SACRAMENT of MATRIMONY Engaged couples, one of whom must be an active, registered member of the parish, must contact the Parish Office at least six months in advance of the intended wedding.

Offertory Collection - Offertory envelopes may be placed

in the baskets at the entrances of the Church or they may be mailed to Saint Bruno Church, 1729 Poplar Street, Greensburg, PA 15601. You may also place your envelopes in the black locked mailbox to the right of the Parish Center door. Your financial support is greatly appreciated and needed at this time for our parish to be able to continue maintaining our buildings and utilities. This weekend there is a weekly collection only. Ash Wednesday, Catholic Accent and Saint Vincent dePaul envelopes may be placed into any collection.

Saint Bruno Religious Education Program, Saint Bruno Junior & Senior Youth Group News

In person Faith Formation will begin on Sunday, February 21. Classes will take place from

9:30 a.m. - 10:45 a.m. Classes will be held on February

21, 28, March 7, 14, April 11 & 18.

NCYC - We would like to extend an invitation to all students currently in grades 8 through 11 to attend the

National Catholic Youth Conference being held in Indianapolis, IN in November. If you and your student are interested in this event and would like more infor-mation please contact Emma Sarsfield, Director of Reli-

gious Education (724-836-0690, extension 11 or esarsfield@dioceseofgreensburg.org.) or you may attend a meeting being held on Tuesday, February 16 at 6:30 p.m. at Saint Paul in the Church. The Sanctuary Lamp acknowledging the Real Presence of Christ in the tabernacle is burning this week in memory of

Edward Iezzi by Family .

Thank you for your generous support for pur-chasing Hot Chocolate Bombs for Valentine’s Day. We successfully sold 300 bombs making

a profit of $1,500.00. A very special thank you to Bernadette and Breanna Deutsch for

preparing these delicious gifts.

The 2021 Diocesan Lenten Appeal is offering parish-

ioners throughout the Diocese of Greensburg a chance to “Be the Light” for their faith community. The Lenten season is a reminder that Christ is the light in our lives and this is an opportunity to “Be the Light” for those in need. The COVID-19 pandemic has affected everyone in some way and this includes the faithful of the dio-

cese. There is a way to help by supporting the 2021 Di-ocesan Lenten Appeal. Even a small gift can make a big difference in your parish. Donate to the “Be the Light” campaign to support God’s work that is being done in

Modifications made for Ash Wednesday

- The distribution of ashes will take place in a different fashion this year. To reduce the risk of transmitting the coronavirus, it is not permitted this year to sign the faith-ful with ashes in the customary fashion.

The tradition of being marked with ashes will change to a sprinkling over the head with ashes. The minister, using a thumb and index finger, secures a pinch of ashes from the vessel. Without using words, the minister then sprinkles the ashes on the heads of the recipients. Please remember that the reception of ashes on Ash Wednesday is not re-quired. Whether participating in this ritual or not, all of the faithful are urged to undertake penitential practices during these Lenten days.

Deepest sympathy to Lorraine Dallas and Family on the death of her son, Philip. May the angels lead him into paradise, may the martyrs come to welcome him and take him to the holy city, the new and eternal Jerusalem.

Creed (Recited)

I believe in one God, the Father almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all things visible and invisible. I believe in one Lord Jesus Christ, the Only Begotten Son of God, born of the Father before all ages. God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, consubstantial with the Father; through him all things

were made. For us men and for our salvation he came down from heaven, and by the Holy Spirit was incarnate of the Virgin Mary, and became man. For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate, he suffered death and was bur-ied, and rose again on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead and his kingdom will have no end. Cars will enter the parking lot and loop past the Par-

ish Center where they will be greeted by someone to

place their order and pay. The food then will be given

at the front doors (the doors near the office) of the

Parish Center. We will serve food from 4 p.m.to 7 p.m.

each Friday and Good Friday from

2:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. To those who have helped us in

past years, we hope you will be able to return! We still

need volunteers for this amazing fundraiser for our
