The Bros were the favorite going into the playoffs after going undefeated in the regular season. Well, their match up against CTS did not go anywhere near the same as their match up earlier in the season. This time around CTS had Deuce Richardson back playing Quarterback. From the start, LeBron Deuce was practically unstoppable, running for a total of 93yards and when he wasn't running he was throwing to a tune of 272 yards and four touchdowns. The interception from Ousman Ba in the beginning of the game got CTS going. One of the sealing factors was Victor Harris's sack for a safety. The final score in this one was CTS 34 - The Bros 19. Even though The Bros don't come away with the trophy this season, but they played extremely well and look to build on that for next season. Even in the adversity throughout the season, Deuce believed the vision he had earlier in the season, always saying “Believe and everything will fall into place.”

In a shocking display the NoCo Bulls jumped out to a 20 point lead before Swift even got to the game or so it seemed. Even though Swift had success moving the ball, they were picked off twice in the first half that resulted in scores. One of Artie Barcelo’s interceptions Mike Timm batted the ball in the air and then came down with it inside the red zone, which obviously killed that drive. The score from Swift was late in the game but it avoided the shutout nonetheless. Mark Henderson had a good game as three receptions went for a total of 108yards and 2 touchdowns. That's a solid win for the NoCo Bulls but they still had to contend with CTS to finish this season off as champions. Swift looks like a shell of its former self as they are still trying to figure things out in Tony Lindsey's absence.

Big time players step up in big time games and that is exactly what happened with Deuce and CTS. In the first half the game was scoreless as both teams came to play which makes for a great championship game. The Bulls got on the board first to go up 7 to 0 about midway in the second half. Late in the game it was looking like Mike Timm was going to come away with the defensive MVP for his four sack performance but that was before CTS made a tremendous come back. Deuce had mentioned to me that at one point he had his head down but felt the Lord say “Trust in the vision I gave you before.” They got on the board with a touchdown pass from Deuce to Jordan Murphy. The problem was they only had 6 points. That's when the magic happened, on 3rd and 3 late in the game, the Bulls committed a 5yard penalty. So on 3rd and 8 David Knighton tossed 30 yards down field but the ball was dropped on a jump ball. I heard it would have been a spectacular catch if Logan Stewart could have come down with it. On 4th down, of all things, the snap to the punter on fourth down was dropped which gave CTS great field position. Just the thing Deuce and Co needed. To win the game on the final play, with 4 seconds to go, Deuce threw up a jump ball to Jason Davis, which he came down with. "RESPECT THE SHIPS" as quoted by several CTS players while they were at the B League playoffs. Back to back champions and CTS's sixth PF3 title you can't deny, they are a Dynasty.

What I thought was going to be a defensive battle turned into a back and forth great start to the B League playoffs. After half I thought FOE was going to run away with the game as they had an 18 to 6 lead before Intruders were able to eat into that lead. In the second half, the D-line pressure from Mile High Intruders stepped up their game and it seemed like every snap had a defender making QB Hank Guerra vacate the pocket. After a touchdown tied the game up with a little under two minutes, the Intruders were able to take the lead with a lineman release to Stacy Crump for the extra point. That was just the start of the fireworks as FOE answered right back with a 60yard catch and run to Kevon Wiggins for the go ahead touchdown and extra point making it 25 to 19. What sealed the victory was a game ending interception from Jerrell Germain. FOE would have to wait until 1pm for the second round of the playoffs.

The game between the Denver Chiefs and Colorado Matadors was supposed to be a fairly close game, well the Matadors came out with a barrage of scoring that the Chiefs couldn't answer. The only time the Chiefs held the lead was on the second drive of the game with a score of 7 to 6. However, with an 18 to 7 lead just before half the Matadors were looking to keep the pedal to the metal. To end the half Jahar Staples grabbed an interception. Really the game was never that close again, as the Matadors continued to build on the lead and get a mercy rule win at 2 minutes as they had a 22 point lead. The final score in this one was 37 to 15 which showed The Matadors were clicking in all phases of the game. Even though the Chiefs had John Paul Gaschler at QB, late arrivals and the absence of John himself from earlier in the season played a huge role in the playoff outcome. The Matadors waited until 2pm to face what would eventually be a rematch against SWAT.

For some reason it seemed like most teams had players trickling in from ten minutes to even right at game time and the Huskers were no exception to that. For some teams, players arriving late has a negative effect but for the Huskers that was definitely not the case. The pass rush bottled up Jaleel Ali and the Sudden Impact offense all game. You could start to see the frustration from Sudden Impact at half when the Huskers had a 20 to 0 lead. Sudden Impact had issues with high snaps once again and that's something you just can't have against this Huskers team. This was the second game in a row that ended at the 2 minute warning with the Huskers up 34 to 0 after a Mario Lopez touchdown run. The Huskers only had to wait an hour for their next game against FOE. I know this game was a hard pill to swallow for Sudden Impact but I came away impressed with how they played this season even with their original QB missing all but the first game. Come the Fall season, they will surely be one of the favorites to make the playoffs.

To some, the Swat 19 to 0 win against the #1 ranked Hall of Fame team was a shocker. Not a ton of offense in this game as both teams have very solid defenses. Both defenses started the game with an interception but Swat returned theirs for six and got the ensuing extra point. The first offensive score was a Matthew Marsh pass to DaJuan Thomas that added to Swat's lead making it 13 to 0. This ended up being the third game in a row that ended a little early as Swat had a lead of 19 to 0. Don't get it twisted, this Hall of Fame team was filled with athletes and some former Menace players. I'm not sure if Marcus Crowder will keep this Hall of Fame team together or join back up with another squad but if he can be moved back to his natural position of wide receiver then he could be in awards conversations in the A League. Swat just has to wait for the FOE and Huskers game to get redemption on the Matadors from earlier in the season.

The game against FOE was the most frustration I've seen all season from the Huskers. FOE got an interception on the Huskers first offensive series which they capitalized on to get a 6 to 0 lead. After FOE got a 13 to 0 lead the Huskers were able to get on the board with a slant from Antuan Bloom, making the score 13 to 7 at the half. The Huskers made the proper adjustments to power past this feisty FOE team. Finishing the game with a total of 31 points scored and not allowing another touchdown from FOE. At the end of this game Duke Ferguson was on a tear with 6 total sacks. You kind of can lose track of sack numbers when the Huskers pile them up but I was able to remember Duke's because he kind of disappointed me in the final game. With the win from the Huskers, it set up an all afternoon division B League Championship.

The game between Swat and Matadors started out similar to their previous match up. Matadors had a first half lead of 6 to 0, so a very defensive battle. Out of half the Matadors score on a post from Nathan Colegrove to take the 12 to 0 lead. At that point I started to think we might have another early game ending. But Swat finally got it together about midway through the second half and got on the board along with the extra point to make the score 12 to 7. On one of the Matadors late series, DaJuan Thomas of Swat took charge by moving down to the d-line and beat the offensive tackle three times in a row to come up with two sacks and a forced bad throw. That series of events made the Matadors have to punt. Swat was not to be denied on this day when they got what ended up being the game winning score from Matthew Marsh on a QB sneak. If I had the sort of beef that Swat has there'd be no question to do a QB sneak. The final score was a heart breaker for the Matadors at 14 to 12. The Matadors will see what kind of improvements they can make in the summer leagues they join while Swat gets the pleasure of seeing the Huskers.

From the start the Huskers jumped all over Swat by returning an interception for 6. That was the closest the game ever was. The Huskers defense should be called green chili because they just smothered Swat's offense. From the stats that I could keep track of the Huskers got sacks from Duke Ferguson, (2) Gabe Kline, Paul Bailey, and Marco Brown. So deciding on the defensive MVP was extremely difficult but due to the coverage skills that Dave Bowen (D-BO) showed throughout the playoffs, he was just outstanding along with his many pic six's all season. On offense “Supra” Mario Lopez threw for four touchdowns in the championship game which earned him his offensive MVP award. Runner up for offensive MVP was Antuan Bloom (Spyder) who had catch and run touchdowns of 60 and 70 yards. The other two receiving touchdowns went to JuJuHampton and Tanner Rihorn Svejcar. All said and done the final score was another 34 to 0 win for the Huskers. You could tell throughout the game that Swat just didn't have the legs to keep up with the Huskers. With how the Huskers just totally dominated the B League this season they should be able to compete in the A league. Last I heard we should get a glimpse of how they'll fair when they go to battle in the Best of the Best tournament. Congrats Huskers on your championship win.
