• Marital infidelity• Broken homes• Illicit relationships

• Material Greed• Anger/Jealousy• Disrespect

God’s Plan for the Home

• Over the following weeks we will look at God’s plan for husbands and wives; parents and children

• We’ll look at how the family – or families – belonging to God – exalts the body of Christ.

God First

Our Heavenly Father’s First Priority

• From the beginning He has provided and protected His children. Gen. 1-2

• He even provided forgiveness when he sinned against Him. Gen. 3-4

• In Essence, His love for us is immeasurable!

First Priority: Our Heavenly Father

• Before we can fulfill God’s plan for the home we MUST love God first. Matt. 22:37

• This will be foundational to loving others. Matt. 22:38;

Application of Putting God First

• Devote your life to the “mind of Christ”. Phil. 2:3-8

• Men/Women: understand your God-ordained roles. Eph. 5:22-33; 6:1-4

• Teach/Train your children; Be examples of how to lead and submit in the way our heavenly Father and Son.
