SCHOOL ATTENDANCE
Luna Primary Parents, it is imperative that all scholars attend school
on a daily basis. Scholars miss instruction time and get behind on
their school work when not present. Also, please make sure they
arrive to school on time in order to get the free breakfast and to
not disrupt the rest of the class. Their attendance not only affects
the individual scholar but the whole school. Please help us get to
100% class attendance on a daily basis.
UNIFORM REMIDER!
Please remember non-uniform jackets can only be worn outside for recess. If scholars have lunch directly before recess, they may carry their jackets to lunch with them. Hoodies and non-uniform jackets are not allowed in class. Please reach out the front office if you have any questions

ASISTENCIA A LA ESCUELA
Padres de Luna Primaria, es imperativo que todos los escolares
asistan a la escuela diariamente. Los escolares pierden tiempo
de aprendizaje y se atrasan con su trabajo del diario. Favor de
asegurarse que su hijo(a) llegue a la escuela a tiempo para poder
recibir el desayuno gratis y también para no interrumpir el resto
de la clase al llegar tarde. La asistencia de su escolar no solo le
afecta a su hijo(a) sino también a toda la escuela. Ayúdenos a
tener 100% de asistencia en la clase todos los días.
INSCRIPCION ABIERTA PARA ESCOLARES NUEVOS

¡RECORDATORIO DE UNIFORME!
Por favor recuerde que las chaquetas que no son parte del uniforme solo las pueden usar afuera para el recreo. Si los escolares tienen el almuerzo justo antes del recreo, pueden llevarse sus chaquetas con ellos al almuerzo. Sudaderas con gorro o cualquier otra chaqueta que no sea del uniforme no son permitidas en la clase.

Items to bring per grade level:
Kindergarten – Dum Dums, Kit Kat Crisp
Wafers, Smarties, Nerds, Starburst (fun size,
individually wrapped, no peanuts)
1st grade – bottled water case and juice boxes
2nd grade- hot dog buns, weenies
3rd grade – bags of nacho chips, cans of nacho
cheese sauce, pickled jalapeños
4th grade- cans of sweet whole corn,
mayonnaise, sour cream, butter
5th grade- soft drink cans, Coke, Sprite, Fanta,
etc.
Your scholar will receive 2 tickets per item
donated.
Our school Festival is just around the corner, November 11th
from 5-7:30pm! We need volunteers to help with games,
concession stand, raffles and more!

IB LEARNER PROFILE
Our IB learner profile for the month of November is Open-Minded. An OPEN-
MINDED scholar knows that all people are different. They listen to the points of view
of others and consider many possibilities before making a decision. They celebrate
the differences that make all people unique.
How can parents help to develop this Open-Minded trait at home?
Encourage your child to try new things – new foods, new games and new activities.
Expose your child to different festivals, celebrations and traditions and be sure to present them in a non-judgmental way.
Encourage your child to really listen to others when they speak.
Introduce literature about many different cultures into your home library. Be sure that it is appropriate and reflects the culture in an appropriate way.
A Criminal Background Check must be
completed EACH school year for ALL volunteers.

mantequilla

Su escolar recibirá un ticket por cada artículo donado.
¡El Festival de la escuela ya está a la vuelta, 11 de noviembre de 5-

Nuestro Perfil de Aprendizaje IB para el mes de noviembre es MENTE ABIERTA. Un
escolar de MENTE ABIERTA sabe que todas las personas son diferentes. Escuchan los
puntos de vista de los demás y consideran muchas posibilidades antes de tomar una
decisión. Celebran las diferencias que hacen a toda la gente única.
¿Cómo pueden los padres ayudar a desarrollar este rasgo de MENTE ABIERTA en
casa?
Anime a su hijo(a) a probar cosas nuevas – nuevos alimentos, nuevos juegos y nuevas actividades.
Exponga a su hijo(a) a diferentes festivales, fiestas y tradiciones y no olvide de introducirlos sin prejuicios.
Aliente a su hijo(a) a escuchar realmente a los demás cuando hablan.
Introduzca literatura de muchas culturas diferentes en la biblioteca de
