Have you ever heard a smoke alarm?
Make a loud beeping noise It is designed to be loud enough to wake you
at night Smoke alarms give you an early signal to get
out quick!
Smoke Alarms:
You should have a smoke alarm on every floor of your house
Inside and outside each bedroom Hallways Basements
Where are your smoke alarms?
Look for smoke alarms in your home Have a parent or an adult test the alarm
every month Replace the batteries in your smoke alarm
when you change the clocks
You can help!!
What do you do when your smoke alarm goes off?
1. Get out fast! Know 2 ways out 2. Meet in a designated meeting area 3. Call 911 Fires can be very scary. NEVER hide under
your bed or in your closet!!

When leaving your house, crawl low on the floor Feel the door before opening it, if it is hot find another way out If your clothes catch on fire stop, drop, and roll Go to your designated meeting area outside and do not go back in the house
