Release Content – Functional or User Interface Modifications The following system changes or defect resolutions are included in this release.
1. New eRecruit User Interface NTIS# NA SM# 62030
Users will see an updated user interface with improved usability throughout the eRecruit product. The new look
presents users with a more intuitive design, easier navigation, consistency across screens and adaptability to mobile
devices.
System modifications in this item impact the visual layout of the system only. No functional changes are included in
this item.
2. Duplicate 8888 Bargaining Unit Code Removed NTIS # 2304 SM# 65056
Module: New Requisition Request > Step 1: Recruitment Request
Invalid Bargaining Unit field value ‘8888- Not in bargaining unit’ has been removed.
1. Create a New Recruitment Request. Continue without selecting a position.
2. Continue to Step 1 of the NRR and the field Bargaining Unit.
3. Click the down arrow to expand the list of available Bargaining Units.
4. The duplicate entries for ‘8888 – Not in bargaining unit’ has been removed, leaving only ‘8888 – Ineligible
for inclusion’.

3. Agency and Location Enumerations Updated to Reflect latest USAJOBS Codes NTIS # NA SM# 64461
3a. Module: New Recruitment Request > Step 3: Vacancy Locations
Agency/Subagency and Location tables have been updated to reflect the most recent updates on USAJOBS.
1. Create a New Recruitment Request. Continue without selecting a position.
2. Work through to Step 3: Vacancy Locations.
3. Click Add Locations.
The following location expansions have been added:

3b. Module: Applicant Portal > Select Agency and Sub Agency
1. Navigate to an existing Merit Promotion announcement that is open on USAJOBS UAT or modify the close
date of an existing announcement to be today or any day in the future.
2. Make note of the USAJOBS Control Number.
3. Navigate to www.uat.usajobs.gov.
4. Log in as a job seeker with current or former federal experience.
5. Navigate to the vacancy announcement by placing the USAJOBS Control Number of the vacancy in the
Keyword Search field.
6. Click Apply Online from the vacancy announcement.
7. From the eRecruit Candidate Portal, choose “Other Agencies and Independent Organizations” on the item
“By which Federal agency and organization are you currently employed?”.

8. Click Select Agency.
The following Agency Sub Element options will be available:

4. Email Notifications Now Show Unique Vacancy Announcement Series and Grade Information
NTIS# 2305 SM# 65057
Module: New Requisition Request > Step 9: Vacancy Approval- HR Approving Authority
Email notification to HR Approving Authority at the Vacancy Approval step has been updated to include only the
series and grade listed in the vacancy announcement. Email notification no longer includes the series and grade in
every position, resulting in duplicate listings of series and grade.
1. Create a New Recruitment Request and associate 2 or more positions (with the same series and grade) to
the announcement.
2. At Step 4: Assign a user other than yourself as the HR Approving Authority role.
Note: this user will need to have their accurate email address on their TS account and be able to
share the resulting email with you.
3. Work through Step 8 of the NRR. Save and Continue.
3. Verify with user assigned as the HR Approving Authority on Step 4, that the email notification lists only the
unique series and grade, with no duplicates.

5. Print Link Now Available for Minimum Qualification and Assessment Questions NTIS 2110 SM# 63866
Module: Applicant Portal (or) Preview Announcement > View Application Form
Seekers now have the ability to utilize the Print Friendly Version link for each tab of the Questionnaire when
previewing an application.
1. Navigate to any existing announcement on USAJOBS UAT. www.uat.usajobs.gov
Or
Navigate to the “Preview Announcement” link from the Vacancy Dashboard.
2. Click the “To view the application form, visit:” link under the HOW YOU WILL BE EVALUATED SECTION
3. From the Core Eligibility Questions tab, Click “Print Friendly Version”.
• Resulting form will show the Core Eligibility questions.
4. Navigate to the Minimum Qualifications tab, click “Print Friendly Version”.

• Resulting form will show the Minimum Qualifications items.
5. Navigate to the Assessment Questions tab, click “Print Friendly Version.
• Resulting form will show the Assessment Questions items.
6. New Quality Review Form NTIS# NA SM# 64756
Module: Vacancy Dashboard > Vacancy Applications > Applicant Pool
Users may now validate and document the Series-Grade eligibility, veteran’s preference, and certification type
eligibility of each candidate from within the Applicant Pool. This form acts as an automated Rating Sheet allowing
users to assess applicants and document their rating results from within the eRecruit product.
1. Navigate to a Vacancy with an existing Applicant Pool.
(Notice with the new eRecruit view, the Actions section is on the right of your Vacancy Dashboard)
2. Select one or more candidate to perform the Quality Review and click GO
3. A Quality Review form will open for each candidate
4. Select one or more sections to complete.

5. From the Series-Grade Preference Validation section choose the Applicant Status determined by review of
the applicant Snapshot and Resume to be appropriate for each Series-Grade.
6. Complete both the Preference Verification and Certification Eligibility sections as appropriate.
7. Click Save and Continue.
8. Repeat for each applicant selected.
9. Upon return to the Applicant Pool, selections made on form will be accurately reflected.

7. WYSIWYG Merge Fields Now Display Vacancy Data in Email Preview NTIS# 2056/2169 SM# 64760
Module: Vacancy Dashboard
Users will now see within email previews, the vacancy content of merge field tags rather than only the merge field
tag name.
1. Navigate to an existing Applicant Pool.
2. Select at least one candidate and choose New Email.
3. Select at least one Merge Field tag to show in the body of the email. Note with Application References
only single applicant information will appear in preview, not for all applicants selected.
4. Select Preview to see that the correct content of the Merge Field selected displays.

8. USAJOBS Code ‘Reviewed’ Now Maps to Status Within eRecruit NTIS# NA SM# 59730
Module: Applicant Pool and USAJOBS
1. Navigate to the applicant pool of an existing vacancy announcement.
2. Select at least one applicant and select Change Status and GO.
• Select only candidate whose accounts you may access on USAJOBS UAT
3. Select Status of Reviewed and click Save.
4. Navigate to www.uat.usajobs.gov and sign into the candidates account.
5. Navigate to the Application Status section of the account. The Status for this announcement will be
‘Reviewed’.
