1 Introduction
This document contains demo scripts, which will help the demonstrator carry out a remote
demo for:
- Safe Campus using ENS, OTNS and integration with Rainbow.
- Student Centric Services integrating Rainbow CPaaS within a university portal or Student
App
2 Safe Campus
2.1 Introduction
In case of emergency, we want to increase responsiveness inside and outside the campus by notifying the right people at the right time in the right place and provide them the right instructions for lockdown or mass evacuation.
Built on a secure and redundant platform, we deliver a set of solutions to address specific
security challenges and API middleware to integrate our solutions within the global security
solutions.
This demo is an example of security solution to improve emergency call response using
Emergency Notification Server solutions, VAA and Rainbow.
2.2 Scenario
A student or a teacher that are facing an emergency, press on SOS button (Security number or
911 call).
You will call a remote number to simulate the emergency call : +33 2 98 28 53 50 and
menu 4. This call generates a SIP call through the OXE. The ENS detects the 911 call
and creates automatically a conference call including the caller, Director and Safety
Responder. Call is presented with a specific ringing and display (priority call)

2.5 Script
A student or a teacher that are facing an emergency, press on SOS button (Security number or
911 call).
- Call a remote number to simulate the emergency call : +33 2 98 28 53 50 (ALE

The caller will have a voice guide notifying that is an emergency call.
This will generate a SIP call through the OXE. The ENS detect the emergency call and
create automatically a conference call including the caller, Director and Safety
Responder. Call is presented with a specific ringing and display (priority call)
At this time of the demo, show on remote desktop, that the school director receives a call on his
IPDSP and his rainbow Client
ENS can perform multi-channel notification and apply call priority on call when receiving
an emergency call:
- Voice call, Voice guide, Silent Monitoring
- SMS
- Desktop alert pop-up Notification
- Alcatel-Lucent mini-message
- Rainbow chat
From the ENS Real time panel (google Chrome), show that the caller, the director, the safety
responder and 112 or 911 center are in conference call.
From this interface, the school director can add another person to this call and can hang up or
hang on the calls.
ENS enhances coordination capabilities between safety team (director and safety responder)
thanks to on the fly conferencing and ability to manage from a graphical interface all conference
participants.

The conference application is a web application which can be integrated within any software
used for safety and security.
For example, one of our customer has integrated it within a crisis management application used
by cruise ship company to make easier the coordination of crisis between cruise ship and the
headquarter.
Show the ENS admin interface (google chrome), to present all the calls received by ENS, the call
log history and the recorded conference call for post incident analysis.
Thanks to ENS we can get information about the exact localization of the caller and get tracking
to ensure an alert has been acknowledge by an operator
In the meantime, the school director that is a part of security campus team (bubble in Rainbow)
received a Rainbow message with a Url to the map showing the emergency call location (Zone
2).
The map allows security personnel to see emergency end-points using customer’s own maps,
visualize safe evacuation paths and instantly communicate critical data to targeted groups in
real time. Customers can utilize building maps, displays of floor plans, schematics with support
for video surveillance integration.

In the conference call the school director will check with the caller that there is a real
emergency and issues.
Click on Url to display the alarm location:
School director hang up the call with the caller from ENS real time panel and issues a
“code red” alert from Rainbow bubble “education Z2 Notification”
Student and teacher on mobile phone received a security alert on Rainbow with security
instructions:

3 Student Centric Services
3.1 Introduction
Student Centric Services begins with a positive engagement and application to the university;
followed by providing them with the tools to obtain tutoring and mentorship, as well as all
course communications; which extends to the applications the student uses, including LMS, SIS,
and even when interacting with the Help Desk.
Providing these services empowers the student, helping achieve academic success.
The following demo is about integrating Rainbow CPaaS platform with Students App or portal
that are using daily.
3.2 Scenario
You can start by presenting Rainbow as UCaaS application, as an app on mobile phone, tablet or as desktop app on PC, Rainbow application help students to collaborate with each other or with their teacher in a secure environment and without any risks on their exchanged data or information.
In a second step, present Rainbow as a CPaaS platform that can be integrated in the Campus ecosystem and that can provide more capabilities and services, like the education chatbot integrated through Rainbow CPaaS platform within a web site or university portal, or also embeded in Student app.
In this demo we present a web application with three options to provide information about:
• Student schedule
• The campus restaurant menu

Rainbow is interacting with user through a chatbot using Rainbow NodeJS APIs.
The chatbot send a request to module or a connector that interact with a calendar or DataBase
to get information.
Menu 1: Restaurants
This menu provides information about the menus of the restaurant in the campus: there is a
predefined question that we could ask to chatbot by just clicking on the two buttons: Menu
today and Menu tomorrow:

“What is the menu for Sunday?”
Or by chat, and then you can type your question:

3.4 High level architecture
3.5 Conclusion
This is a basic Rainbow chatbot that interacts with students and provides them answers to their
question regarding their schedule, the menu in the restaurant or the booking of a classroom for
a presentation.
We could imagine more powerful Rainbow chatbots if we connect to LMS (Learning Management
System) to notify students about course updates or assignments, or also to SIS (Student
Information Services) to get admin information.
