 The ele!toral !ollege !onsisting of as man# presidential ele!tors as is

the num%er of mem%ers in %oth the house of the !ongress. "t present there

 The method of ele!tion of $residential ele!tiors has %een left to %e

determined %# the state legislature !on!erned. To %egin &ith' the# &ere

ele!ted %# the state legislature. No& the# are ele!ted %# the people of the

state !on!erned.

/iv0 le!tion of $resident %# le!tors:

 The presidential ele!tors meet in the !apital of ea!h state on the ?rst

5onda# after the (nd @ednesda# in De!em%er and Re!ord their votes for the

$residential !andidates.

" !erti?!ate of ele!tion is then sent to the !hairman of the senate %#

ea!h state on Ath' Banuar#' the !ongress meet in a 7oint Session' &here votes

are !ounted. The person se!uring an a%solute ma7orit# of votes is de!lared
