Children are introduced to new friends and to Four Seasons guides who will supervise a
plethora of activities over school holidays and weekend breaks. (Children under the
age of 3 require the supervision

HIGHWIRE ADVENTURE
An exciting forest experience featuring
both high and low rope courses,
adrenalin-pumping zip lines, a giant see-saw and a sensational
parachute simulator.

EQUESTRIAN CENTRE
Whether you seek a countryside canter or a
gentle hack around Dogmersfield Park, the
Equestrian Centre offers an unrivalled equine
experience. Catering for riders of all abilities, guests can also book private
lessons during their stay.
SPA
Offering 2 VIP suites amongst 15 treatment rooms, the Spa is a must during your stay.
If the treatments can't persuade you, take a
fitness class, a swim in the 20 metre
conservatory-style swimming pool with outdoor vitality pool, or simply relax in
the sauna and steam rooms.
SHARKIE'S REEF
This fun packed family adventure pool, features a 4 metre slide, a rotating umbrella
fountain, bubble jets and, of course,
our resident smiley shark, Sharkie!
TENNIS
Hone your tennis skills on one of our two outdoor, all-weather, floodlit tennis
courts. Professional coaching and tennis
lessons available on request.

1086 Dogmersfield
Park mentioned in the
Domesday Book as
'Doccemerefeld' (water
lilies on the lake).
1110 Bishops of Bath & Wells take residence in
the house.
1501 Prior to the royal
wedding in London,
Henry VII, Prince Arthur,
and Catherine of Aragon
visit the Bishop at Great
Dogmersfield House
with the future
Henry VIII.
1547 House gifted to Lord
Wriothesley, 1st Earl of
Southampton, by Edward VI.
1570 First dovecote built. 1646 William Godson
acquires the manor house;
it is then passed to
Anthony Bathurst, and
finally to Edward
Goodyear.
1690 Walled garden
designed.
1728 Ellis St John and
Martha Goodyear inherit
the house.
1728 Current
1744 West Wing built.
1786 Sir Henry St John (3rd Baronet) marries Jane Mildmay and house held in Mildmay name.
1786 Future 1st Baronet
and Mayor of Winchester
Paulet St John, son of
Ellis St John and Martha
Goodyear, inherits
the house.
1789 Basingstoke Canal
re-routed through
Dogmersfield around
the estate.
1868 Walled garden
gates installed.
1933 Land divided
and sold to pay off
family debts of
Sir Anthony
St John-Mildmay.
1942 Dutch and Polish
airmen billeted in house
during WWII.
1946 House used as
Reed's School for girls
orphaned by the War.
1955 Estate sold to the
'De La Salle Brothers' and
becomes a seminary
for Spanish
Catholic
priests.
1973 Daneshill
Preparatory School for
girls and boys occupy
the site. 1981 Fire in the North and West Wings.
1983 East Wing built. 1986 House re-opened
by HRH The Princess
Royal, then • used as an office
complex.
2005 Four Seasons Hotel
Hampshire opens.
