All of these students were fantastic am- bassadors for our school and performed very well on the day. Special thanks for all of our parent supporters who attended. Lachlan (1 st place), Sophie (2 nd place) and Lily (4 th place) all qualified for the Darling Downs trials. We wish them all the best for this challenging stage of competition. Our winter vegetable crop of spinach and bok choy has been planted and is growing steadily. We have had a large number of very keen student volunteers who have prepared the soil, planted, and mulched the garden. As a result of this level of interest in gardening, we are exploring different options of growing vegetables and herbs in a variety of different containers. We will be collecting any empty two litre plastic soft drink bottles for our next gardening project. Please wash them out and hand them in at the front office if you have any. Thank you for your help. I will be attending a principal’s conference for most of next week. Kathy Doherty will step into the acting princi- pal role in my absence.
