The current corporate set-up severely lacks a holistic framework to tackle the employee engagement challenges

3

Inspite of all the technological progress, global hyper connectivity, instant access to knowledge , the results of

multiple Gallop polls in US still shows:

Unhappy employees cost the American economy up to $ 350 billion annually in lost productivity

7 in 10 US workers are not engaged with their workplaces

53% of American workers are unhappy in their jobs

US companies spend as much as $ 759 billion on salaries annually for which they receive no apparent benefit

The situation is no better in other parts of the world People working in organizations world over cutting across NGO, Government and Public Sectors and private enterprises are increasingly feeling deprived of meaning in their work place This is translating into poor work productivity, extended work hours, job burnout and stress, health and psychological challenges Current business paradigms, leadership and motivation theories and practices have failed to solve these core issues

who we are

OUR CORPORATE TRAINING COURSES

Consistent focus on teaching the

knowledge, skills and abilities to

succeed in DOING the work required

Great value is placed upon one’s ability to enjoy time off work with

Offsite and Team Building exercise

RESULTS PRESENT SCENARIO

Higher rates of absenteeism

Higher rates of staff turnover

Reduced productivity

Decreased job satisfaction

Rising healthcare costs

Lower levels of organizational commitment and loyalty

= Lack of Employee Engagement

Corporate world lately discovered that the pursuit of doing at the expense of being seldom yields any level of employee engagement…

In the past century, the corporate world has catered only towards developing Cognitive intelligence (which is about thinking) with recent involvement in Emotional intelligence (which is about feeling). There was no focus

on helping individuals in enhancing Spiritual intelligence (the art of being)

Page 5: EXTERNAL_SVYASA CSpR_Business Proposal (1)

www.ccspr.org

An organization that focuses some of its resources on the development of spiritual intelligence sends a clear message to its employee base that it cares about each person as individuals (Dr. Andrew Thorn, Founder, Telios Corporation)

Corporations becoming ‘lean and meaningful’ leading to competitive advantage (HR Magazine, August 1998:46) – instead of simply ‘lean and mean’

Unlike I.Q, which computers have, and E.Q which exists in higher mammals, “S.Q” is uniquely human and the most fundamental of the three (Zohar & Marshall 2001).

Encouraging individuals to find meaning in work, cope with stress, encourage a democratic and community based organisation (Dehler and Welsh 1994, Biberman and Witty 1997)

It is linked to humanity’s need for meaning, an issue very much at the for front of people’s mind in the beginning of this century. (Zohar & Marshall 2001)

” “

…thus, leading to an all new discipline for employee engagement model called WORKPLACE SPIRITUALITY

Page 6: EXTERNAL_SVYASA CSpR_Business Proposal (1)

www.ccspr.org

Several studies show that in organizations that have introduced spirituality into the workplace

have witnessed:

The criticism appears invalid when the goal is limited to helping

employees find meaning in their work lives with scientific tools &

techniques

Like any other initiative, the pursuit of an organization to help employees develop & reach their potentials holistically face certain challenges

6

COMPATIBIITY

ARE SPIRITUALITY AND PROFITS COMPATIBLE?

BASIS: The issue of whether spirituality and profits are compatible objectives is certainly relevant for anyone in business. The evidence, although limited, indicates that the two objectives may be particularly compatible.

DO ORGANIZATIONS HAVE THE RIGHT TO IMPOSE SPIRITUAL VALUES ON THEIR EMPLOYEES?

BASIS: The potential for an emphasis on spirituality to make some employees uneasy is clearly present. Critics argue that organizations have no business imposing spiritual values on employees. This criticism is undoubtedly valid when spirituality is defined as bringing religion and God into the workplace.

LEGITIMACY

Improved productivity

Increased creativity

Better team performance

Reduced turnover

Greater satisfaction

Page 7: EXTERNAL_SVYASA CSpR_Business Proposal (1)

www.ccspr.org

A growing number of organizations however are setting up the trend by embracing workplace spirituality, a breakthrough in employee engagement

7

WHAT DO ORGANIZATIONS SUCH AS RECKIT AND COLEMAN, WIPRO, DABUR OR TATA TEA HAVE IN COMMON?

TOLERATION OF EMPLOYEE

EXPRESSION

TRUST AND OPENNESS

EMPLOYEE EMPOWERMENT

FOCUS ON INDIVIDUAL

DEVELOPMENT

Organizational members know

why the organization exists

and what it values

Employers are valuable and need to be nurtured

to help them grow.

These characteristics also

include a sense of job security

The organization culture

encourages employees to be

themselves and to express their

moods and feelings without

guilt or fear of reprimand

Organizational member relationships are

characterized by mutual trust, honesty

and openness.

Employees are allowed to a

make work related decisions

that affect them, highlighting a

strong sense of delegation of

authority.

STRONG SENSE OF PURPOSE

HOLISTIC CORPORATE

Organizations that promote a

spiritual culture recognize that

employees have both a mind and a spirit, seek to

find meaning and purpose in their work, and

desire to connect with

other employees and

be part of a community.

Page 8: EXTERNAL_SVYASA CSpR_Business Proposal (1)

www.ccspr.org

Center for CSpR was created with a primary objective of providing the corporate world with a scientific platform for holistic assessment & intervention

13

To conceptualize, propose, design and develop parameters,

tools and techniques to assess the degree of

Spiritual awakening and alignment in individuals, and link level of spiritual awakening to the level of

responsibility and position in the corporate

hierarchy

To develop tools to link spiritual caliber to assess the suitability for higher positions and promotions right from recruitment to training and promotions

till retirement – “Chaperoning the

Manager Spiritually” - throughout his/her

professional pilgrimage

To develop mechanisms to periodically check the spiritual alignment of

employees and keep them spiritually fit by way of

timely interventions and inputs to upgrade them leading to the spiritual

flowering of the organization, its

employees, the society and the Spirituo System

as a whole

To innovate practices to demonstrate to the

world the right protocol to live life, in

consonance with the core truth, “Let Spirit

several layers

PROGNOSIS: The Center envisions a future in which corporate entities will undergo an orbital shift to being ‘Enlightened Enterprises’

16

Prevalent Ethics in management are at best the ‘Traffic Rules’, while CSpR intends to be the very skill of driving, enabling one to drive in Auto Pilot mode getting GPS guidance from the light house within

Driven by Spirit and fired by the Realization, Vision and reality of the existence of a larger Spirituo System, will eventually lead to a multi -dimensional abundance, holistic wealth creation and fulfillment, in consonance with the Spiritual principles - that govern all the living existence – material wealth included

With their ‘Corporate Conscience’ solidly invoked and firmly being in the driving seat, organizations will operate in alignment with larger purpose of existence.

They will be inspired to shape the corporate goals, and fine-tune and align them to larger goals of human existence.

Such a corporate transformation will herald, for individuals, a working career with a ‘Conscious Corporate’ – a blissful pilgrimage leading to all round abundance – not just prosperity
