PRO DIVISION SEMI-FINAL 1CTS 15 NOCO BULLS 06

Number 1 seeded CTS would face the only team that put a blemish on their record in NoCo Bulls. CTS would not be denied as they came out with a four man pass rush on defense. That pass rush was able to sack David Knighton three times and put a tremendous amount of pressure throughout the game. That pressure might have been why Knighton had a hard time finding his rhythm which makes for a long day for a QB. CTS wanted to prove the loss they suffered to the Bulls early in the season was a fluke. Deuce Richardson navigated the offense with precision and with few minor errors. Deuce would end this first game going 12 of 17 and accounting for two touchdowns. The Bulls were out gunned all game but it didn't help when they lost CJ Lovett due to injury early in the game. CTS would go on to make another championship appearance after this 15 to 6 win. To find out their opponent they'd have to wait on the winner of the Bros vs Mile High Built game.

PRO DIVISION SEMI-FINAL 2THE BROS 27 MILE HIGH BUILT 20

The game between the Bros vs Mile High Built was far and away the game of the year. Going back and forth all game with big time plays being made just about everywhere. Artie Barceló had another one of those “basic” no look, accurate passes to Kyle Mericle for a TD. Artie is the only guy I know that can throw no look, pin point accuracy, with velocity passes. Artie was not 100% healthy and it showed but he still dug deep and played out of this world and was not sacked until overtime. Just as spectacular was Donell Wells accounting for 4 total touchdowns and 345 total yards. He managed to record a TD by passing, rushing, and receiving on the day. Neither of the quarterbacks in this game would accept defeat so we had this thriller head into overtime. On the final play of regulation, Kyle Mericle snagged a beautiful interception, but a savvy move by Moss Henderson to jump in and grab the ball as well, creating a dual possession, resulting in a hotly debated call for who actually maintained possession. The initial call had the Bros getting the TD, which would have given them the win. However, the refs came together and ruled (correctly) that the defender had possession first. Wow. On to overtime, where the first three plays for the Bros saw a net loss of 8 yards, setting up a 4th and 28 to the goal line. We all know with flag there could have been a multitude of scenarios that could have occurred. The one that no one saw coming was a called play of a lateral to Jamiko Verner, pass back to Donell Wells, who runs across the field ten yards, pitch back to Verner, who ran it in for the score (see pictures on PF3 Facebook page). When Mile High Built took possession, the Bros turned up the pressure that saw back to back sacks on Artie that ended the game after not getting to Artie all game. Jamiko was great on both sides as he grabbed ten flag pulls, threw a TD and received two. This win by the Bros sets up a match up billed as big brother (CTS) vs little brother (The Bros).

PRO DIVISION CHAMPIONSHIP GAMETHE BROS 12 CTS 7

The Championship battle between the Bros and CTS was just as expected: a knockdown, drag ‘em out fight until the very end. The final score of 12 to 7 was not at all surprising as these two teams match up very well and typically have less than 24 points combined. The Bros would come out on top for their first A league Championship but I'm sure there will be more to come. The Bros had two huge plays on offense, a 77 yard TD pass to Jamiko Verner and a touchdown reception from D'Ondre Young. With the weapons the Bros have, D'Ondre was probably the last person anyone would have thought was going to get the TD. Donell distributed the ball evenly and didn't key on just one receiver as he completed a pass to ten different receivers, however none of those passes were completed to Moss Henderson, which is surprising to say the least. CTS brought pressure and sacked Donell two times and forced quick passes on multiple occasions. The Bros had two blown coverage's but CTS could only capitalize on one with a long TD to Andrew Alvarez. Deuce drove CTS down the field multiple times but the drives kept stalling out against the Bros defense. The last drive that would have given CTS the lead, ended with a long throw to the end zone that was intercepted. This Championship is well deserved to a Bros team that finally found a way to beat "Big Brother" CTS in big time games. I would not be surprised if this ended up being the Championship game for the next 5 or so seasons. Congrats to the Bros on a hard fought season to come away as our 2018 PF3 Fall Pro Division Champions.

COMPETITIVE DIVISION QUARTER-FINAL 1SWAT 19 FOE 12

The B league playoffs started off with a rematch from the last week of the season. However this time around the winner was Swat and as a welcoming sight, we actually saw some offensive touchdowns scored. Those scores came after the initial portion of the game was littered with interceptions from both squads. Swat was able to capitalize and held the lead at half, 13 to 0. The only score Swat would get in the second half came on a punt return. The star in this game was by far and away DaJuan Thomas who grabbed 5 sacks and countless pressures. FOE wouldn't give up as they finally were able to get some points on the board but it was a little too late. FOE may have had a little better chance of tying the game or even getting the lead if they had played with a little more urgency, but instead they elected to punt on fourth down late in the second half. They did have their defense playing top notch but being down 19 you can't play conservative in the playoffs. Swat took the 19 to 12 win and would see the Oilers in the next round.

COMPETITIVE DIVISION QUARTER-FINAL 2KRYPTONITE 24 MUSTANGS 07

The second game for B league had Kryptonite matched up against the Mustangs. In the first meeting for these two teams, it was defensive minded game as Kryptonite came away with the 6-0 win. This time around there was more offense from both sides but with the same end result in a Kryptonite 24 to 7 win. Dero Ard was on target to help lead Kryptonite. He took full advantage of running when there was space available but also showcased his arm and ball placement. The defense was on their game in this one as well, forcing the Mustangs to punt on multiple occasions. This wasn't how the Mustangs wanted the day to go in their first playoff appearance since fall of 2016. The Mustangs need to find consistency at QB if they want to find success. They did upgrade their overall talent and have shored up the defense. So going into the off-season, the focus should be on upgrading their offensive line, which was sieve this season, and finding a permanent quarterback. Kryptonite would take their #2 ranked defense up against the B league’s #1 offense in Lightning for the second round of the playoffs.

COMPETITIVE DIVISION SEMI-FINAL 1OILERS 18 SWAT 12

The beginning of the second round had the Oilers making their first appearance on the day while going against a Swat team that just had an hour off. That hour between games gives much needed rest to some guys but it also allows some guys to get tight which could work against you. The Oilers would get on the board first to go up 6-0. After an interception the Oilers would take advantage with Mike Uribe connecting on a deep pass to Ryan Conrad-Davis who made a nice catch with two defenders in perfect position (see game pictures). After a second interception and not much success from their offense, Swat would make a change at QB. That change helped as the new QB was able to tie the game up in the second half. The Oilers haven't been the most explosive team all season but they have been the most consistent in their play. That consistency helped them get another win as Mike Uribe threw a pass in a tight window to Andrew Bergner for the game winner. The final push for Swat culminated with an interception to end the game. We shall see if the QB change for Swat was just to get a spark for the game or if it is something more permanent for next season. The Oilers on the other hand find themselves back in the B league championship game.

COMPETITIVE DIVISION SEMI-FINAL 2KRYPTONITE 24 DENVER LIGHTNING 18

The semi-final game between Kryptonite and Lightning was a solid back and forth affair. After initial scores by both teams, Kryptonite took the lead to make it 12 to 7. The Lightning’s top rated offense would not be stopped as they took back the lead making it 14 to 12. Those 14pts would be all the top rated offense could muster up against Kryptonite's defense. Kryptonite on the other hand would finally get some more offensive production as they put up 18pts in this one. The 24th point for Kryptonite came from a game sealing interception return for touchdown by non-other than the captain, Derek Watson. Derek would end the season including playoffs with 6 interceptions, 3 of which were returned for touchdowns. The win for Kryptonite moves them into their first championship game in PF3. The Lightning will take the off-season to make some slight adjustments which I could see might be on the defensive side. The win by Kryptonite set up a rematch against the Oilers.

COMPETITIVE DIVISION CHAMPIONSHIP GAMEOILERS 19 KRYPTONITE 06

To begin the finals, both squads start out strong on defense until the scoring was broken open by a screen pass to Andrew Bergner. The screen took the score to 6-0 until Kryptonite tied the game up before half at 6. The momentum seemed to be in Kryptonite’s favor coming out of half until a Taylor Wells interception swung it in the Oilers direction. The Oilers would capitalize with TD #2 to Andrew Bergner. Kryptonite would move the ball but just couldn't break the Oilers defense. The first half of the game was quite boring from a spectator’s point of view and I was struggling to figure out who the defensive MVP was going to be. The second half provided more choices as the Oilers defense came away with three total interceptions and a few sacks. After the final INT from Ryan Perotin, Mike Uribe found Andrew Bergner for the third (!) time. That third TD for Andrew Bergner gained him the Offensive MVP. That made the final score of the game Oilers 19 to 6 for Kryptonite. Not the finish Kryptonite wanted but with the amount of new faces, there is a lot of potential that could grow together. The Oilers are now the only 2X B League Champions and will get a second chance in the A league. They will come in to the A league with knowledge of what to expect but will they be able to make the proper adjustments?

REMINDER: It is on the team captain’s to make sure their players know the rules and follow them. There is absolutely NO FIGHTING. Doing so will result in HEAVY fines and suspensions. The rules are there for a reason. If fights happen then we may lose the rights to play on the amazing fields

we have. Also, after each game the sidelines will be checked to make sure the trash has been cleaned up. Fines will be implemented to teams that leave their sidelines trashed. So please clean

up after yourselves and your fans. Lets have good sportsmanship and have a great season.

The PF3 Code of Conduct/Suspensions/Fines/Penalties document can be found on our website www.premierflagfootball.com. Click on the Home tab, then select Documents.

FREE AGENT LISTING! GUARANTEED PLACEMENT OR YOUR MONEY BACK!!!

Don't have a team, and have the talent to compete in the PF3's PRO or Competitive levels??? Individuals (18 years and older) looking to play in our league can register here, and get listed on

our Team Captains Facebook page! Free agents must register and pay a $25 fee (plus transaction fee) to be placed on a league's free agent list. Premier Flag Football Federation will make an effort to place each and every free agent! If a free agent is unable to be placed on a team, then all fees

will be refunded. Addition team fees may be required by the team that makes the decision to add free agent to their roster.
