Education Week Last Friday, our student leaders were privileged to attend an Education Week leadership workshop and lunch at Deniliquin
High School. Ms McGuiness accompanied our school leaders and all enjoyed the challenges Mr Mott presented, as well as
the hospitality of the food technology students. The sit down
2 course meal was delicious and the service provided by the students, exceptional.
Variety Show On Wednesday evening, our staff and ex-students were proud to acknowledge all those past Edward Students who
took to the stage and ‘shone’ in their performances at the annual Deniliquin High School Variety Show. During the
day, our stage 3 students viewed the rehearsal for the
evening performance and very much enjoyed the oppor-tunity. Many thanks to the high school for issuing us with
an invitation to attend.
Jeans 4 Genes Day Last Friday our school supported Jeans for Genes Day and via gold coin donations for wearing jeans to school we have
been able to donate $143.00 to this cause. Many thanks to all students for their support.
Chicken Pox We have had a confirmed case of chicken pox in the
school. Parents are encouraged to check the immunisation status of their children.
Aspire Me, Dance Camp Hannah Hetherington, Kiah Edwards, Matilda Glowrey, Hay-
ley May and Olivia Redden represented EPS at this year’s Dance Camp, demonstrating excellent behaviour and being
proud ambassadors for Edward school. These girls spent
Thursday and Friday at the Deniliquin stadium, sleeping overnight and participated in a final performance on Friday
afternoon.
On Thursday 4th August, students from Edward School attended a two day and one night dance camp at the De-niliquin Basketball stadium.
We experienced many different dance styles, including; Conger, Belly, Rhythmic Gymnastics, Jazz, Hip Hop, Ballet, Line Dancing and Aboriginal Dance.
We spent the night at the stadium, watched ‘Teen Beach Movie’ and learnt the moves to the song ‘Surfs Up’ and pre-sented that as part of the concert as the camp finale.
We would like to thank the teachers and organisers in-volved as it was a wonderful experience with special thanks to dance teacher, Jenna Purtill.

Nationally Consistent Collection of Data - NCCD 2016 Each year, schools collate data on students with special needs and/or disabilities who require adjustments to their learning. This data
is harvested by the Government to better inform planning and resourcing of schools.
We will be collecting information already available in the school about the support that is being provided to students. The data col-
lection will have no direct impact on students, there is no testing and does not affect the support or differentiations they currently
receive. Further information about the data collection can be found on the Australian Government Department of Education website:
http://education.gov.au/nationally-consistent-collection-data-school-students-disability
If you do not want your child to be counted in the data collection please complete the form included in this newsletter and return it to
school be the end of this week.
