ExtrEmE makEovEr: HomE EditionOn Monday, November 26 (9–11pm PST), the ABC television show Extreme Makeover: Home Edition is scheduled to air an episode that features an AGCI adoptive family, Mandy and Daniel Watson of Knoxville, Tennessee.

The Watson family, who adopted their son Silas from Hannah’s Hope, received a home makeover earlier this year to help with their local non-profit Restoration House that supports single mothers. We are thrilled that their adoption of Silas from Ethiopia will be highlighted. There will also be a special twist in the story—we can’t tell you—you will have to watch and find out for yourself. We want to encourage supporters to watch this program and share it with others to raise awareness for the millions of orphans who are still in need around the world.

Special Note for Families in the Process of Adopting from AGCI

All God’s Children International does not solicit donations from families who are in the process of adopting through AGCI or who have been home less than six months.

Buy Books, Build a futurEI t ’ s n o t j u s t a b o o k ; I t ’ s a c h a n c e f o r a n e d u c at I o n

Earlier this year, AGCI started our largest community development project ever at Hedase School in Addis Ababa. Located in one of Addis’ poorest neighborhoods, 25% of the children are orphans and all of the children come from families that live in poverty. An Embrace Missions team, led by retired Seattle Mariners catcher Dan Wilson and his wife Annie, delivered school supplies for the children and created new playfields, toilets and a library building for the 1,100 students at Hedase School.

Last summer, another Embrace Missions team planted a garden of trees and shrubs and this summer, provided text books. Due, in part, to the improvements, Hedase’s K–8 program has expanded to offer children an education through 12th grade.

But that was just the first chapter in the Hedase story. Today the library shelves sit empty and are waiting for books. Our goal is to raise $14,000*, which will fill the library with Amharic books for all 12 grade levels! Here’s how you can help:

• $25 for two books • $100 for a shelf of books• $50 for five books • $1,000 for one grade-level of books

Together, we can transform the lives of orphans and vulnerable children at Hedase.

sponsor an orpHan; transform a lifE

Join AGCI in giving hope and transforming the life of an orphan in Ethiopia. For about $1 a day—$35 a month—you can provide an orphan with the care that every child deserves.

at h a n n a h ’ s h o p e & p a r t n e r h o m e s

It takes more than food and shelter for a child to grow and flourish. With your gift, we can help ensure a child at Hannah’s Hope receives loving one-on-one care, nutritious meals, physical and intellectual development, and regular medical attention.

AGCI relies on sponsors and donors to provide $15,000 a month for this care in Ethiopia.

t h r o u g h c h I l d & f a m I ly s p o n s o r s h I p Whenever possible, AGCI strives to help orphans remain in their family of origin. Where severe poverty, illness or disease makes it impossible for a widow or single mother to care for her family and places a child at risk of becoming an orphan, AGCI’s Family Sponsorship Program provides a living income that covers food, shelter, clothing, basic medical and access to an education.

There are 361 families in our program in Addis Ababa and Tigray but less than 100 sponsors.

Can you help one orphan? Donate today!www.AllGodsChildren.org/donations*Any funds raised in excess of the $14,000 goal will be used to support similar projects in Ethiopia.
