The Poznań University of Life Sciences takes a leading position in rankings of universities of life sciences and agricultural education in Poland. Our university is called a “green university” close to nature, ecology and environmental management.
Its beginnings date back to the year 1870 and since that time we have considerably contributed to the development of the Wielkopolska region and Poland. At present we have almost 8000 students and over 800 academic teachers, including 135 professors.
We provide education within a 3-level system offe-ring various Bachelor’s, Master’s degree as well as PhD programs. Our eight faculties offer a wide range of subjects within 30 fileds of education, more than 20 specializations conducted in the Polish and nine in the English languages.
A comprehensive approach to education is reflected in our care for a high standard of specialization in scientific disciplines. Our diverse and modern infrastructure such as lecture halls, laboratories and workshops is used for teaching as well as scientific and research purposes.
We offer an excellent experimental and research base in the form of 10 experimental agricultural farms and forestry stations. These facilities offer a platform for research, teaching and practice to meet and cooperate.

They have various options to develop professional skills that contribute to their future career as well as their personal development. PULS is a multidiscipli-nary public research university actively engaged in a wide range of international activities and we intend to further enhance this involvement in the coming years. Our internationalization strategy aims to develop, stimulate and promote new cooperation pathways and sustainable networks with other universities and research institutions worldwide.
