGEThe Grove Bar does not take any responsibility for any items
lost or damaged. Please ensure you and your guests take all
personal items when exiting the venue. Any loss or damage
to equipment provided by The Grove Bar may incur a fee.
You are financially responsible for damage sustained by you
or guests The Grove Bar.
FOOD CATERINGPlease be aware that you are responsible for the organisation
of food for your function. The Grove Bar do not accept
responsibility for catering issues, please contact your
catering supplier for any queries.
Please ensure you make arrangements for food to be
available for your guests which include alcohol and run for
more than two hours.
REGULATIONSThe Grove Bar management will automatically arrange
security guards for any event deemed to need a security
guard. Charges will be added and quoted as a part of the
room hire.
Please be aware that any advertising of alcohol prices are
strictly against the law. Please refrain from providing your
guests with written confirmation of our beverage prices. If
your guests would like to be informed of our menus, please
ask them to contact the bar directly.
