How to install MS DEMO Program

MS DEMO Program – start to install • note: because the device needs always plug-in adapter during

installing process, user has to prepare Keyboard Docking for it.• Step 1: Plug in SD Card/ USB Flash

• Step 2: Switch to Desktop mode

• Step 3: Open the file manager

• Step 4: Go to the SD card/ USB Flash, and click “install” folder and choose corresponding platform folder and double click “WindowsDemoInstall” file

• Step 5: Automatically launch welcome page then click “Next” button1 2

MS DEMO Program – ULA and Password setup

• Step 6: Follow installation process, app will access the ULA page and click “Accept” button to the next step.

• Step 7: User can type new password to enter Administrator mode. User can reinstall Demo program here.(default password: trs80)

• Step 8: Once entering password is done, just click “Next” button1 2

• Step 9: At Set Store information page, user can just click “Next” button without entering any other information.

• step 10: Once it’s done, app will automatically install and take up to 5 minutes.

• Step 11: Once setup process is done, app will display installed page then click “finish” button.

• Step 12: At last step, app will ask user to restart the device in order to setup MS demo account which will take about 30~40 mins.– Note: during setup period, please note

• Power adopter is plug-in

• Internet connection status is not an issue

MS DEMO Program – setup complete• After app setup is completed.

– System will generate one virtual user account .

– Which contains MS demo apps: email app has example emails; message app has existing messages. Please let customer try and test.

– Also contains one video demo app “Meet the New Windows” on the start screen.

– Also, enable screensaver demo app during the System idle.

How to uninstall MS DEMO Program

MS DEMO Program – Switch User Account

• Step 1: Click user account on the top right-hand corner

• Step 2: Log in Demo Device as Administrator.

• Step 3: Enter password which is the same one as entering during installation of the PC. (Default password is trs80.)

MS DEMO Program – click Uninstall Windows Demo Experience Store app

• Step 1: Click “Uninstall” icon on the Start screen.

• Step 2: Click “Yes” to continue uninstallation

• Step 3: The Windows 8 demo will now be uninstalled.

• Step 4: Follow the prompt message to reset the PC by using Push Button Reset feature (PBR). Uninstalling the Demo Experience using PBR will restore to factory state – removing all the Demo files and the User profiles.
