    This exercise is the main thread exercise of the Generative Draftin

    corresponds to a course module and should be performed just after

    Extracting Views

    As in a real life situation you will start thisdrawing from a 3D unprepared model. Thismeans that you will:

    Modify the screen definition,

    Select the working convention,

    Create a front view, Create a right view,

    Create a section cut,

    Create a detail view

    Create a breakout in the detail view.

    Modify the Screen Definition

    Since your starting model is notprepared, you will have to modify thescreen to split it into two windows:one for the Space model and one forthe cartridge. Define the screenselecting the elements shown belowin the prescribed order:

    In the first part of the exercise you haveextracted several views. Now you must putthem in a drawing format and prepare thedrawing before adding text and dimensions.

    You will thus: Retrieve the reference view,

    Retrieve a drawing format from a library,

    Clean up the drawing.

    Retrieve the Reference View

    Before adding a drawing format youmust retrieve the reference view fromNoShow, because you will use it asthe origin of the drawing format.

    In the previous part of the exercise you havefinished the drawing. However, because of alast minute requirement, the 3D modelmust be modified. This means that you willhave to update the drawing after havingmodified the part. Here you will thus:

    Modify the geometry,

    Update the drawing.
