V. Ingress charts. a. Planetary Ingresses b. Cardinal (Seasonal) Ingresses – (See PDFs). c. Look at the aspects contained in these larger charts.

1. Hard aspects. 2. Ease aspects

d. Barbara Koval, Time and Money. Ingress system. (See PDF). VI. Planets hard angle to the transiting lunar nodes-motivated because tough .

a. Good examples in 2010 and 2011: b. Pluto conjunct the NN (See PDF) c. Saturn squares the Node (See PDF).

VII. Since eclipses run with the Lunar Nodes, examine them. a. 18.6 year and their 19 year cycles. b. Observation: (NN) through a sign suggests public notice of trends. c. South Node (SN) through a sign suggests overstock or things dumped on marketplace. d. Measure the 90 days after the eclipses (calendar does this).

VIII. Specialize and pick one thing like the Federal Reserve (see PDF). a. Dec 23, 1913 at 6:01:27 PM Washington, D.C. EST (Lois Rodden). b. Look at standards, but also look at their Solar Arcs. c. 2008 Pluto squared their MC/IC (Feb 3, June 5, Dec 4, 2008) d. T Pluto opposed their Pluto on January 29 2008 as well as June 11,

2008 and November 29, 2008. e. SA Saturn conjunct their SN 18° 26’ Virgo.

IX. Use software such as declination graphs to identify pockets of ups and downs and get a visual if you are not an analyst. a. Keep notebooks. b. Start writing!!

NOTES:

i Voyager made its closest approach to Saturn; IBM Personal Computer released along with DOS later in the year; A lot of nuclear testing took place in U.S. and U.K. Later in year the U.S. and then Soviet Union began discussions on reducing Nuclear Weapon reduction; 400,000 demonstrators in Amsterdam marched against Cruise Missiles; MTV premiered (first of its kind).

AMERICA BY THE NUMBERS

SOME PLACES ON EARTH ARE SIMPLY TOO BIG TO PHOTO

graph: the Grand Canyon, the Great Wall, Egypt's Valleyof the Kings. Those monuments don't fit in any frame;they were made-by God or man-to overwhelm. Youcan visit them, snap some shots, but something is missing when you get back home. So how do you capture a

country with 300 million independently minded and movingpieces? Who would even try?

We hunt the larger truths because we can't help it, especiallywithin sight of a critical election, when pundits and pollsters haveto reach general conclusions about countless specific doubts andhopes. But America won't sit still to have her portrait painted. Ourpolitics especially resist reduction. One reason lawmakers have todraw such twisted districts to save their seats is that we are somuch more purple than they'd like, a tangle of red suburbs of blue

cities and blue counties in red states. That mischievous map of ahuge central red sea cupped by blue parentheses on the coastsmakes us look like a very different country than we really are.

Our Spirit too does not lend itself to summary. To say thatAmerica is a very religious country is both true and unhelpfulwithout a concordance. Researchers at Baylor University identified the different Gods we envision and the worldviews theyinvite. Whether you see an attentive Father or a distant one, a critical deity or a forgiving one, goes a long way toward explainingyour views on military spending, the Iraq war, environmental responsibility and wealth redistribution.

The very idea of redistributing wealth can feel un-American inthe land of Horatio Alger, until you look closely at how it's spreadnow. Half of us earn less than $30,000 a year, 90% less than$100,000. Toget an idea of how we value our values, Howard Stern

,.'\iI~

Where We Live . • •Unlike many developed countries, the U.S. keeps growing. We are also movingsouth and west. But compared with China or India, the nation is a vast prairie

earns every 24 seconds what takes a cop or a teacher about a week.Parents hoping to persuade their children to buckle down in schoolmight try this: as an adult, the more you know the less you'll haveto work. Those with a high school degree or less spend far more oftheir time on the job than those with a college degree or beyond.

If Time is the new Money, then we learn something about whowe are by how we spend it. Although they've cut back, most mothers still spend more time doing housework than taking care of theirchildren-and twice as much time doing it as fathers do. But that isstill a mark of progress. The total hours worked by men and womenare roughly equal-about 65 hours a week-when you count paidand unpaid work. For all the headlines about the time crunch andthe lost generation of latchkey kids, today's parents actually spendmore time with their children than parents did in 1965. In the caseof fathers, they spend twice as much.

Our families are getting smaller-with one vital exception.Compared with those of Europe and Japan, the u.s. population isyounger and more colorful because of the continued arrival of immigrants and their higher-than-average birthrates. Of the 100 million Americans who will join us in the next 37 years, half will beimmigrants or their children. In the next few decades, 97% of theworld's population growth will occur in the developing world; theu.s. is the largest developed country in the world that is still growing at a healthy clip. That matters, strategically, economically andpolitically, as developed countries try to maintain their services,

their militaries, their economic strength. If there is already a gapin energy and optimism between the u.s. and Europe, it lookslikely only to widen in the next generation.

America has always been a nation of pilgrims-people whocome here and those born here who like to move around. Butif you are feeling restless and want to explore the country, don'tgo by the names or you'll get lost. Loving County, Texas, needsto sound so friendly because it is the least populated county inthe lower 48. New Jersey is the Garden State, but it's more likea planter, since it's the most densely populated in the country.Sundance, Wyo., sounds like a merry place, but it was namedfor a Lakota Indian festival in which young warriors cut offpieces of their flesh and then danced in a test of strength. Youwonder who moves to Helltown, Devil's Den, Weedpatch (allin California); Boring, Ore.; Elephant Butte, N.M.; WestThumb, Wyo.; Trickem, Ala.; Possum Trot, Ky.; or Lonelyville,N.Y. But they are all probably close to someone's idea ofparadise. -By Nancy Gibbs

Sticky Note
Watch as sectors fluctuate throughout the years. Ask yourself...what sectors are related to what planets? Mars could be materials or manufacturing. Utilities are Uranus as is Telecom. The outer planets and their relationships to the Nodes can also determine sector change.

SYNODIC/SIDEREAL CYCLE TIMETABLES

These Synodic/Sidereal timetables are the keys totiming. They are the cycles of our Solar System.

1. A SYNODIC PERIOD is the time it takes a celestialbody to make one complete revolution in its orbit, mea-sured from one conjunction with the Sun to the nextrevolution, i.e. Sun conjunct the Moon—the New Moon!The following are the planetary SYNODIC PERIODS:

Sun/Moon = 29 days, 12 hours, 44 min., 2.7 sec.

Sun/Mercury = 116 days

Sun/Venus = 1 year, 220 days

Sun/Mars= 2 years, 289 days

Sun/Jupiter = 1 year, 34 days

Sun/Saturn = 1 year, 13 days

Sun/Uranus = 1 year, 4 days

Sun/Neptune = 1 year, 2 days

Sun/Pluto = 1 year, 2 days

2. A SYNODIC CYCLE is different in that it is mea-sured by the interval between two successive con-junctions of any two planets, not one planet with theSun. This cycle is often used in Mundane Astrology tomeasure important developments in world history. TheSynodic Cycles (mean interval of heliocentric conjunc-tions) are as follows:

Jupiter/Mars = 2.24 years

Jupiter/Neptune =11.9 years

Jupiter/Pluto = 12.46 years

Jupiter/Uranus = 13.81 years

Jupiter/Saturn = 19.859 years

Saturn/Pluto = 35-36 years

Page 14: Forecasting Trends January 2010 F.A.A. - Starcyclesstarcycles.com/images/FullFAAPacketJanuary2010.pdf · Forecasting Trends January 2010 ... the nation is avast prairie ... Populations

167

Saturn/Neptune =36-37 years

Saturn/Uranus = 45.363 years

Uranus/Pluto = 126.95 years

Uranus/Neptune = 171.403 years

Neptune/Pluto = 492.328 years

3. A SIDEREAL PERIOD (meaning star period) is thetime it takes a celestial body to make one completerevolution in its orbit, to return to a given point in itsorbit, measured by its recurrent alignment to a par-ticular star.

Mercury = 88 days

Venus = 224 days

Earth = 365 days

Mars = 1 year, 322 days

Jupiter = 11 years, 315 days

Saturn = 29 years, 167 days

Uranus = 84 years, 5 days

Neptune = 164 years, 290 days

Pluto = 248 years, 157 days

4. A SUNSPOT CYCLE is really 22 years due to theshift of the magnetic poles of the Sun reversing every11 years. Most people are familiar with this 11-yearcycle rather than the true 22-year cycle. It takes 22years of the Sun’s poles to come back to their originalpositions.8

In an attempt to capture their essence, I have put to-gether some images that are presented as exercises tocaptivate your imagination. Next try and build on thisimagery with additional themes of your own for eachplanetary pairing.

Financial Counsel in the Horoscope. F.A.A. January 2010 Presenter: Georgia Stathis www.starcycles.com

For the purposes of today’s lecture, we are looking at some of the indicators in natal charts regarding cash flow, debt, spending, self worth value. We are also looking at what happens when those house cusps are progressed, when their rulers are triggered by major transits, or, even an eclipse. What does this mean? How can you bring this information to the table for your client to have better understanding?

I. General View. a. Hierarchy of Needs – very old concept, a different view. (See PDF)

1. Fourth house – family perceptions. 2. Tenth house – Public expectations.

b. Contemporary: Needs versus Wants. New Models. c. What is the person’s age?

II. Look at their second and eighth and where the houses progress over time. III. Values: Condition of one’s value for self. Second House and Venus. One’s ability to

see the appreciation of others for them. a. Ruler of the second changes signs over the years. If not in the progressed chart,

then in the solar arc chart. b. As that changes so does the ‘value system’ of the individual. c. The house itself will change over time as well – meaning that it will have another

ruler for a time and then one must view the capacity of that ruler and its aspects. IV. Others-their value of you. Condition of one’s Eighth House, or, the issue of trust –

ability to attract to them that which they need for support. Condition of eighth house ruler. Robert Jansky stated that this was the house indicating ‘income’ – what one does - . a. Ruler of the eighth changes signs over the years. If not in the progressed chart,

then in the solar arc. b. As that changes so does the view that others have of them. That ruler will

influence their ‘ability’ to attract to them what they need or want. c. The house itself will change over time as well – meaning that it will have another

ruler for a time and then one must view the capacity of that ruler and its aspects. V. Saturn: Perception of one’s reality or their limitations.

a. What is their “Fear” quotient? (See PDF). b. Put Saturn on their Ascendant.

VI. Spending habits.

a. Jupiter squares or transits? b. Reasonable and Unreasonable Requests (What is your fear factor?) c. Capacity to budget or maneuver. d. Angular, Cardinal? Fixed, succedent? Mutable, Cadent?

Sticky Note
EARNING CYCLE THEORY Take the declination of the moving secondary progressed Moon. Idea is that as it moves above 00 declination North, the earning cycle increases. As it drops below it changes. This works well if doing research for countries and companies as well.

MEANINGS OF THE LUNAR PHASES

Lunar Phases are useful for timing the natural flow of aprocess. You and your company will accomplish a great dealmore when you follow the Moon’s cycles than if you forcethings to occur at inappropriate times. (Illustration 28)

Following are the meanings of the various phases:

New Moon: This is the beginning of the cycle. You seethings from your personal perspective and new activities andideas flow through your body and mind. There is the poten-tial to try a new way of doing things or to have a clear pic-ture of what you would like to do. This is the time to begin

new projects and start-ups.

Crescent Phase: This is a time when work presents itselfand you become aware of what you have to do to overcomeobstacles. You may be handling a lot of red tape, bureau-cratic details or juggling various tasks.

First Quarter Phase: This is when you figure out a struc-ture in which to operate, plan and execute your concepts.Managerial concerns occupy your time.

Gibbous Phase: After seeing and executing a structure,you want everyone to know about it. There is a lot of energydirected at this point of the cycle to achieve your goals andbe heard.

Full Moon: You’ve been working very hard and thingsare coming to a head. However, there is too much to do. Itfeels as though you are stretched out as far as you can be.Standing back and looking at the activities of the last twoweeks (when the New Moon began), you realize you have tolet go of something.

Disseminating Phase: It does exactly what it sounds like.You are disseminating information that you have gatheredand tested. This is a great time to sell and train.

Last Quarter Phase: This begins the quiet phase of themonth. The energy turns inward as you withdraw from theactivity of this last phase. There is a sense that somethingnew is coming and intuitively, you begin to study or learnsomething new to prepare for it. This begins a phase whenyou clean things out.

Balsamic Phase: This is a very still time. It seems asthough nothing is happening; yet much is happening. A seedhas been planted and is incubating for the new cycle. A lot ofideas and inspirations are conceived during this time as youallow time for them to germinate and gestate. There is an oldsaying “still waters run deep”. That is the experience of aBalsamic Moon Phase.

HOW TO USE THE MONTHLY

PLANNING CYCLE CHART

Following are worksheets—an Arc Lunar Diagram (Illus-tration 29) and the template for the Quarterly Worksheet(Illustrations 30a-d) to use in planning. You can make a clearoverhead of the Arc Lunar Diagram by copying it onto anacetate sheet. Using your horoscope you place the New Moonsymbol of the Arc Lunar Diagram onto the house in whichthe New Moon will occur and center it on the middle of thehoroscope wheel. By placing it on your chart in this way,you can approximate and immediately see where the FirstQuarter phase (90° after the New Moon) falls, which is ap-

proximately one week after the New Moon. You then movesequentially around the chart to the Full Moon position, twoweeks later and finally, the Last Quarter position of thatmonth, which is three weeks after the New Moon. In onemore week, a new monthly cycle begins again at the nextNew Moon.

On the graphed Annual/Quarterly worksheets you enterthe dates of these phases by using either the Starcycles An-nual Planning Calendar or any other calendars that may havethese indicators marked. Each year the New Moon againoccurs in the same general area of your horoscope or yourcompany’s horoscope around the same time. It moves youto the next levels of planning that have evolved from the pre-vious year’s New Moon in roughly the same area of the chart.

MORE ADVANCED USES

OF THE PHASE ARC CYCLE

A more advanced application of this quarterly phasemeasurement can be viewed differently. Look at it now as ameasurement of the four greater quarters of the year fromany given New Moon point. The 90° angle for the First QuarterPhase of the Moon for that month now corresponds to thefirst three-month period following that point. In other words,if the New Moon were to occur at the Spring Equinox at 0°Aries, then its corresponding First Quarter square for thatyear then falls at Summer Solstice at 0° Cancer, which is 90°from the 0° Aries point. Sequentially, the 90° distance fromthe Summer Solstice then falls at the Fall Equinox at 0° Libraand finally follows three months after that at the Winter Sol-stice at 0° Capricorn. If the First Quarter falls in Libra, thenninety days later the First Quarter square will be somewherenear or around Capricorn and so forth.

At first this may seem complicated, but it provides a de-

Planets in a Corporation – Sound Bullets

©Georgia Stathis 2003 The Sun represents the life force of the individual or the company. The Sun of an individual as well as a company represents the driving force. This is particularly true if the Sun is placed in an angular position in the chart. My experience has been that if the sun is in the first house, then because the first house is the Aries house, the individual may be in business for him or herself and show some type of public prominence by the time they are 35 years of age. Contrary to that, the individual who has their Sun in the tenth house, the natural Capricorn house may not go into business or even reach a peak of self-maintained success until after 45 or 50 years of age. The sun's placement in someone's chart is where they "shine". It is also where they go for inspiration and a shot of new vitality. The part of the chart in which the sun falls is where we find ourselves taking risks and gambles, which relate to the sun being the natural ruler of Leo as well as the fifth house. Gambling and risk-taking are both important elements in business. Therefore, the assignment of the nature of taking risks from the head of the company, who like the King or Queen of the realm, must make the final decisions for the people.

In a company's chart, the Sun represents the chairman of the board or the person in charge. In a sole proprietorship it is the owner. Where the Sun is placed in the chart is where there is a positive influence from former leaders of the company, from the individual's father, or paternal models in life. It can show where those individuals can help influence one's career or company. If we look at the Sun from a mythological perspective, the Sun represents the search for self-actualization as represented in stories of the Holy Grail. There was a search for God, the "Father", and the "Holy Spirit". The search for the father is a myth mentioned many times over in the works of Liz Greene and Joseph Campbell. The Moon in a personal chart represents the containers of the body, the breasts, the stomach, and the womb - the containers. That is exactly what it represents in Business Astrology, too! Containers have many forms. There are the containers that enclose the family, the house, therefore, the housing industry. There are containers that enclose food, which represent the food business or restaurant business. In traditional astrology, the Moon represents the tribe, the family.

In a company’s chart, the Moon represents the public and its response (don't we all respond to the Moon) to the company as well as its employees and their attitudes towards the company. Therefore, the Moon in business represents the public's image of the products of a company. It appears prominently in any individual or company dealing with family products and services. By prominent, I mean angular, highly-aspected or highly focused as in a Kite formation. Of course, again, the only way that we qualify the Moon under the above requirements is to have the exact time of incorporation so that we can not only determine its angularity, but, again, its quadrant placement. Many people who have prominent placements of the Moon or, the sign of Cancer, which it rules or the sign of Virgo, which is its esoteric ruler, find themselves drawn towards these areas.

Mercury is different from the Moon. When you read the ancient myths or stories of Mercury or Hermes, (the trickster child of Zeus), or even Coyote or Peter Pan, you recognize immediately that he is the archetype of restlessness and rapid change. Pictured with winged feet, Mercury moves in and out of the different worlds unscathed. Having no particular gender, nor particular loyalty or place association, a quality very common in salespeople, Mercury is the neutral party that transfers and translates communications and ideas. Its existence is for the sole purpose of solving problems and conveying the latest information. In a company’s chart , Mercury rules the spoken and written word, advertising and printing. A company with a prominent and mature Mercury [angular, highly-aspected, a focal point, or, a chart dispositor], is known for its mobile and facile tongue and wit. The more highly developed the company's or individual's Mercury, the easier it is to work with ideas and communicate well within its company AND customers, where customer service can make or break a company. Incorporating the wisdom of experience into structured (Saturn) solutions, a company can go far.

Many of the wealthy Dotcoms of the 1990’s that failed had one major flaw—their lack of customer service. Like the character of the undeveloped Mercury, [a Peter Pan type personality], who refuses to grow up, they flew close to the Sun and fell into the sea!

The planet Venus is the planet of seduction and desire. She wants to join with another and this is her primary motivation--relationship. Watch the placement of Venus. Is she rising ahead of the Sun (known as Venus Lucifer)? Or…is she following behind the Sun (known as Venus Hesperus)? If she is ahead of the Sun, her motivation is obvious and she gets anything she wants, even if she has to step over dead bodies to get it!!! If, however, she follows the Sun, Venus Hesperus, her motivation is still the same, but she has difficulty expressing her needs, wants, and desires. In a person’s chart, this can be classified as socially reserved, or, less likely to pursue desire. In a company’s chart, Venus demonstrates the ability to collaborate, merge, and negotiate with others in business, an important quality. A strong company Venus makes you attractive and enables you to draw to you what you desire (see above). A highly aspected, well placed or angular Venus can further this ability. This indicates that a company's style is that it tries to conduct its business in a sophisticated and cooperative environment. Its surroundings are often elegant, particularly if Venus is placed in the fourth house or rules the fourth or first house of the company chart. Conversely, if the company has a retrograde Venus, or is challenged by difficult aspects, then it may indicate difficulties in the ability to attract to it that which it needs -- or a good ability to stick with getting what it wants. Venus retrograde may offer a physically uncomfortable working environment, where many offices have bare bones furnishings. A powerfully placed Venus may, however, require a great deal of high maintenance. Spending can be an issue. The added question, is, of course, does the company leader share the same values (Venus)? What can he or she do to insure that its Venus is ‘happy’? This is where a strong Mars is important in solving the ‘high-maintenance’ needs of a strong Venus.

Mars represents your motivation and what gets you out of bed everyday. If you aren’t excited, you aren’t going to go after getting what you want. Passion and inner and outer strength are what keep our blood boiling, flowing, and circulating to build whatever it is we want in our lives. In company charts, Mars represents the motivation of a company. It also represents its ability OR inability to plan strategically and to send its middle managers (the contemporary version of ancient warriors) into ‘battle’ to gain territory, position, and power. Mars was the ruler of Scorpio as well as Aries, before Pluto was discovered in the 1930’s and so it also represents great desire for power as well as desire for activity and meaningful work. What motivates a company’s employees to go out and do what it is they have to do each day? What kind of shape are they in-mentally and physically (Mars)? Are the employees rewarded for their ability to bring home the bacon or, even, extra bacon, in the form of profit-sharing or perks? Is the company respected for its strength and reputation? These are all Mars issues. For those driven to rise in the ranks of their professions, it isn’t just a job (more of a Mercury mindset), but a calling (again Mars) and acknowledgement for great deeds is motivation in itself. There are perks for good behavior and a company that has integrated its Mars holds its people. If a company’s Mars is well aspected it can be a master of strategic planning and marketing. On the other hand, if a company’s Mars is weak, it may have to depend on its ability to socially connect with others and form alliances with those organizations that ARE good at strategy. If a company’s Mars is squaring the company Sun , for example, then it may be very difficult for the company to move forward because it is always putting out fires or ‘mis-firing’ in the wrong direction. Smart companies mature, however, and, become conscious (a Pluto quality), they gain experience and the worst Mars in the world can attain success. Usually this change comes from major wounds (Mars) or difficulties during the course of a company’s life that causes it to transcend.

Jupiter in a company chart has a lot to do with the faith the company has in itself, the belief it has in itself, the ability to expand, or, over-indulge (if poorly aspected) and to be bigger than life. It also has to do with the innate luck or abilities the company possesses that make it the company that it is or can be. Traditionally, Jupiter has a lot to do with the ability to envision, inspire, and look beyond current national models and into more international and collective models. How well Jupiter operates in a company chart has a lot to do, of course, with its house placement and its aspects. More importantly, we have to look at how it partners with its Saturn, the organizational and structural part of the company. For how can a company embody a vision without a solid structure?

2

Saturn represents the structure of the company. Saturn is its BONES (See illustration).

BONES support all structures. In buildings, they are the bricks and mortar, in organizations they are the management--that conservative and efficient quality that uses what is there, identifies waste, and re-organizes when appropriate. Its timing is very good. In a company chart, a well aspected Saturn (i.e. good bones) is very helpful, particularly if in positive relationship to the company Jupiter, which represents its vision. In fact, a well regarded Saturn can exhibit rare endurance. Placed in a punitive environment, it hardens and becomes unable to access the gifts of the company Jupiter. This scenario can indicate a company that makes decisions based on fear, rejecting any “outside of the box” possibilities promised by Uranus-either by placement or transit. Wise (Saturn) leaders working with a mature company maneuver their companies through survival and towards self-actualization. Survival can encourage creativity and motivation if the company leaders don’t get too stuck in past mistakes. During difficult times, stressed company Saturns are able to accept challenges and persevere. In fact, they may even prosper during difficult economic times. In terms of product, a strong Saturn may indicate the type of industry in which the company finds itself such as the building or construction business, the mortar and brick business, and/or the orthopedic or chiropractic business to site some examples.
