Dear Franklin Academy Families, Today, there is an important message from Ms. Nadal. Pleasefeel free to email me if you have any questions. "Good Afternoon Franklin Academy Sunrise Families, Today I write to you with a mix of emotions as I share that I willbe leaving my role as assistant principal at Franklin Academy. I am excited to announce that I have accepted the new position of Director of Admissions forFranklin Academy. I will be working across all our campuses and for now my o�ce will be atthe MS/HS campus in Pembroke Pines. This past Friday was my last day at the Sunrisecampus. As of Wednesday this news was shared with all staff across Franklin Academy and itwas an emotional few days since I worked at the school level since 2013. As far ascommunicating this with our students, information was not shared with them directly. Pleaseshare with them this update and let them know that the best part of my job was seeing themyear after year. I am so grateful for four wonderful years we’ve all shared at this campus. Please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions and know that I have done everything Ican to make this a smooth transition. Ms. Fernandez's kindergarten class made a craft for theveterans and talked about how important their job is. We usedadjectives to describe the soldiers. Some of the adjectives thatthe students came up with were: BRAVE, COURAGEOUS,STRONG, FEARLESS, KIND & PROTECTORS. Their craft wasdropped off at the VA center on Commercial Blvd.

The Sunrise Campus Speech and Debate class pauses during their visit to the Broward CountyJudicial Complex for a group photo. They observed several juvenile court proceedings beforeMagistrate Judge Elijah Williams which was followed by a Q&A session with the participantsand the judge. Judge Williams provided some words of encouragement and gave the studentssome insight on how the criminal system functions within our society.Today Franklin Academy helped shape our future leaders!

Last Wednesday, we hosted our National Junior Honor Society induction ceremony. Ourstudents and their parents were very grateful for that night and really enjoyed the ceremony.

This coming Thursday, December 6th, Ms. Glenn and Ms. Alegrewill be hosting an IB Parent Information Night. We will bediscussing Academic Honesty in the MYP and IB grades. In addition, please join us to learn about our upcomingeducational �eld trip to Washington D.C for our wonderful 8thgrade class. We are very excited to present our 8th graders withthe opportunity to see their MYP curriculum come to lifeoutside of the classroom as they visit and learn more about thewonderful city of Washington D.C.

These are the moments that students remember when they look back on their education, theyremember the encouragement and the appreciation for their academic efforts and thosememories serve as motivation to continue striving for greatness.
